Chapter 74: Talk About Slow Torture

Chapter 74: Talk About Slow Torture
Ebony Winters POV:

"Now hold still, girl," the slender man spoke up this time, his head rather close to the side of my ear. "I am going to cut this in the opposite direction next. I would... hate to have to nick some of your curves that could be... well, used as an asset later on in your near future."

What?! What was that supposed to mean? I could feel when he reached out, pulling the material away from my waist, and I could tell he placed the blade along the inside edge of my dress and started dragging it down, cutting through the delicate fabric. It was a lot quicker than when he had to cut through the strands that held this dress in place, which covered my back.

'Oh, Nic, where are you when I need you? Why won't you answer me? What has happened that you won't answer me?!' I tried to say within my own head.

He continued cutting all the way down the back of my dress until he reached the lower hem. With one swift jerk, I knew he cut all the way through the material on the back of my dress. So much for thinking I would make it out of this unscathed. By this point, my arms were starting to go numb, and I started to moan in pain.

"Two more cuts, then you can move her to the other position," I heard him say just as he grabbed the back of the straps that hung over my shoulders.

With the feel of two quick jerks, hearing the slicing of the knife cutting through the material that once covered my shoulders, I was now hanging there in nothing other than the white undergarments Nic helped get me suited with earlier that morning. Even my stomach was grumbling at the fact that I would have usually eaten something at this point.

"Good, now you can move her," I heard him say as he walked around to stand in front of me.

I looked at Dylan and Clay as both of them walked up to stand on either side of me. They were both holding something in either of their hands. Wait, what are they going to do now? Suddenly, without them saying a word, both of them knelt down as they placed yet another cool leather strap around the upper part of my lower leg, right below my knee. What is going on here?

I couldn't think clearly. I closed my eyes briefly just as they stood back up, and they raised my legs when they did so, causing me to force my eyes open at the sudden movement of nearly being placed in a seated position, but my legs were out in front of me.

This was the first time I got to see what the tops of my lower legs looked like. Tears filled my eyes at how raw my skin looked. I swallowed hard, despite the fact that it was hard to breathe in here.

"Alright, girl, this next part you're not going to like, but you wouldn't be here unless it were part of a necessary process," the slender man said as I furrowed my eyebrows when he walked up to stand in front of my bent legs that Clay and Dylan were holding up in a seated position. "Lower the chains."

My eyes immediately rose into the darkness, and I saw two chains starting to descend from the sheer black ceiling. Even though the light in this room was dim, I could not see the ceiling. I had no idea who or what... was controlling the chains. I dared not look around to see any of those other creatures that were still randomly hissing around the room, either.

When the level of the chain was low enough, I watched helplessly as Clay and Dylan attached a part of the harness around either of my legs to the end of the chain that seemed to hang from midair. I turned my gaze to the slender man as he was still standing there, just a short distance from my knees, not breaking his concentration on me as my arms were still holding me up in the air.

I can't believe I thought lying on that rough, wooden table could be worse than this, right now. I would give anything to be back on that table. At least I wouldn't be hovering in the air like this.

"Now, separate all the chains," the slender man said without even changing his gaze as he continued to stare intently at me.

Without hearing a rattle in the chains, they all started to separate. Even the binding I found on my wrists started to separate. The only good thing was that I could move my head more freely, but that wasn't my worst fear now.

"You might as well relax, girl," the slender man spoke up as he walked even closer between my legs now. "You're not going to go anywhere."

I was shivering all over now. There was no way that I could hide it at this point. Before, with my arms together, I could try to tense my body to the point that it would prevent them from seeing me shake, but now... There was no way I could hide the shaking at how they had all my limbs practically separated in such different directions.

My eyes were solely glued to the one, slender man whose hands were down at his sides, standing there between my knees. The only thing keeping him from seeing what I had to offer was the material of the thin bottoms I was wearing.

"Clay, Dylan," the slender man called out as they both walked to stand on either side of my knees. "Hold her firmly. I don't want her to flinch too much. I expect the chains to hold her in place, but that doesn't mean she will hold still once I get onto the next task."

I started to whimper at what this one man was referring to. "Gargan, why don't you come and hold her around her waist?"

Who was that? I wondered... Suddenly, I knew exactly who this slender man was referring to. It was the one older man. I knew it was him when I heard his raspy voice speak up, saying, "Gladly."

I shuddered when I heard the older man breathing down on my neck, as I could no longer hold my head up in place and allowed it to fall back. However, when I relaxed my head, I nearly dropped it back on his shoulder.

"Don't worry, child," the slender man spoke up right then, when I sat my head up in a quick hurry. "He'll gladly hold your head up in place."

No sooner than he spoke, I could feel the hand of the older man start to separate the upper garment from the one that was tied around my waist. I wiggled my hips back and forth trying to get his hands off my but that did no good.

"Keep squirming," the older man whispered into the side of my ear. "I'm getting harder with each passing moment."
