Chapter 151

Chapter 151
ASHER

When those words left her mouth, I looked to my left, and he was asleep on the couch. She went over and picked him up. I could see she was shaking, and I knew she was scared. I kept looking at the laptop, my hands tightening on the edge of the desk. The man stood looking at her.

SOPHIA: DIDN’T YOU HEAR ME?
MAN: Ms. Bloomfield, you kidnapped a child, and now you’re asking me to kill an innocent child. I cannot do that.
SOPHIA: Fine, I’ll do it myself.

I watched her walk into the kitchen. She was there for a few minutes. When she returned, she had a knife in her hand. She walked past the man and started up the stairs. Her security was still standing there. I switched cameras and saw when she walked into the room. She started smiling when she saw the replica of Adriel in the bed. She walked over to the bed and began stabbing the doll. I guess after the first stab, she realized something was off. When she pulled the doll and saw it was fake, she began backing up.

SOPHIA: SHIT! THAT FUCKING OLD HAG TRICKED ME! She started backing up.
BRYSON: And where do you think you’re going?

She lunged at him with the knife, and he shot her in the arm, making her drop the knife. She started screaming.

BRYSON: Ms. Bloomfield, you are under arrest for kidnapping, attempted kidnapping, attempted murder on two counts, and use of a deadly weapon on a police officer. He began walking and screaming Sophia down the stairs. I switched screens and saw the officers had her security detail on the ground in handcuffs. I looked at her. “They have them,” I said, and I saw the breath of relief she let out. I stood up, opened the door, and walked out. When Sophia saw me, she began screaming louder.

SOPHIA: YOU AND YOUR FUCKING BITCH WILL PAY FOR THIS!
ASHER: No, we won’t. You will.

I pulled my phone out and texted Lana. She replied, “Okay.” I saw Samuel walk in and look at me, and I nodded. I didn’t want Sophia to go to jail. She wanted to kill my son. She and Celeste will meet their end. I felt her beside me. I turned and looked at her. She had a look of relief on her face. I wrapped my arm around her.

“He’s safe, love. She and Celeste will be joining Kira,” I said, waiting to see if she would say anything, but she didn’t. Detective Bryson walked in. “We’re heading to the station. I sent some officers to pick up Celeste Sterling. I’ll need you to come down to the station and get Hilda. The faster we get it all settled, the earlier we can put it out there and let the public know what they did.”

“Okay, we’ll be there,” I said.

Skylar

Freya and everyone came back home. They would keep Adriel for us while we went to the station. I knew my son would be safe with them. I could always trust that they would keep him safe. When Asher and I walked into the police station, Celeste was sitting there in handcuffs, and she looked terrified. Sophia was still screaming, yelling about a lawyer and parents. I looked at them.

“I warned you, Celeste. You joined this crazy woman who tried to kill my child,” I said, looking at her.
“No, she did that on her own. I had nothing to do with that,” she said.

“Really? So what is this?” Detective Bryson asked, turning the laptop towards her, and the video of her and Sophia in the private room of the club was playing. I could see the shock on her face. I looked at Sophia.

“The minute you began planning, we knew. Hilda came straight to me and told me. We let you think you were in control. Good luck getting out of this,” I said, looking at them. By sunrise, the entire Havenwood knew what had happened. Before we left, I saw Celeste’s father walk in. When he saw us, he nodded. When he saw Celeste, he stopped. “Why?” he asked her. She started crying.

He raised his hands, stopping her. “You’ve really crossed the line, Celeste. After everything we went through with Emelda, Father, Dorian, and you still didn’t see. I won’t be helping you. I am done. This is what happens. You’ll face the consequences of your actions, Celeste,” he said, turning around. He stopped in front of us.

“Mr. and Mrs. Rhys, I am extremely sorry for this. I hope your son is fine and unhurt. You can take whatever measures you wish to. You won’t find any objections on my part,” he said and then walked out of the station. We saw the car pull up, and a woman and man stepped out, hurrying into the station.

“Mr. and Mrs. Bloomfield,” Asher said.

“YOU INSOLENT GIRL! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE?” the woman yelled.
“Please, no yelling,” Bryson said.

“I’m assuming you are Ms. Bloomfield’s parents. This is what your daughter has done,” Bryson said as he turned the laptop and hit play.

We watched them as they watched and listened with a look of horror on their faces as the realization of what she had done hit them. Her mother looked at her and walked over to her, slapping her. Her father looked at her. “Bridget, let’s go. As of this moment, Sophia Bloomfield is no longer a part of our family,” he said, walking out, and his wife followed suit.

I looked at her, and I could see the shock on her face. She didn’t think they would abandon her. She tried standing up and running after them, but the officers handcuffed her to the chair. When we left the police station at nine that morning, social media was on fire, and reporters were outside the station. Leon and Ron kept them away so we could get back to the car. On the drive home, Asher was quiet. “What are you planning?” I asked quietly.

He laughed and squeezed my hand. “Going to have Samuel add two more rooms. One for Sophia and one for Celeste,” he said. I could hear the anger in his tone and knew he was still angry at what Sophia said. “Don’t kill them. Let them wallow in despair and reflect on what they did wrong,” I said, squeezing his hand, and he nodded.

When we got home, everyone was in the kitchen. Hilda was cooking, and Adriel was in his high chair, and Miles was feeding him pudding. When he saw me, he began laughing. We sat around during the day and just relaxed. I didn’t have to worry about Sophia and Celeste at the moment. I knew exactly what to do with them.
