I was anxious. And really afraid. Tonight, we will escape. I was thinking so hard that I didn't notice Lucus standing in the doorway.
"Thinking about someone?"
I was speechless and stilled for a moment. But I quickly composed myself and answered.
"Uh…yes, my King. I was thinking about you.”
"Hmm...good. I will believe you for now."
And with that he went into the washroom. Hmm...Time for some wine.
I asked the guards outside our chambers to bring some wine with cheese and fruits.
Then I arranged it on our balcony and dressed myself in a red corset gown. Lucus was having his time in the bath, and I understood that he must have felt something when I kissed Dante.
It gave me some time to apply a light coat of foundation, some blush and dark red lipstick.
As I already had a bath it was easy to dress quickly.
My maids were already gone per my order, and we were alone.
Lucus came from the bathroom after some time, and I was sitting on the balcony waiting for him.
He looked at me and stared at me intensely.
"Lucus. Why can't we start all over again?
I know that you love me and care for me.
So why don't we try to be a normal couple.
I arranged this for you. I want to get to know you despite our differences.”
Although I felt bad for deceiving him it was necessary for my freedom. So, I walked towards him and placed my hands on his chest. He crooked his head to side and watched me. Then I travelled my hand down his chest to his towel and untied it.
"Let me take care of you tonight. I will dress you and feed you.
I will give anything you want and I will do anything you want My King."
Lucus was silent the whole time and watched me like a hawk.
I was still anxious that he suspect me. I went into our closet and chose some black trousers and a white shirt with some boxers. Then I dressed him.
I took him by the hand and went to the balcony. When he sat down, I sat on his lap and offered him some wine. Which was mixed with the sleeping potion.
Then I fed him some cheese and fruits.
The potion was a slow effective one, so it took some time. But eventually Lucus was becoming sleepy.
"Amelia...uh, why am I feeling so sleepy?”
"Don't worry, my mate. It's nothing. You are feeling the effects of the wine, Lucus.”
"Amelia...why...wh-wh? I w-will n-never f-forgive you!”
Finally, the potion was working and Lucus was sleeping like a baby.
It was so hard to drag him to the bed and I nearly broke my arms by doing so.
But I did it and soon Lucus was on bed sleeping.
I looked at the grandpa clock and saw it was near midnight.
I took out my already packed bag and filled it with some food and other last-minute necessities. Then I cracked open the chamber doors to check the guards, who were not there.
But only Dante was there.
He took me by my hand and pulled me along the hallway.
Then he stopped in front of a large statue of a former king and pushed a button behind the statue. With a plopping sound the statue moved aside revealing a small, dark tunnel.
It was enough only for two persons, and we went through it.
The musky scent and wet feeling it gave was horrible.
I clutched into Dante’s hand and soon he guided us out of the tunnel.
We were faced with the thick, dark forest and Dante changed into his wolf form and carried me into the main road where a black SUV was parked.
We climbed into the vehicle and Dante started the engine and drove away.
Only when we were out of the territory I exhaled.
"Dante. That was amazing...We are free now! "
I was so happy and relaxed.
"Yes, my love. We are. But we must be careful now...I am sure the King will use his full force to find us.
I know a witch who can help us. We should head there to get some cloaking potions. Hopefully It will hide our scent.”
I nodded my head. He was right. We have to be careful.
And I am pretty sure that Lucus will be furious when he wakes up.
The night was catching on to me and I was sleepy. So, I rested my head on Dante's shoulder.
"Rest now my love. I will wake you when we reach there.”
Dante kissed my head and adjusted me comfortably on his shoulder.
I closed my eyes with a soft sigh and wrapped my hands around him.
Finally, I am free!

Lucus’ POV.
"Where IS SHE???"
"You stupid mongrels!
WHERE IS MY MATE???"
I was fuming and my high beta cowered along with my karys.
"Where the FUCK WERE YOU ADONIS??"
"YOU FOOLS!! You LET HER ESCAPED!!!"
"Uh...my King...We will find our Queen...Please clam down...Give us more time.”
"Time? TIME??? you STUPID FUCKS!! Fucking BASTARDS!!! I will give YOU TIME! TIME TO HEAL YOURSELF, YOU SICK BASTARD.” I punched him repeatedly. My high beta was bleeding, and I was slowly losing my mind. "You FOOL! Find out who helped her. I WANT HIS HEAD! I WANT HIS FUCKING HEAD!!!"
