CHAPTER 27: DANGER 1

ALPHA BRIMSTONE'S POV

"What are you saying?" I asked with a sneer. I knew Zac well and he wasn't the type to pity my women so why was Monica's case different? He removed his hands from my shoulder and took a step back "I knew I have always been indifferent about your women's matters and that was because I never had any connection with them but Monica is different~" He replied and I raised a brow "How is she different?" I had no idea what he was insinuating or trying to pass across after he already told me that he had no feelings for Monica and was still confusing me to believe him.

He sucked in a deep breath "She is different because I introduced her to you." He replied and I sucked my teeth. I let out a deep breath and closed the bathroom door "And is she the first woman you ever introduced to me? Have you forgotten that you were the one who introduced the last Luna who died to me?" I asked and he groaned. "Let's talk when you're done bathing, Brimstone. I will wait for you." He said and with that, he walked over to my bed and laid down. I stretched my hand to stop him but I stopped and groaned "He's already closed his eyes." I mumbled inwardly and turned to enter the bathroom.

I had a quick bath after which I returned to my room and dressed up. "So, can we talk now?" Zac asked me but I shook my head and shrugged "No need, I'm done with that conversation. I know you can never fall in love with her but it's not the same with her, she can always fall in love with you and I think she has done that already. Let's get on the way." I said to him as I picked up my car key and sat back in bed to wear the shoes that I had picked. Zac climbed down the bed and sat beside me "What's the matter? Why do you think she is in love with me? You know her very well and you know she won't fall in love so easily." He tried to convince me but I knew what I saw and it was obvious that she was head over heels in love with him.

Not to argue further with him, I shrugged and stood up as I was done putting on my shoes "Let's get going." I said to him and he frowned "To where?" He asked and I grunted "Have you forgotten about the meeting we have with the Alphas today? What's up with you?" I questioned, feeling irritated as I shook my head and walked toward the door he ran after me to catch up but I made sure he wasn't able to by increasing my steps and making sure I was faster than him. Thanks to our childish play, We were able to get to the car on time and some of my men rushed over. "What do we do, Lord Brimstone?" John, the head of the outer men asked me and I checked my watch ~ "We are running late already and the meeting should have started already. They haven't called to report anything to me which means things are still going well but we still can't relax. I want you to trail behind me and when we are about to get there, scatter around the area and make sure no suspicious person can get to the meeting. I don't want to dirty my clothes today so I'd rather like you guys to do a good job and not give me anything to clean up, okay?" I said to them and they nodded their heads in agreement. "We will do as you say, Lord Brimstone," John replied with a deep bow and he immediately got to work. He assembled his men and started addressing them on what to do while I entered my car with Zac.

"I should drive." Zac said and I rolled my eyes "Is this because of what you did? You want to act all good now?" I questioned him as I knew well enough that Zac hated to drive. He would never volunteer to drive unless I forced him and he smiled slyly "Not that. I just want to break a rule today and treat you right. You know how special you are to me, right?" He asked and I snickered. "Gross!" I replied and rolled my eyes as I settled behind the wheels and closed the door. He laughed and winked at me before he walked over to the other side of the car and opened the door. "Okay! Let us enjoy the ride from our powerful Brimstone!" He cheered and waved his hands as if he was dancing to a song that was never played.

I looked at him and smiled secretly. "We are leaving," I said out loud so Zac and John could hear and with that, I started the car's engine and drove off. We were only twenty minutes into the drive when I felt something and I frowned "I feel like something is off. Do you feel like that too?" I asked Zac and his eyes darkened. He looked behind us and grunted, "Some bastards seem to want to say their final goodbye to this world today." He replied and I smirked. I could see them too~
