44. Flames of Jealousy

**44. Flames of Jealousy**

“So how did you two love birds meet?”

The woman to my right questions me as I glare at the man who knocked me with a baby, and now locking eyes with another woman, like he can’t take off his gaze from her.

The blood in my veins boils with an intensity which rivals the red colour of my dress as I watch them stealing glances at each other.

Something enters my bones like a wild fire, catching up all my nerves and I realize it is anger.

My body is coursing with a lethal dose of anger. It took me four hours to get ready and yet he is staring at another woman, with so much depth in his eyes like he can’t wait to go talk to her.

I gaze upon the gang of old girls that my mother-in-law has left me with and watch their prying faces.

“You want to hear the full story?” I ask and they nod their heads eagerly, like it’s the gossip of their life.

*So here is the story, bitches…*

“I went to a bar in Las vegas for the first time and I saw this awesomely handsome man walking towards me.”

All the ladies stare at me with a curiosity of a cat and I lick my lips before saying, “He complimented on my looks and trust me ladies, he had the most beautiful voice I have ever heard that would even charm mermaids to come on shore.”

The women respond with flirty coos and I feel my cheeks flush.

“Then suddenly, out of nowhere, Ceasar comes rushing at me and shoves the handsome dude away, asking me if I was a doctor, because after seeing me his erectile dysfunction just got cured.”

The look of curiosity on their faces morph into ones of utter confusion as they stare at me with joined eyebrows. “Ceasar had problem in getting an erection? Is that what you trying to say?” One of them asks me.

“Not really. He just couldn’t get erect after seeing a girl. But he was totally fine with the boys. At least that’s what he told me.” I grin mischievously.

My eyes again find him and instantly, the smile drops as I watch him texting someone and so does that girl.

Maddening cow, that’s how I feel right now!

“What? Ceasar was into men?”

I whip my head at the perplexed voice blasting through my right ear. “Yes. Ceasar was gay.” I blurt out, causing her mouth to gape open like a fish out of water.

“In one glance, I knew he was a loser and prolly into dicks. And he kept hitting on me all night, saying I was the only girl he ever got rock hard for and that he wanted to marry me and start a family so the world wouldn’t think he was gay, which he was before meeting me.”

Their faces went from surprised to totally gobsmacked, like someone had just set off a nuclear bomb under their noses.

“Then he started begging me , but then I gave him a challenge. I told him if he got my name tattooed, I would marry him. And you people won’t believe, he actually got my name.. Joycelyn tattooed in big bold letters right on his butt cheeks.”

I hear gasps of horror coming from their mouth and the evil smile on my face increases.

“Yes. His ass was like a billboard for my name. And even to this day, he still has Joy and Cena tattooed on each of his butt cheek. He was a bit drunk, that’s why he messed up with the spelling. But, his love was real, and I couldn’t tell him no.”

I chuckle, imagining the names on Ceasar’s ass, but the ladies don’t seem to find it funny. By the end of my love story, they all politely excused themselves and made another group to gossip about the crispy story I provided them.

I sip my juice, feeling like a bad queen who just conquered the throne of her king. Suddenly, I feel a hard body towering over me from behind and I swirl around to find Ceasar. A smirking Ceasar with a naughty look on his face. *Ah, Cason!*

Dark grey eyes stare at me with mischief and I realize he heard everything. Great!

“What?” I ask him as he continues to gaze at me with a silent judging stare.

“I like you.” He purrs after a long peaceful time. “You dislike my brother more than me.”

I roll my eyes and look away, only to have my heart sliced. A sudden pang shoots through my heart as I catch the sight of Ceasar making his way towards the girl he has been silently staring all this time.

They smile at each other and I feel something squeezing in my chest, hard and mercilessly. It’s my heart.

“Ohh! So you finally met your husband’s girlfriend, Irene.” Cason whispers in my ear like a devil and my blood pressure increases with creative murderous thoughts floating in my mind.

“Isn’t she pretty?” He smirks while sipping his drink.

My law clenches and my teeth throb with pain. The monster of jealousy claws at my insides as Ceasar hands her the same drink, the one he let his lips and tongue touch.

It’s hard to believe that those lips were kissing me just moments ago and now they are curved up in a smile for someone else.

“Please tell me you fucked her.” I ask Cason. My fingers tighten around the glass as I watch them talking to each other.

“Nope. She is the only girlfriend I didn’t sleep with.” He replies.

“Why not?” I ask him surprisingly. He had just one job. One *fucking* job!

Cason takes a sip of his champagne and watches them conversing as well. “She bored me.” He comments nonchalantly.

“She didn’t even get my flirt lines and was plain boring and workaholic like my brother. Probably that’s why they fit together.”

I narrow my eyes at Cason and he leans closer, spreading his grin. “Just like we fit together. Or we will be.” And winks at me.

I look at the gay-son,

Seems like he is not done.

His personality is just like his brother.

A massive asshole undercover!

I give an eye-roll and shift my gaze elsewhere. Suddenly, sparks of jealous pick up flames within me as I watch Ceasar take Irena’s hand and silently slip out of the back door.

My heart rattles like someone is shaking me from inside while I stay frozen from outside. It feels like I am drowning in my own thoughts of what I just witnessed now and I can’t seem to shake off my feelings.

“Do you need a drink?” Cason asks me as he observes the hurt on my face. His eyes soft and voice soothing.

But I pull the corners of my lips up and demand. “I want alcohol and a matchstick.”

Cason lets out a chuckle as if he is enjoying the fresh drama that he has been craving for years. “Whom do you want to burn?” He asks playfully.

The contract.

I want to shred the contract, tear out my bleeding heart and flee from this place as far as I could. I can’t see him having an affair in front of my eyes that long for his attention.

The turmoil inside of me is suffocating me from inside and I feel like to rip this dress and my hair, which crave for his eyes.

But I know it is useless.

We are not a real couple. Our relationship is nothing but a facade for entertainment, a mere spectacle for the eyes of the public.

“Ceasar or his girlfriend, whom do you want to turn into ashes?” Cason raises a brow at me.

“His money. His car. His stupid suit.” In which he looks handsome like Tom Cruise.

“Leave his car. I’ll help you burn his other stuff.” The evil twin smirks excitedly.

“Why? Why do you want to hurt your own brother?” I question him with my brows furrowed in suspicion.

“I don’t want to hurt him. I just wanna play along.” He innocently blinks his dark lashes as he sips his drink.

I roll my eyes and look away from the double-faced cheshire cat. Suddenly, Ceasar walks in from the back door, alone. His eyes scan the crowd as if he is looking for someone and finally they stop at me.

My heart jumps in my ribcage, and I instantly look away with enraged heartbeats. My insides are still burning in jealous, and his gaze on me strokes the fire more.

However, I am not interested in his attention anymore. He has hurt me, and I intend to reciprocate the favour with interest.

“Cason!” My hand clutches on his thick arm and lock eyes with him, as I issue a command.

“Touch me!”
