Chapter 72 Nate

The first sunbeam has yet to shine through the tent. Rae is sleeping next to me. We fucked all night, but still, I want more of her. I bury my nose in her sweet hair and kiss her neck. Her body is so tender and soft. I caress her side, her breasts, and between her thighs. Moving down under the sheet, I find my tongue on her pussy. I love the sweetness of her taste, and how quickly she gets wet.

My love is woken by me as I lick her, and she lets out a moan. She pulls me back up and kisses my lips that taste like her.

“Make me come again, please.” She whispers while kissing and sucking my ears.

I lift her up from the bed and let her sit on my lap. Then, I’m inside her. She moans as she tightens around me. I grab her tiny butt and grind it against my hips. We are pounding into one another with a watery sound. I go deeper inside her with each thrust. Kissing every inch of her skin, I finally understand why men are so intoxicated by a woman’s flesh. The luscious, contented feeling I get from every push and pull… I feel like I could come inside her until the day my life ends. She bounces up and down while her arms wrap around my neck. I feel her getting tighter as I fill her completely. Her breasts dance in front of my eyes. She’s dripping all over my cock and thighs.

“I… I’m coming master.” She moans loudly while her red face tilts up to the ceiling. I come inside her and moan along with her.

We fall down on the bed, and she nestles herself in my embrace. We are both sweaty from the wild sex. Under my tender gaze, she lays down and closes her eyes.

“What are these scars on your ears?” I wanted to ask when I first spotted them it in the market.

Rae tightens and sits up. She shrugs on a silky robe and fetches two glasses of chilled camel milk. “They’re just birth marks,” she answers me.

“But you have two long and narrow scars on your back too,” I press on, “I’ve never seen scars like that.”

She smiles. “How many women have you seen naked before, master?”

I take the milk from her hand and surrender to her. “I just want you to know that you have me now. You can talk to me, and I will give you everything I can.”

She kisses my lips and closed eyes, and lets me know that she does understand.

The sound of a loud ruckus floats into the tent as the sunlight comes through. I finish the milk and go outside to check. A young servant boy almost trips over himself while running towards me.

“Be careful, young lad. What’s all this fuss about?”

“Young master.” He nods to me, “The lord sent me. He requested your company, as the other young master is here.”

“The other young master? Who do you mean exactly?”

“Dominic Burton.”

Hearing that name has just ruined my joyful morning. “Alright, tell him I’ll be there in a second.”

After I kiss Rae on her forehead, I clean myself up and go out for breakfast, which looks like a potential feast. All the servants are hastily carrying trays of food and pots full of drinks. Uncle Bentley is taking this little welcome party seriously. Nothing could be stranger than his sudden arrival. Shouldn’t he stay at his post in that town called Moonlit, instead of wandering around? Why did he suddenly come to us, right when we’re about to discover the legendary city? Something feels off here…

“Nathaniel! Look who’s here!” Uncle Bentley exclaims.

Dominic is sitting at the center of the tent, where Uncle Bentley normally sits. He seems different since the last time I saw him at the island of Dead Sea.

“Brother.” I sit down beside him. “How come you’re here?”

Dominic chooses to answer my question with a question of his own. “How have you been recently? How’s everything going with your transition?”

Uncle Bentley chimes in, “Nathaniel has just found his woman. I assume you had a lovely night?” He laughs and continues on talking to Dominic, “We planned to head back to the island soon.”

Dominic doesn’t pursue his question any further. He seems to be marinating on something.

“You must be tired, Dominic. Have something to eat and we can rest here for a day or two. There’s no rush.”

“Thank you Uncle. But I may have to leave for Moonlit soon. My purpose was to find an herb called White Star, and make a potion for Henry. He’s dying.”

“Haven’t you heard?” I cut in while exchanging a careful look with Uncle Bentley.

“What?”

“Henry is dead, killed by unknown assassin. We received the letter from Doug, the butler.”

“I haven’t received any letters from him.”

“Where have you been? Those letters rarely make their way into the wrong hands.”

He remains silent and says, “Did the letter mention how he had been killed?”

“Not a single word. And father forbid us from coming to his funeral.”

I can sense that he is enraged, but is trying hard not to burst.

“White Star. I think I have that herb in my collection.” Uncle Bentley gestures for the servant to fetch his valuable medicine case. “You can have it, in case further misfortune befalls us.”

“Thank you for your generosity, Uncle Bentley. I won’t linger here in the desert any longer. Before I leave, I’d like to have a word with Nate.”

“Of course my dear nephew! Go on! But don’t wait too long, otherwise all the food will be cold.”

I follow Dominic as he steps out of the tent. He looks taller and stronger. No one would know that he’s a Burton if they hadn’t been told. His arms and legs are both stronger than mine. I feel a jealousy creeping up in me.

“Nate, I know you are looking for the city of Dragon Breath.”

I pause, in shock, “How do you know that?”

“It’s not important. Stop looking for it.”

“Why? If you already know about it, then I don’t need to remind you how important it is that we find it. There might be a gem-”

“That’s what I wanted to talk to you about. I know where the gem is.”

“What? How? Have you known this all along?”

He sighs and looks at me. “Look, I’ve always known that you want to join in the Seven Bloods. And I’ve done nothing but support you in that. You are my brother and we share the same blood. Trust me on this one. Stop looking for it, now. Otherwise, not only you and I will get in trouble, but a large amount of people will be in danger. ”

“I’m really confused..”

“I have no time to explain. Take this.” He hands me a piece of parchment with a map on it.

“This is the map that leads to the gem you are seeking. Find it and keep it safe. Trust no one. Then, I will come and look for you.”

I unroll it and see a spot shining in the desert, at a location opposite from our original route.
