70- Family Reconciliation

POV- Eleonora Vitale.

I watch the path through the car window. Giacomo takes us towards the apartment where Viktor will stay. Since Daniel will impersonate him, it is necessary that only one of them be seen. They will even be able to switch places without anyone noticing, since they are very identical.

Finally we arrived at the building and entered it unceremoniously. No one could know about Daniel, so he disguised himself so that no one would see him.

Once in the apartment, we closed all the windows and covered the windows, so we didn't run the risk of being photographed and our plans going down the drain before we even put them into practice.

"Here's the thing, we have to get everything right before we go to the mansion. I don't want there to be mistakes." Daniel says. Viktor and I nodded.

"So let's get it right at once, it's got to be quick." Viktor comments, and Daniel adds:

"Yes. As I will impersonate you, we have to act naturally and that means that..." He looks at me and, when he realizes what he meant, my ex-husband gets up and promptly asks:

"Don't even think, it's my wife and no one touches her!" Daniel sighs and settles on the couch, saying:

"A complete mental rite." He growls and shakes his head. "It will only be in front of people, to keep up appearances. Or else they will be suspicious and start questioning us, to know what is happening."

"Do I have any way out?" Viktor asks, and Daniel shakes his head negatively, causing him to sigh in frustration.

"Viktor, remember that every time we fought it was because of your mistrust?" My voice fills the silence that had settled.

"It's not about being suspicious, Eleonora." He growls, while observing his shoes.

"It's about jealousy, isn't it, little brother?" Daniel speaks, in a mocking tone. Viktor grits his teeth and it seems that at any moment he will jump on top of his brother, but I interrupt him by saying:

"You don't have to worry, my focus is to put Antonella Sorrentino in her true place, so that she pays for her crime, nothing more than that." Reluctantly, Viktor nods and we continue to work out a few more small details.

\[...\]

Right now we are going to the mansion. I confess that I am a little tense and anxious to know what the result of what we are about to do will be.

Daniel kept his vision locked in front of him, while I, from time to time, look at my little princely piccola, who, as always, is sleeping peacefully. "I wanted this availability for the sleep she has."

Giacomo parks the car, I sigh at the thought that I am returning to this place. The front doors open and, as before, Antonella and Dona Suzana come out to welcome us.

"Viktor, my son. I missed it so much." Antonella comes to hug Daniel, who enters the character and returns the hug.

"Me too, Mom." He says as they walk away. "Grandma..." He greets Mrs. Suzana and then turns to me. "Come and meet la mia piccola gemma." I approach the two women and only their grandmother greets me. Daniel wraps his hand around my waist, making me a little uncomfortable, but I'd have to hold on or our charade wouldn't get very far.

Antonella comes and takes the baby from my lap. The man next to me squeezes lightly the place where he holds. Certainly not liking that Antonella was with Alessa, I confess that I also feel uncomfortable, but we remain silent.

In this way, we enter the mansion and settle in. Soon we are faced with reality... "We'll have to share the same room!" We look at each other and the only option we have is to go to the venue, without complaining. Because we had contacted them before, saying that we had resumed and that we were returning to Italy.

"Alessa and you can keep the bed, I have no problem sleeping on the couch." The same says as he goes to the closet to unpack his bags.

"Thank you very much, it's very kind of you. But are you sure?" Daniel nods and continues what he is doing.

I put Alessa in the middle of the bed, surrounding her with the pillows. And I go to my luggage, to also store my things in the closet.

"If Viktor had known that we are going to share the same room, I think he would have come this far by now." I comment, and Daniel stares at me.

"Don't even think about telling him, or he will destroy everything. And we are not doing anything too much, each one knows their place..." I agree, he is right.

LATER...

We dined in complete silence. Daniel, from time to time, cast deadly glances at Antonella, who enjoys her dinner well and is therefore oblivious to what is happening around her.

"Honey, how were all those months of pregnancy?" Asks Mrs. Suzana.

"They were even very calm, I had nausea until the fifth month of pregnancy and the delivery was normal." I smile slightly.

"I was unlucky with it and it left me scarred for life." Antonella completes, looking disgusted.

"Although it had left marks on me, I wouldn't care. Being a mother is a gift and only we women have this blessing." I mean, and she stops eating, looking at Daniel.

"I didn't mean that, I..."

"Alright, 'Mommy,' we know what you meant." He speaks and smiles wryly.

"Good, dear. I'm already satisfied, I'm going back to our room, because I have to feed Alessa." I nod and so I stand up.

Passing through the corridor, I see the twins again and then I end up suspecting something... "Possibly Dona Suzana's mother was the one who delivered my mother!"

"And once again you're admiring the painting, um?" Your voice takes me out of my thoughts.

"Would the signora be able to tell me who the mother of these babies was?" Ask.

"All I know is that her name was Martina, and she... Heavens!" He exclaims, his eyes analyzing me completely. "You look like her, ragazza!" With bulging eyes, she approaches and touches my face, as if to be sure of what she was saying. So I decide to reveal to you:

"That's because I'm her daughter, probably the baby on the right." She falls backwards, but I hold her and I start to worry. "Heavens, are you okay?" I ask, and with difficulty she nods and says:

"Take me to my room, please." I say "yes" and take her to her room, helping her lie on her bed. "Daughter, you know that my mother and I could not stop that cruelty."

"I know this very well and don't worry, whoever did it must be paying for his wickedness." I speak, and she agrees. "Rest, I'm going to my room."

I leave his room and go to mine. I hear my phone ring and I quickly approach to answer it.

"Hello." I say finally.

"Hi, love, how are things?" Viktor asks, and I smile as he treats me affectionately.

"Hello, my dear, everything is going well. And you, how are you?"

"I'm great, but I miss you." With shame, I say:

"We saw each other this afternoon."

"I know that, but just so you know, I already started missing you when you walked out that door! And that's why I'm calling to invite you to come here." His proposal, although it was good, we could not, since Daniel is impersonating him.

"It's tempting, but you know we can't."

"Don't worry about it, I've already talked to Daniel and we've found a way for you to leave and he'll bring you himself."

"Okay, if you already have everything ready. So I'll just agree without complaining." I answer, and we both smile. "I'd love to talk a little more, but Alessa is about to wake up and I have to breastfeed her." In this way, we exchanged a few more affectionate words and said goodbye.

\[...\]

I tie my hair in a high bun, to match my black dress perfectly and very tight to my body, accentuating my curves well.

Someone knocks on the door and I authorize him to enter. The figure of Daniel comes and comes to me. I turn towards him and he analyzes me. I swallow hard, because he shouldn't look at me like that. And to cut the mood, I take my bag and put it on my shoulder.

"I'm ready, we can go." He nods. I go to Alessa's crib and say goodbye to her. Then we left.

MINUTES LATER...

We stopped in front of the building where Viktor is. I get out of the car and Daniel starts, leaving me alone. Then I enter the building and go to the doorman, informing my name and he releases my passage. Soon I'm in the elevator.

Seeing my reflection one last time on the walls of the elevator, I check my appearance and then the doors open. I walk down the corridor and stop in front of the door of Viktor's apartment, where I give three knocks and automatically it opens for me.

I enter and realize that on the floor there was a trail of small candles, while others a little larger illuminated the room. I remove my heel and tiptoe along the trail until I spot a small piece of paper. I take it in my hands and unfold it, reading:
