Chapter 66: The Attack Was Staged!

Chapter 66: The Attack Was Staged!
Dominic's Storm's POV:

"Fine, I will tell them," the first rogue said, sounding defeated when he looked down in front of him, as he was only bound there by his arms, as my Warriors held him there on his knees. However, when he lifted his head next to look back at Beta Orion, he appeared as if he had a scheming look on his face before he spoke, saying, "Only... I will tell you when you release his arm."

Drake was not going to tolerate this. He snarled, pulling his upper lip back, revealing even more of the white nature of his teeth, as you could hear a harsh growl being emitted from deep within his chest. He did all of this without releasing the grip of holding the second rogue's arm in his tense jaws.

"Don't be a fool!" The second rogue cried out, pain still evident in his voice as he was feeling the full effects of the pressure cutting the blood circulation off to the rest of his arm.

"Go ahead," Beta Orion started to taunt the first rogue. "Keep delaying the information that we need to know. And your pack mate here won't have the use of the rest of his arm. He will be an outcast among rogues if you keep this up."

"Tell them," the second rogue called out again. "If you don't, then I will! I can't stand much more of this. I can't feel my hand. Either you tell them or I will!"

"You don't know the information to tell," the first rogue spouted off as if he showed no remorse for the fact that his delay was causing the other rogue to be writhing in pain much longer than necessary.

"Fine, I'll tell you," the second rogue called out this time. "Since the arrogance of him won't tell you."

"Go ahead then, you don't know everything," the first rogue continued as they went back and forth bickering like freshly new whelp pups vowing for milk.

"Well, what is the news then?" Beta Orion questioned as he placed his hands on top of his hips, waiting for the word that we have been waiting for this entire time, since before our arrival.

"A distraction...," the second rogue said, his breath huffing with defeat now.

"A distraction?" Beta Orion dropped his hands from his hips when he took a step closer to the second rogue. "What sort of distraction? What are you referring to? Stop delaying and tell us what we want to know now!"

"We,..." The second road said as he attempted to lift his head higher so that he could look at Beta Orion again. "We were meant,... To be,... A mere distraction."

At that, Drake finally released the grip of the second rogue's arm. When he did that, he started to cry out in pain as the blood was starting to rush back to his hand, which was now a dark shade in color. He dropped his head, trying to hide his pain, but it was very evident that he was feeling the full effects of the blood starting to rush back to his core.

"You'll be lucky if you don't gnaw off your own arm," Beta Orion scoffed at him this time as he crossed his arms in front of his chest. "The amount of time your arm was held could certainly cause the blood in the fingers to die."

"But I told you already," the second rogue complained as he looked back up at Beta Orion. "I told you what you wanted to know."

"You could've saved yourself a lot of pain if you had revealed the information instead of telling somebody else not to do it," Beta Orion said this time. "Oh, need I mention that after you were put in pain, you finally told the other to speak up when all along you had the ability to in your own suffering."

"You don't understand," the first rogue called out to Beta Orion this time. "If you release us, we are dead."

"Dead how? You are still among the land of the living," Beta Orion continued to question him.

That's when he looked back and forth between the first and second rogue, who hadn't chosen to speak at all this entire time. The rest of them didn't bother fighting, even though they were held in the grasp of my Warriors. Drake even took a few steps back so he could look back and forth among the two rogues as well.

"And who says we're going to release you?" Beta Orion questioned.

Suddenly, in the distance, you could hear the squeaking of metal. Drake didn't turn to look in the direction of where the sound was coming from, as we knew full well what was causing that particular sound of metal rubbing up against the creaking sound of wood.

Drake continued to look over all of the various rogues as they all looked off in the direction of the mysterious sound. In the distance, there was a set of horses that was pulling a wagon. But this wasn't your typical wagon. This particular wagon was trailing an iron cage.

"As you see," Beta Orion said whenever he turned and raised his hand towards the approaching wagon. "Your comment about being released was inaccurate. We have no intention of releasing you. You will serve your time as punishment in the dungeon of the Lycan King."

That won't do any good!" The second rogue called out.

"How do you figure?" Beta Orion questioned whatever he turned back to face, and lowered his arm back to his side.

"She has ways! She will get us no matter where we hide," said the first rogue this time.

"Give us a name!" Beta Orion said, yelling out in his commanding tone. "Give us a name and we may end your suffering here and now."

The first and second rogue looked to each other before they both dropped their heads in defeat. Just then, the first rogue spoke lightly, mumbling something as he looked down at one of the Warriors holding him, and shook his arms to get him to speak louder so that we could hear him.

"Ramona! All right, her name is Ramona! She was the one who put this whole charade together!" The first rogue finally yelled out as if he didn't want to cause any more delays.

Drake turned to look at Beta Orion, then he turned to look back at the rogues to confirm what was said. "You mean the Luna of The Rivers Pack?"

"Do you know of another werewolf by the name of Ramona?" The second rogue questioned, still huffing, trying to cover for the pain in his arm.

"Why? Do you know why?" Beta Orion demanded a response from either of them this time.

"A distraction," the first one said.

"I know that already! Tell me the reason why you were sent here as a distraction!" Beta Orion shouted this time. He was losing his patience with their constant delays.

"To separate him from the woman in his chambers," the second one said this time. "She wants to take his mate away like he did hers!"
