Chapter 80: I Could Just Die
Chapter 80: I Could Just Die
Ebony Winters POV:
I could just die. Honestly, I could just die right here, right now. How is one person supposed to move on from something like this? This is not at all what I would've thought would've happened whenever I first came to this place. The voice inside my head, the one that told me to turn between the next set of buildings before I jumped in that pristine pool.
None of it, and yet here I am. Every single hole I had had been filled up to some extent. My body parts had been touched by hands that didn't care how they made me feel.
I heard moans and groans coming from the men all around me. Finally, Clay moaned a bit as he loosened his grip on the sides of my face and pulled back, removing his appendage from my mouth, which caused me to gag and openly gasp for air. I felt like I was going to be sick. My throat felt like it was covered in a layer of snot and not the good kind.
Before, I had thought those threats from Denton and his supposed followers were bad. Nothing of that nature compared to what I was having to deal with at this point.
Then I could clearly hear Dylan groan when he pushed me higher as he maneuvered himself beneath me and pulled his appendage out of my ass. I was so sore at this point that all I could do was cry out in pain.
I had my eyes closed at this point. I didn't care to look around. The older man released his grip as he pulled the small table that slid underneath me back and out of the way so that Dylan could get down. However, the slender man was still positioned between my legs when he removed his mouth and pulled the object out from inside of me.
"Did you get enough?" The older man asked him as he walked around to stand beside the slender man.
"I do believe I did," the slender man said as he turned around and walked out of the room.
Were they just going to leave me here? I couldn't help but ask within my own thoughts.
'Nic, where are you?' (I said within my mind as I was seriously out of breath.)
I couldn't help but feel pain in the center of my chest, a coolness, if you will, as I didn't get a reply.
"Clay. Dylan," I heard the slender man call from the other room in the darkness. "Go ahead and get her down. You can leave her there on the floor. I'm sure she will be of any trouble now."
"We can do that," Clay said as Dylan walked up underneath me and cradled me in his arms against his bare chest as Clay walked over and unfastened the chain that held me suspended in air.
I practically collapsed right there in his arms. That's the last thing I wanted to do, but I didn't have a choice in the matter.
"Do you really want me to just leave her here on the floor?" Dylan turned to the side and called back to the opposite room.
"Precisely," the slender man called from the other room.
"If you say so, you're the boss," Dylan said as he leaned forward and laid my bare side touching the cool dry dirt beneath me.
That cooling sensation in the center of my chest seemed to spread all over my entire being. That's when both Clay and Dylan walked out of the room in the same direction as the older man who had followed the slender man out of sight.
It took everything I had just to roll onto my stomach. I wanted so much to get out of there. I wanted so much to leave, but I had no idea in which direction I should go.
I heard the four of them talking in the other room as they just left me lying there in the dirt. At least it was in a mud puddle, I thought to myself. I couldn't help but chuckle with the irony that I found myself yet again in the dirt. Only this time, Nic didn't show up and surround me with the wall of man and then cover me so that no one else could see me.
It was completely pitch black in here. I couldn't see anything, but I could certainly hear.
I wanted so much more for just one of them to throw me over their shoulder and haul me back out into the sunlight. Was that so much to ask? To be honest, I felt as if the air had been knocked out of me as I lay there collapsed on the floor. I wanted nothing more than to get up and run away, but I could still feel pain in the tops of my feet from where they dragged me along the path.
'Nic, why haven't you come to me?' I couldn't help but ask within my mind, somehow hoping that he would hear me.
I pretty much figured that I would have to rely on myself. This was the first time that I had been picked on. The last time I got up and ran only to be captured. How did they know where to go in this place? These dark caverns. Which direction should I go if I did have the opportunity to run?
There's one thing that I wanted to know more than anything else at that moment. When will they learn? What was the purpose of placing that one slender object deep inside me? I mean, what were they hoping to obtain in their actions?
The last man that took me and tried to take advantage of me... one of them, didn't even survive. The other one was... I didn't care to think about it at that moment. The only thing I wanted was for me to get away.
I so badly wanted to shower. I wanted to be able to wash myself, but then... Would I be able to wash off the feeling?
As I thought about it more, I remembered how Nic was able to take away some feelings that I held deep in my mind. I know we were bonded, or at least that's how he classified it, but what did that truly mean? This was all too real in my mind.
If there's one thing that I wanted to hear the most, it would have been to hear a bone-chilling howl that would rattle the very walls of this place as the sound filled the air. That would be it. That would be precisely what I would want to hear.
Suddenly, from the other room, the talking ceased. All of it. I didn't hear a single thing. It's like they just vanished completely.
What happened? Where did they go? I closed my eyes as I slowly drifted into my thoughts. And that's when it happened. There in the distance, I did think I heard something, but it's not possible. There's no way I heard what I thought I did. No one knows where I am.
