Chapter 54 Inseparable
Daisy trembled as she listened to Quinn's words. She held the child tightly in her arms, her usual submissive expression was now replaced with caution.
Quinn leaned forward slightly, a hint of satisfaction in her eyes. "Since you want to be Justin's woman, there are things you must understand," she said assertively. "Decide for yourself: will this child be mine now or in the future?"
Daisy was taken aback, clutching the child closely. She raised her guard up against Quinn Murphy. Daisy remained silent, then walked out of the cafe, her mind filled with Quinn's imposing figure.
The weather outside was pleasant. But Daisy couldn't shake off the image of Quinn from her mind. Beautiful, intelligent, and wealthy, Quinn possessed an unassailable aura that Daisy could never match. But she had never sought to compete with Quinn; all she wanted was a stable life.
Daisy decided to reach out to Justin on Instagram.
“Justin, you're amazing”, Daisy messaged him.
Daisy and Justin formally separated when their child was eight months old.
They parted ways amicably. Justin gave Daisy the two apartments on the same floor, and she didn't refuse. Given her current situation, Daisy couldn't return home and reveal the truth to Ms. Turner. Hence, she had no choice but to stay in New York, take care of her child, find a job, and support herself.
Time flew by quickly over the course of two years. Daisy and Justin never completely cut off contact; he was still a part of their child's life. They resembled a divorced couple who were granted shared custody, taking turns to take care of their child, but their interaction was limited to their role as parents.
Daisy's attitude toward Justin remained consistently cold, bordering on indifference. However, as the Lunar New Year was approaching, Daisy could not find an excuse to avoid returning home with Justin.
With no other options, she reluctantly messaged Justin on Instagram.
Justin readily agreed, appearing at Daisy's doorstep early the next morning. He had a new car, a Porsche SUV, convenient for the baby stroller and car seat.
Daisy saw him from the balcony as she finished cleaning. She only opened the door reluctantly when she was done cleaning the house. She saw Justin standing outside the door. Apparently, Justin had been waiting for her during this whole time and did not ring the doorbell.
Daisy couldn't help but feel a little guilty as she met Justin's intense gaze. Her heart couldn't help but race. Justin, as always, showed no signs of aging, smiled casually.
Ryan, however, was ecstatic when he saw his father's arrival. He ran towards Justin and embraced his thigh tightly.
Justin's thigh.
Justin bent down and effortlessly lifted Ryan, pressing their faces together. He said, "Call me!"
Ryan, still in the stage of babbling, stuttered and somewhat unclearly exclaimed, "Daddy..."
Justin kissed the soft face of the little one and then turned his gaze to Daisy.
Daisy had been standing in the same spot, and their eyes met deep in Justin's dark gaze. She instinctively looked away and tried to find a topic, saying, "Help me carry some things!"
"Alright!" Justin responded, setting Ryan down and picking up a box to bring downstairs.
The whole family drove to the airport, and Justin parked the car in the airport garage before they boarded a flight to Kansas.
They then rented a BMW X6 and headed to Daisy's hometown.
As it was the Lunar New Year, Ms. Turner and Daisy's grandmother had returned to the small town, and naturally, Daisy's family went back with them.
It had been two years since they last visited, and it was the first time Ms. Turner and the grandmother had seen Ryan. They showered the child with affection while holding him.
Daisy reluctantly went to her own bedroom with Justin.
As expected, there was only one bed.
Daisy felt somewhat uncomfortable.
Justin, on the other hand, did not show any discomfort. He sat naturally on the bed, looking at the bedroom that hadn't changed much and smiled, saying, "It's still the same!"
Daisy took off her backpack and replied, "Since Mom and Grandma don't often stay here, it’s only natural this place didn’t change much."
After Daisy finished speaking, she realized that Justin's gaze had been on her the whole time. It wasn't a predatory gaze, but a gentle gaze like water, which made Daisy extremely uncomfortable.
"Can you...stop looking at me like that?" Daisy avoided his gaze and softly requested.
Justin smiled and replied, "Am I not even allowed to look at you now?"
