Chapter 32
Gray
Me and Victor had taken some of our time within the VIP section to catch up. He began with telling me how he took my advice on growing his 'business' by managing money instead of drugs. Though, I had no doubt in my mind that he was dealing in drugs even if it weren't just partially. The man came up pretty quickly, he's almost big enough to make it into the inner circle of big bosses. He was no longer a little boss these days, and I had to start viewing him as such even though he was still a pretty way off.
You see, when a boss himself is starting to come up like a big shot, we big bosses have to start showing a little respect even if it's not much. They no longer act as part of our laughingstock. But, the problem for Victor is, he is a lying, thieving and conniving boss. I mean, he is too smart for his own good.
And, if you were to leave the decision up to me, Victor is bad for the already bad reputation of the Mafia.
I could just have his head now and leave with Angel. But that wasn't my only reason for joining victor. The man was keeping harsh, valuable secrets from me. It's sad that he would lie straight to my face when I helped him all those years ago when he almost went out of business. He also owes me money, but he for come odd, very odd reason believes he doesn't need to pay it back.
"Hey, brother! listen to me, listen to me. I have some very good news, capiche."
Victors annoying voice rang over the louder than needed music. A long sigh escaped me as I adjusted on the cushion beneath me, my head slowly turning so my eyes would meet with his obese frame.
"What? Got the money you owe me yet?"
I inquired with a slightly raised brow and a serious chuckle, obviously Victor didn't hint at my serious ness. As all I got out of him was a boisterous laugh, that told me who believed I was all jokes.
"No, no, I have something much better!"
"Bring her in!"
He waved his hand at one of the men near a door, I didn't know where it led to, but I do know what I saw only upset more than Victor not having my money.
Angel entered the VIP section, adjusting her glasses and holding her head up high. The two woman who once occupied Victor's lap were quickly shooed away and now Angel took their spots. Her legs hanging over his thick thighs in a cross.
"Scar, my favorite buddy. You never told me you had such a beautiful sister. Y'know, I have kind of taken a liking to her. As soon as I saw her enter those doors in all that confidence, I knew I just had to have her."
I couldn't help but roll my eyes, another sigh escaping me. Quickly a smile drew over the line of my lips. I needed to keep my composure, and Angel just doesn't know it. But she is going to be the reason that every man in this room dies tonight.
"Victor, my good friend. My sister is already spoken for. And don't you have a wife?"
"None sense, I'm a boss. I can have more than one woman just like you can. And she is spoken for? no matter, he doesn't need to know of our shenanigans."
Victors hand that had been holding Angel's thighs began to wonder, even finding its way to her ass. Which Angel shoved away in awkward laughter, her eyes never meeting me once she joined us in the VIP section. I was so confused; how did she even get herself in this situation?
"Victor..."
I began slowly, allowing his name to roll off the surface of my tongue. I shifted in my seat, now my arms dangled over my inner thighs, a hand swiped at my nose as if there were something there to get rid of.
Then as I sat there in silence for a moment, as if to give him a chance to reconsider on his own, pulled my gun from my waist and placed it on the table in front of me, shoving the cards out of the way with it.
"You are my friend amigo, so I want to be generous to you. Just this one time. Get your fucking hands off of Searra, or I'll kill you."
"You? you kill me with no men to aid you Scar. remember, you came into my domain alone."
"Or, did you come into my domain alone, Victor?"
First there was shuffling, and then guns were drawn and aimed for the target. Victor was the target. All the men who had come with him, were my men you could say.
"Victor, you don't own a damn thing. Understand me?"
I began again, picking up his glass of Tequila and forcing it down in one gulp. I didn't even need to look back at him to know his face was stressing in fear. But I do know, that got him to let go of Angel fairly quickly.
Soon, Josh and Smiley found themselves in the VIP section with expressions of shock. Though, those expression quickly blew over with relief to see Angel in one piece.
"Get her back to the car, I'll be there in a moment."
Me, Victor, and the men who had their guns drawn were left in the VIP section after I gave that order. Slowly I rose to my feet, gun in hand and turned to Victor. Within an instant, the tip of my gun was being force under his jaw, tilting his head up as he began to beg for his life.
"You are lucky I don't kill you, buddy. I still need shit from you that I won't be getting tonight. And if you even think about going into hiding from me, I'll find you and kill you with my own hands. No gun, just my bare hands after getting all the info I need out of you."
I withdrew my pistol from under his jaw and made my exit. The men dropping their guns after I had left. Surely, Victor wouldn't be to upset now that he knows I control all of his men and where he gets his money. Not that he knows about the money.
Angel
I sat in the car now, my legs crossed one over the other and my arms folded under my chest. I was upset, if it weren't the obvious truth. I didn't understand why Gray had been so angry, all I did was play my sisterly role my way. So, what was the issue?
"Hermosa, you are in a lot of trouble, and I can't help you."
Josh let out as if I needed their input. I didn't need or want to know that that was unnecessary information. If that were to do anything, I felt Josh only said that to annoy or upset me.
"Leave it up to Gray, I am always in trouble."
Suddenly the door to the SUV opened, I looked to my right. It was Gray, they appeared to be fuming with anger deep within. Their face was not red, but they still grew with seeping anger.
"What the fuck Angel?"
They shot at me with their words. The Anger evident in their demanding voice. Then they were in the backseat with me, their door coming to a slamming shut.
Gray rubbed their temples between their fingers, an arm propped up against the door handle of the door they sat next too, their cheek pressed square onto their knuckles.
"You want to explain what it is you were doing Angel?"
"I was simply playing my sisterly role. So what if a few men thought they stood a chance with me."
I replied, the attitude I had previously, returning once Gray got in the car and started yelling at me. What right did they feel they had to speak to me in such a way. I wasn't bothered by much of anything that has aspired, so neither should they be.
"He's a fucking criminal Angel! He wouldn't have cared if you resisted, he certainly had his plans picked out for you."
"So what-"
In one swift movement, Gray had their hand wrapped around my neck. A knee pressed between my legs, into my crotch. I stiffened, unsure of what to do in that moment.
Then, I felt their breath against my ear.
"Get rid of your fucking attitude, or I'll get rid of it for you. Do you understand me Angel?"
Currently, there were a lot of thoughts running through my mind. Many of which I'm sure you could easily guess.
I was only shaken up for a moment by Gray's actions, but not long enough to consider getting rid of my attitude. They weren't my boss, so I didn't have to obey any orders they were giving me. Why would I?
I am my own person, my own woman.
"Fuck. Off. Gray."
I spat as Gray stared me down with their cold demanding eyes.
The tinted window that separated the front from the back, slowly began to rise. Smiley, and Josh no longer wanted to be bothered with our 'lovers quarrel' if that's what you'd call it.
