Chapter 15 On The Job

I am busy watching two things, a live feed of Rain and everything she’s doing. I have the whole house wired with cameras and sound. I couldn’t be without being able to see her when I went away “To College” well, that’s what they all thought anyway, that was not actually what I did. I didn’t actually need to in order to successfully do my job.
This leads to the 2nd thing I am watching, my target. I am a very highly paid, and extremely successful, assassin for the Russo family. I also act as an enforcer quite often. Tomilino had told me when I was 15, that he knew one day he would have great use for someone like me. My father had been clueless about his intentions for me. He had told me a while ago that it was me who made him keep my father around, not him. He’d known one day I would be a very important and highly efficient asset.
So, he and I had been working together for years. He helped me to get the training that I would need for the job he planned out for me. I highly enjoyed that training. For the first time I was allowed to free that part of myself, and let it live and breathe, that darkness inside of me thrived in that ability. I was no longer forced to cage my predator and dark side to blend in with my peers, or my family. Normal was far from what was required of me in this job.
This relationship also facilitated his willingness to help me with my other projects. He never asked questions, he just helped me with my requests. I think he suspected some things, but he had chosen to never ask. So, I never said anything, which I wouldn’t normally do anyway. The only person I speak to about anything of importance is Rain.
This will be an easy job for me. It has only been a matter of learning his habits and routines. It also helps that he has recently been having his girlfriend spend days with him. There has also been a lot of contention in their relationship, and it has been seen and noticed by quite a few others. This has allowed me to tweak my plan for how best to carry out my assignment. Occasionally Tomilino will dictate the exact method I must utilize to carry out my assignment. However, most times I am given free rein to proceed as I choose.
After a couple of hours of the house being dark and quiet, I disabled the house alarm. After watching him for so long, and having cameras in place, I am aware of all of the codes to everything in the house. So, after I enter the front door I immediately go to his safe in his study where he keeps his 9mm. I am wearing gloves of course so my fingerprints will be nowhere if anyone even bothers to look.
Several types of drugs are left in different locations around the house. He’s a user but normally they only use party drugs occasionally, he has been seen at clubs partaking of narcotics, so this is not out of the question. When I reach the room where they are asleep, I slip inside the door and put on my breathing mask. Once by the bed, I use a small amount of a sleeping gas in the pocket canister I carry. This will keep them both asleep while I carry out the remainder of the plan. This is a fast-acting sleeping agent so it will be out of their systems should any type of drug panel be run. Not to mention, this would not show on any regular panel, if someone wanted to find any trace of this drug, it would have to be requested specifically.
After I make sure they are asleep, both receive a dose of a very potent mixture I have created myself. They will wake up in a drug-induced haze with severe hallucinations as well as anxiety, paranoia, and fear, there is also a bit of an ecstasy derivative in it. This usually ends in a physical altercation and this is what I want to happen. So, once they are closed, I wait, and I watch out in my car again.
When he wakes up out of his mind, she freaks out when she wakes up. This causes him to attack her and rape her. Then he beats the ever-living fuck out of her, and she fights him so he has quite a few wounds from her as well. They then fall into an exhausted stupor. After which I again enter the house, I use his hand with his gun to shoot her and then him. With the scene that is set around them, this will be an open-and-shut case. I make sure everything in the scene is perfect. Then I leave arming the alarm behind me. I go to my car and use a program given to me by Tomilino's IT guys to erase the history of my code entries.
I have to stick around just to make sure that everything goes according to plan. I find I can’t leave until I know things have worked out the way I have planned before I can leave a scene. His buddies show up to pick him up for a planned outing. They find them both and call 911. After the police and paramedics show I verify that it is listed as a murder suicide. The friends corroborate both the drug use recreationally, and the contention in the relationship. So, everything is taken care of, I alert Tomilino and then head home to Rain.
I had watched Rain take a long bubble bath, and I had wished I were there to bathe her and touch her skin. I had watched her simply sit and watch TV or try to read a book. I had watched as she thought about too many things, and went from sad to angry and back to sad.
So, now I was on my way back to the house, and I was planning to wake her when I got there. I had been gone for about 24 hours and that meant it had been too long since I had had my hands on her, which needed to be corrected immediately. Now, I just had to decide how I wanted to wake her up.