Daisy remained silent.
That night, Ms. Turner insisted that Ryan should sleep with her. Daisy was afraid that Ryan would feel strange and have trouble falling asleep, so she wanted to bring him to her room.
Fortunately, Ryan’s grandmother had her ways of comforting children, and Ryan adapted well. He got along with Ms. Turner just fine, so Daisy reluctantly went back to her own bedroom.
At this moment, Justin was already lying on the bed playing with his phone. When he saw Daisy come in, he immediately moved over to make space for Daisy.
Daisy looked at him, feeling extremely awkward. She sat in the chair for a long time without getting on the bed.
Justin couldn't help but say, "I won't touch you."
"If I bully you, your mom and grandma will know."
After hearing these words, Daisy finally felt at ease and got on the bed.
The bed was one meter eight wide, and both of them slept far apart from each other.
Daisy lay on the edge of the bed, her nerves tensed, afraid to turn around.
As time passed, and she was about to fall asleep, there was suddenly some movement behind her - a warm body enveloped her.
The warm breath brushed against her sensitive earlobe, causing her body to tremble involuntarily.
"Justin!" Daisy immediately resisted with force.
A familiar mesmerizing voice came from behind her, hoarse, and said,
"My baby, let me hold you!" Daisy's body stiffened, and she dared not move.
She could feel the trembling of the strong man behind her.

Although Ryan couldn't speak complete sentences yet, he was able to say a few words intermittently.
During the Lunar New Year, it is a tradition for friends and relatives would come to pay their respects. Usually, they would ask Daisy about Justin, and teased Ryan in the process.
This made Daisy very afraid that Ryan would slip up and reveal that she and Justin are not living together, a secret which she had been keeping away from her relatives and friends.
On the third day, Daisy used work as an excuse, and hurriedly returned to New York. Daisy bade farewell to Grandma Ms. Turner,
By the time they landed, the sky had darkened.
Justin drove Daisy and Ryan back home, with Ryan sitting in his child seat, quickly falling asleep.
Throughout the journey, the two of them didn't exchange many words.
When they arrived home, Daisy stood up to hold Ryan, but her wrist was restrained by Justin.
Daisy was shocked and turned around, staring at Justin with wide eyes.
Justin directly pulled Daisy out of the car, leaning her against the nearby car door, completely overwhelming her. Without waiting for Daisy's reaction, he kissed her.
The long-awaited kiss was passionate and wild.
With brute force, he pried open Daisy's teeth, invaded her mouth, and seized her breath.
His agile tongue firmly entwined with Daisy's, indulging in the kiss.
Daisy's fair skin turned crimson due to the excitement, and her body went limp against the car. She could only barely stand by relying on Justin's arm.
Even after they separated, their lips were still intertwined, and Justin's thin lips continued to caress and kiss Daisy's soft lips, lingering and reluctant to part.
"My baby, wait for me a little longer!" Justin's voice was already hoarse, his deep gaze full of affection as he looked at Daisy, gently stroking her disheveled hair with a careful and tender touch.
Daisy looked at him, biting her cherry red lips that he had kissed, and struggled to adjust her breathing rhythm before pushing Justin away and picking up Ryan.
By now, Justin had also calmed down. He walked to the trunk to get their luggage and they went upstairs together.
When they reached the door, Justin tried to enter, but Daisy stopped him outside the door.
She looked at Justin, her eyes slightly red. "Justin, I will live a good life."
Justin was taken aback, standing up straight and waiting silently for Daisy to finish speaking.
Daisy held Ryan in her arms, hesitated for a while, then lowered her head and sobbed softly, "Your wife said she will never agree to a divorce in this lifetime.”
"I also said that I will never be a mistress."
"And then?" Justin frowned slightly, squinting his eyes and waiting for Daisy to continue.
Daisy raised her gaze to meet his, her slightly red eyes unusually determined. "When parents love their child, they will plan for his future. I won't let Ryan suffer for being an illegitimate child."
"I am going on blind dates, I will find someone who will treat Ryan well."
