Chapter 451
Chapter 451
Simon cleared his throat, "Wait a minute."
Chris stopped, "What's wrong?"
Simon asked, "Everyone's in the meeting, why aren't you online?"
Chris turned around, with a hint of that familiar, unbearable whiny tone that Simon knew so well, "Sienna's not here, I miss her."
Simon couldn't help but curse, "You're talking nonsense."
Chris changed his excuse, "I have a headache."
Simon knew he was trying to slack off again, and pointed at the small stool, "Take the stool and get over here."
Chris pointed at the computer, "I'm a leader after all, give me some dignity."
"I think I've given you too much freedom," Simon said with a hint of disdain, "Hurry up."
Chris blinked and asked while holding his little stool, "Can I sit on the sofa?"
Simon glanced at the marks on his pants from rolling around in the garden and said firmly, "No."
So the executives in the video watched as their intimidating leader obediently carried a small stool and sat pitifully next to the big boss.
After the meeting ended, someone finally asked, "Why does Mr. Taylor have a small stool in his study?"
Someone echoed, "It completely doesn't match Mr. Taylor's style."
Someone leaned in, recalling, "I was lucky enough to visit Mr. Taylor's estate once. His study seems to have more than one small stool."
Everyone asked, "How many then?"
The person held up two fingers, "Conservatively, at least two, maybe more. I'm not sure."
There were indeed more than two small stools in the estate. The living room, Simon's room, the game room—basically everywhere had two small stools. The purpose was to make it convenient for Sienna and Chris to find Simon to settle disputes after they got into trouble.
When settling disputes, they inevitably had to argue, and most of the time they could argue until their faces turned red.
Later, Chris didn't control his strength well, and Sienna's acting was a bit too realistic, which made Chris feel guilty for a long time. To keep his complaining mouth shut, he prepared some snacks for himself in every room, afraid he'd get too worked up arguing again.
He missed Sienna and didn't want the estate to feel cold and empty.
When Simon closed his computer, Chris suddenly said, "Mr. Taylor, let's marry Sienna off."
"Have a little Sienna to play with me."
Chris's eyes lit up, "How lively that would be."
A few days later, Chris seemed to have forgotten what he said, and the house was once again filled with the smell of lamb.
But Simon kept those words in mind.
After sending Chris away, Isadora and Kelvin's parents came to have tea and enjoy the flowers with Simon. After chatting, appreciating poetry and literature, they finally rescued Simon from the smell of lamb.
At the height of their enjoyment, Isadora said, "Simon, Sienna's not young anymore. Now is the right time. Should we marry her off?"
Unexpectedly, Isadora was the first to bring this up. Emma's eyes welled up, "We were afraid of pressuring the kids, so we never dared mention it. To be honest, we've been hoping Sienna would marry into our family. Everything can stay the same, they can live however they want, but we can't let Sienna be wronged. We should at least give her a wedding and let her marry happily."
After speaking, everyone looked at Simon, "What do you think?"
Simon put down his cup, "All these years I've been looking for Sienna's biological father, not to find him, but mainly to know Sienna's exact birth date."
Isadora's expression changed, full of heartache, "When I first met her, she was so thin and small. I asked her about her birthday later, but she always said she didn't know. During those years she was with me, I celebrated her birthday on the day I met her, but thinking about it now, that wasn't really a good day."
"August 15th," Simon poured coffee for everyone, "She was born on August 15th."
Isadora's expression darkened, "Did you find her biological father?"
Simon nodded.
Isadora frowned, while Emma and Steven said nothing, just looked at her with concern.
After a long while, Isadora finally said, "Sienna won't acknowledge him, but he is her biological father after all. If he's not a good person, it will affect Sienna's life. It wasn't easy for her to get to where she is today. No one can make her go back to the past."
A slight smile crossed Simon's lips.
Steven nudged Emma, telling her to look at Simon.
Isadora continued, "I can pay to support him, guarantee his daily life, but he can never appear before Sienna, must stay far away from her. His only purpose for appearing is to let us know her actual birth date, so from now on, she can at least live with clarity."
"He's dead," Simon said with a smile, "Excessive drinking, died in a shootout that year."
Isadora stared at him blankly.
Simon continued, "The night after he sold Sienna to the previous Q."
Isadora completely relaxed and couldn't help but slap Simon, "You scared me!"
Simon explained, "I didn't get a chance to say it yet—you got anxious first. But I had the same thought as you at the time. Sienna is blessed to have a mother like you."
Isadora huffed and smiled, "If she knew how many wedding gifts her mother has saved up for her these past two years, she'd feel even more blessed."
Steven laughed heartily, "Don't even mention it, Emma has also been busy saving up wedding gifts these past two years."
Emma smiled shyly, then asked Simon, "So you mean you agree to hold the wedding?"
Simon nodded with a smile, "I've already had someone start preparing. The wedding will be on her birthday."
"Won't the timing be a bit tight?" Steven asked, "It doesn't have to be a huge affair, but we need to let Sienna marry happily, without any grievances."
"It won't be," Simon looked confident, "I started preparing two years ago. Three months is enough time for you all to work with, right?"
Isadora and the others were stunned for a while. Emma asked, "We've said all this, but what do the two main characters think? What if they don't want to get married yet? We can't force them, right?"
Simon said, "Kelvin has been involved in all the arrangements. Kelvin will ask for Sienna's opinion. If she's unwilling, it won't be a problem."
Isadora nodded with satisfaction, "It's not that we must force them to do this. It's mainly that as parents, we're also worried that as Sienna gets older, if they want to have a child, Sienna's body might not handle it well as a woman."
