Chapter 79: SURPRISE!!!
Emerald’s P.O.V.
As Kristoff, Derrick, Royce, Axel and Brandon were I the office having a strategic meeting us girls with our kids and babies were in the common room having tea talking, I was happy to see that my sister-in-law Tessa come with Axel and she even brought Jasmine with her. She explained that Jasmine loves this sort of thing and has requested that we do the same with their she-wolf mothers. A big explosion rang out causing us to grab our kids screaming.
“AAGHHHHH!!!” At the sounds of our screams and the explosion the men make their way out of the office and running to us.
“SOUND THE ALARM!!!” Kristoff shouted to whoever is closest to the alarm. One of our members pushed the button to the alarm and as it goes off everyone runs to the common room to get their orders from Kristoff. Me I contacted the only other person who isn’t here.
{Sagittarius, help!!!}
{On my way!!!} He says as he closes the link to us. I take my place with Kristoff as I hold our children close.
“Do you think this is it?” I questioned him of our predicament.
“No, I think this is their way of just testing how strong we have gotten as a pack, I also think this isn’t every one of them, I have a feeling that they have also made their way to Axel’s pack as well.”
“I linked Curtis for help, he said he is on his way.”
“that can’t be, not if my theory is right. Did he close the link between the two of you quickly?”
“Now that you mentioned it yes he did. You don’t thin…..” I was cut off when I hear a screech next to me and Tessa pointing to an extremely dark cloud heading our way.
“Katy and Jenifer take the kids to the safe room, NOW!!!” The rush to do what their Alpha has ordered them as the rest of us get into our places as we planned ahead of time. We have wanted for this moment, if this is a test then we can use it as one for ourselves as well, we can learn a lot about how our enemy works. Me, Kristoff, Jasmine and Tammy takes our stance in front of the other members as they get in their stance or pulling out their weapons to get ready for what is about to come.
To my surprise the only ones that do show their faces is the dark twins. As they make their way through the opening in the wall that their explosion has caused we stand our ground protecting what is ours. Kristoff and I intertwine our fingers together as Jasmine and Tammy does the same. Tammy and Jasmine places a protective barrier around us as Kristoff and I put to use what we have practiced during our training. As he produces a flame I then conger up a small wind storm at first, combining both of our powers together I then turned it into a flaming tornado and have it run a path right towards the two dark witches, seeing this Tammy takes some of her light magic and adding it to ours throws the whole thing at them causing them to burn inside of the core.
After it dies down, they are nowhere in sight, so I did the only thing that I knew to do. I walk slowly over to the spot where they were and summoned my powers to see if I could sense their present. Not sensing them, I then call Tammy over to see what she can come up with.
“They’re not here, it turns out that they used a protective barrier so that they wouldn’t burn to death inside of the flames.”
“That can be done?”
“Yes, ii will teach you guys the different protective barriers that can be used and when and for what type of magic. Right now, you need to inform everyone of what we just found out.”
“Yeah you’re right. Please gather everyone together and I will make the announcement, and have the girls come up with the children too, it should be safe for them now.” I told her as I made my way to Kristoff. “Kristoff they’re gone, and I don’t mean dead gone I mean they escaped our wrath. I will explain to you and everyone once they are gathered here.” He nods and takes my hand. Standing there waiting for everyone to gather in the room, Derrick, Caleb, Tammy, Axel, Tessa, and Royce comes up to us and standing on either side of us I look at each one of them glad that the only thig that they have are some scratches and bruising. I turn back to where our pack will be standing. Once everyone is accounted for I begin to speak.
Mean While
Out in the outskirts of the pack compound five figures regroup with one another to discuss their findings.
“WHAT HAPPENED IN THERE?” A she-wolf asked of a dark magician.
“The Alpha and Luna of the pack produced an inferno to try and burn us alive, we had to put up a protective barrier and teleport ourselves out of there before we turned into ash. They are more powerful then we imagined, so, we need to rethink our plans and attack when we are stronger. I did however noticed that the Alpha can’t use his powers without his amulet.” Says the male magician.
“WHERE WERE YOU THREE ANYWAY, WHY ACT LIKE A BUNCH OF PANSIES?” The female magician asked the three standing before her and her brother.
“I told you guys that we should have just retreated, it isn’t what you think.” The Beta of the enemy pack says.
“But I want revenge for how they treated me!” Says the female she-wolf.
“I know, but I don’t think we should. Let’s forget about it.”
“Plus Sofie, you brought it all upon yourself. If you just stayed away from whatever your friend was planning this would never have happened to you. But you should be thanking your lucky stars instead because you are now with your right mate.” The Alpha to the enemy pack says to the she-wolf.
“Vic, isn’t that a little harsh!” The Beta shouts at his Alpha.
“No! She has to have her priorities straight.”
“And to answer your other question, Sofia's is carrying our pup.” The Beta addresses the magicians again on the female’s magician question from earlier.
“Ok, then we can regroup and make plans for when the child is older, then we attack.” Says the male magician.
“I still think that the Alpha should be the target!”
“I will have to agree, let’s get back res up and then gather together in the morning to advise a better plan of action. The male magician says to the three wolves before heading back towards their compound for further planning.
