Savage Silence (Her Savage Secret & Her Savage Bond)

"Are you rejecting me? You know that if an Alpha and Beta reject a fated bond, we both die." My voice cracked, tears streaming down my face on my twenty-fifth birthday. Sam, my brother's Beta and the only man I’ve ever wanted, stood frozen in the kitchen. He gripped the counter until his knuckles turned white, refusing to look at me. "It’s not a rejection, Halley," he lied, his voice rough. "Because there is nothing to reject." Liar. I could feel his wolf howling for mine. But the pack laws were absolute: An Alpha female cannot mate with a Beta. To admit our bond was a death sentence. To deny it was torture. He walked away, leaving me to be paraded in front of thirty hungry Alphas my father invited to "breed" me. He would rather watch me in the arms of strangers than break the law. ******** An old law claims alphas and betas are forbidden to be together, but what if fate deems you perfect? Halley, the daughter of the alpha, is fierce, loyal, and destined to obey the ancient laws that keep the packs in order. But one reckless night ten years ago in the woods changed everything. Her brother's best friend and future beta to the pack saves her and something unspoken sparks between them. Something forbidden. Now, at twenty-five, Halley is feeling the pull of a mate bond more than ever. Sam, her brother's best friend and now beta, is off-limits by every law that governs their world. Still her heart aches for him and her wolf demands answers. As tensions rise inside the pack and threats loom beyond it, Halley must choose. She can either defy the rules and risk war or they deny the bond and possibly die due to rejection. In a world where bloodlines rule and fate is law, how far will you go to claim your own heart?
