CHAPTER 25: CONFUSED

MONICA'S POV

It took me a few minutes before I could decide what I was supposed to do after the realization I just got and when I finally decided, I went to Alpha Brimstone's study to meet with him and talk things out. I knew my early reaction to him was rude and he would be angry with me, to avoid being thrown out of the mansion, I needed to be on his good side, and to do that, I mustn't make him angry or lose my patience with him as I did earlier.

I was on my way to his office when met two maids heading the same way. "Hello, My Lady." They greeted and I nodded my head in response. "You want to go and meet Lord Brimstone, right?" I questioned and they replied. Well... I loved to call him an Alpha but normally, I knew he should be referred to as a Lord because he already had Alphas under him, and by calling him "Alpha" it would be like I was disrespecting him but I was used to it and I loved that better. "Yes, My Lady, We are asked to give him this cup and pour him drinks too." One of them explained to me and I smiled. "Good. I was still thinking of what I was supposed to do there anyway. I needed to start somehow and I had no idea how to. I guess this is the best way." I said to myself and with that, I stretched my hand toward the maids who both looked at me with confusion in their eyes and I let out a deep breath. I was already frustrated as it was and the fact that they couldn't understand me annoyed me more.

"Give me the cup and go back," I said to them and their brows furrowed. They looked at each other and returned their gaze to me "But... My Lord..." One of them wanted to complain but I waved her off and collected the cup "I will serve him myself. So, leave and don't disturb our peace, okay?" I said to them and they both nodded at the same time before they turned their backs and rushed off. I looked at the glass cup in my hand for a while before I sucked in a deep breath and continued my journey to his study. On getting there, I knocked "Come in." I heard him say and I opened the door to enter. I saw him sitting handsomely on a very beautiful chair which looked just as expensive as its beauty but I wasn't able to appreciate its beauty enough as I saw the irritated and surprised look on his face which made my heart skip a beat.

His eyes were fixed on the cup in my hand and before I could open my mouth to explain, he questioned instead "What's going on here? Why are you here and why is it that you're the one holding the cup? Where are the maids I asked for?" He asked and I sighed. He wouldn't even acknowledge the fact that I was there first, all he cared about was his drink and maids. I wanted to roll my eyes and walk away but I held the anger in and walked toward him "I told them to leave, I wanted to serve you myself." I said to him and he smirked. That devilish smile made my heart flutter for some reason and I hated myself for that. I opened the expensive wine on the table and poured him a drink, he took the drink without any word of appreciation and sipped it.

I was still staring at him when I sensed another presence in the room and my eyes widened. I turned around only to see Alpha Zac standing awkwardly at the other end of the room and with the look on his face, something seemed to be wrong but I had no idea what it was. "Alpha Zac, Didn't know you were here," I said to him and he laughed forcefully. He walked over to our side and looked at Alpha Brimstone with an apologetic face. "Should I excuse you? Seems like Luna wants to see you privately." He said and I frowned. The way he spoke, the way his expression was, everything about him seemed weird which made me a bit bothered, giving me a bad feeling about what was going on.

Alpha Brimstone scoffed "Privacy? Do you think she needs Privacy? I'm sure she wants you to stay too. She wants you to listen to whatever she has to say, isn't that the case?" Alpha Brimstone asked me but the question met me expected and left me confused. I looked at Alpha Zac who looked back at me without saying a word and I forced out a smile "Of course. He can stay." I said and Alpha Brimstone smirked again. "This cup belongs to you. You can serve yourself or tell her to serve you." He said to Alpha Zac and he too bent down to carry the wine but I quickly carried it instead and smiled at him "I should help you pour it." I said and with that, I poured the drink into the cup and carried it up to give to him. I was still smiling to myself until Alpha Brimstone hit the cup away from my hand, shattering the glass cup and pouring away the wine inside it.

I turned to face him with anger in my eyes "What do you think you're doing?" I asked, my voice was loud and filled with annoyance and before I knew it, he grabbed my hand and teleported away with me only to later appear in my room where he threw me to the bed harshly. "Silly girl! You're so silly!" He cussed and he moved closer to me. He stared at me for a while and shook his head "You need to be taught a lesson and to do that, I'm locking you in here for a week and during this one week, you will only have two maids to attend to you and they will be the only one who will have access to your room." He announced.
