Lucus was paranoid after hearing about Dante’s escape.
He was always around me, and it was worse than ever.
I was not even allowed to wash myself alone. He needed to not only see me but also to touch me as well.
And when he was extremely busy to be with me, his high beta took his place. He didn't come into our room but guarded the door personally. And...Wait...did I say our room?
I fumed silently. It seems like I am going nuts.

And today early in the morning he took me into his office and soon he called for his Omicron (head of the palace guards).
"Report me the states of the search!"
"My King Omicron's report to you. The current state is, we've completely searched everywhere except the Arogons' territory. And the Arogons have denied our access and till now we've got no trace of Dante. And we wait for your further instructions. That's the end of the report Your Highness."
Lucus practically growled when the report ended.
"Inform the Arogon Council that we demand a search through their territory and see to it. That's for now. Leave!"
His eyes flashed red, and I felt his wolf on the surface.

And with that he went away. To say Lucus was restless is an understatement.
For the first time in these few weeks he and his high beta, left me, with his High Gamma guarding the door.

I was listening to some music and relaxing when I felt something.
Something is not right...

A huge sword with a red ruby adorned his attire and I was mesmerized by his majestic look.
I was in a trance, and he removed his head cover revealing his handsome rugged face. Then he extended his strong hands to me.
Without a thought I jumped into them. I was so glad that he was fine and safe..
Although I have completed the mating bond, I felt the need to protect Dante. He was my love. My own protector. And my savior..
A sudden rage ripped through my mind.

The air in the room grew colder and sinister.
I was shocked with his behavior. He was not like this before.

Lucus roared and the others flinched with his command.
