CHAPTER 177
CHAPTER 177
KRISTEN'S POV
The computer rang for the video call we set it up on a large screen. Doctor West joined Leigh and me for this call. The screen came on there were three doctor and four nurses in the room with Tyson.
"I'm doctor Kristen and this is doctor Leigh and Doctor West our burn specialist."
"I'm Doctor Paul, this is doctor Tanner and doctor Ryan." Doctor Paul said.
"Doctor Paul, there are to many people in that room half of them are not in proper clothes." Doctor West said.
"What do you suggest?" I asked him.
"The Doctors can stay they need only one nurse. Everyone must me in scrubs gowns masks and gloves. They could be giving him an infection." Doctor West said.
"You are right, we never thought we had been concentrating on getting him breathing to think we should be in proper clothes give us a minute." Doctor Paul said. They all left the room. We were able to get a good view of Tyson, I wanted to cry. Ninety five percent of his body was burned. The fact that he was alive at all was a miracle.
"Doctor West, do you think there is any hope for him at this point." I asked being realistic.
"I don't know yet, I will need to see if they have done any x-rays, yet we need to know what his lungs look like, and how deep the burns are." Doctor West told me. Leigh was very quiet. I put my arms around her and hugged her. Leigh had gotten the closet to Nancy and Tyson besides Stella. We heard the door open into the room where Tyson was. The three doctors came in with one nurse dress properly.
"Doctor Paul have you done any chest x-rays yet?" Doctor West asked.
"We were just going to do that; it was touch and go getting him breathing on his own." Doctor Paul said. We watched as they did the x-rays then had the doctor email us them. We looked at them as they did.
'His lungs are damaged, but with the right treatment they can heal. We would like to see the burns up close. We need to know how bad the burns really are. After two and a half hours going over all Tyson's burns and x-rays.
Doctor West took me aside.
"Kristen we need to see if he can make it past the next three or four days. His lungs need to heal before we try and do anything else. They need to keep the burns covered and use ointment on them. His mate should be by his side all the time, her wolf and mate bond will help him heal faster. I think we should see how he is doing in three or four days and go from there." He told me. I relayed this to Doctor Paul. We set up a time to call in four days. I told him I would talk to Nancy. Then ended the video call. Doctor West left Leigh and I in the room. Both of us broke down crying. We did not know how this would turn out. If his lungs healed then there would be months of skin graphing for the deeper burns. The one good thing was he just received minor burns to his head so his hair should grow back. Most of his tattoos were gone. Even though our pack did not get them I learned from when Nancy and Tyson were here each one represented a right of passage or a mild stone in their life. How was that going to effect him mentally with them gone. I was a horrific accident my heart cried for them. I finally composed myself and called Nancy.
SASHA'S POV
We wok up early the next morning and dressed in our hiking gear. We ate a light breakfast. As we sat and had our coffee we waited for the hotel staff to send up food for our hike.
"There are three trails, easy, experienced and advanced. What trail do you want to do?" Quin asked. I smiled at him.
"Quin we are werewolves, the advanced trail will probably be easy for us,” told him finishing my coffee.
"True enough, the advanced trail it is. We better take lots of water." Quin said.
The food arrived in a pack to carry on our back. We left our room and headed downstairs to take the limousine to the trails.
When we got there Quin instructed the drive to come back in about six hours to pick us up. Then we would get ready to have dinner out in the ocean on a ship.
We check to map they gave us for the trails then headed for the advanced trail. After about twenty minutes I could see why it would be advanced for humans. There was a lot climbing up rocky hills. But we were enjoying it. We sat in a beautiful clearing and had our lunch. We had seen no one else on the trail at all.
"Do you want to shift and go for a run," Quin asked. I thought about it we were in a public park.
"Quin, we are in a public park even if no one sees us shift, what if they see our wolves it could cause a lot of issues. Why don't you call Alpha Morris and ask him where it would be safe for us to shift and go for a run." I suggested. I wanted to let my wolf out as much as he did but this was not really the ideal spot.
"Your right, I will call him and see what he says." Quin said. We finished and cleaned up everything then started back the way we had come. As we walked holding hands like teenagers again, I noticed that it became suddenly very quiet. The hair on the back of mt neck went up. I stopped and pulled Quin close to me.
"Do you hear that?" I asked him.
"Sasha I don't hear anything," Quin said.
"Exactly listen, there is not even a bird chirping no rustling of the small animals." I said to him. He really listened this time.
"Your right, something is not right, I have a feeling we are being watched." Quin said in my ear after he pulled me close to him.
"Let's just keep walking, maybe someone is just being curious," I said.
"We turned and started walking again, we tried hard not to walk fast. Out of the bushes about five feet in front of us jumped a huge wolf. We stopped walking, Quin pulled me close to protect me. We both knew it was not an ordinary wolf it was a werewolf. As we just stood there three more came out of no where. Were they just curious or did they want something I thought. I was not scared neither was Quin. Our power was building inside of us. Four large werewolves were nothing to hand for the two of us, but they did not know us.
"What do you want," Quin asked in wolf.
