Maverick stood in his training room, his inspiration to train burning deep within his heart. He had just watched the most epic fights he had ever seen, and it made him want to grow all the more stronger.
When he usually sparred against Jarvis, Jarvis would often come out triumphant, and that made Maverick feel really powerful. He even felt that he was the most powerful in his kingdom and had earned the title of the Lycan King. But watching as Master Blake and Master Henry clashed against each other, he knew that he was nowhere near their level.
He had not even known that aura could become so strong that it could have a huge physical manifestation. If he was going to be a king who would be respected by all, he would need to surprise everyone.
Maverick looked in front of him and observed the wild array of training sets before him. They were crude constructions of human-like opponents made of wood, driven around by a gear system. They were made of incredibly tough wood, difficult to break, and could cause serious damage to someone who was weak. They moved really fast, and without quick reflexes, one could get seriously wounded while training. Maverick liked to come here and increase his strength, but observing the movement of these humanoid wooden constructions, he knew that if either Master Blake or Master Frederick stood before them, they could shatter them all with a single move.
He took a step closer to one of the wooden constructions and dodged a hit from one of its wooden arms. With a punch born out of rage at his own weakness, he hit it directly in the center. It was incredibly tough, and all he did was make a crack in it.
It spun around and hit him violently across the face. Fueled by emotions of rage, Maverick viciously punched it, shattering it into two.
Maverick looked at a nearby wooden construction, which was spinning around rapidly. He did not hesitate to dive at that one and then at the next. Each one he punched was shattered into pieces, and slowly his aura began to increase. When it reached its maximum, he shattered any wooden construction he came across, and very soon his training ground was filled with shattered pieces of wood.
He stood there, atop all this wood, still feeling the desire to hit something.
"It seems you wouldn't mind having a training partner," Master Henry said, walking out from the corner where he had been observing.
"Master Henry," Maverick said, taking a breath as he looked toward him. Although Maverick was surprised that Master Henry had entered the training room, he was also elated. He knew he had a training partner to vent his current inspiration on.
"It seems you are quite upset at how weak you are compared to your elders. But when it comes down to it, it takes years and years of tragedy and pain to reach their level. And to be honest, you have yet to experience any of it. Imagine watching a family slaughtered in front of you. Imagine watching your newborn child die right before your eyes. All these experiences serve to temper your mind and improve the strength of your overall person. You are yet to experience true tragedy, and because of that, you are not yet at their level," Master Henry said.
"And what about you, Master Henry? Have you experienced enough tragedy to reach their level?" Maverick asked curiously.
"Well, you don't call me Master Henry for nothing. When it comes to the pain Master Blake and Master Frederick have experienced, I have not experienced such. What I do say confidently is that I am strong," Master Henry said with a serious expression on his face.
"Are you as strong as you claim, Master Henry, or must I test it?" Maverick asked curiously.
"Well, if you want to find out, you're going to have to fight me to the point where I have to release all my power against you. I don't think that's likely," Master Henry said, his expression serious.
"Is that so? How about proving it right here, right now, that I am worthy of you going all out against me?" Maverick said. He threw away the upper part of his garments, took his stance indicating that he was ready to fight, and taunted Master Henry to come forward with a gesture of his fingers.
Master Henry simply chuckled slightly and began to move forward without hesitation.
Maverick took the opportunity to attack him and sent a devastating punch at his face. Master Henry then looked Maverick in the eye, and Maverick saw danger there, feeling stark fear.
Master Henry slapped away the punch with his right hand and then delivered a devastating open palm strike to Maverick's stomach, sending him flying into the air effortlessly.
Maverick coughed out blood, overwhelmed by the ferocity. He roared loudly, partially shifting in the air with several strands of hair pouring out from his skin.
He landed with a ferocious kick directed at Master Henry's head. With a simple flex of his hand, Master Henry grabbed Maverick's leg and threw him away.
Maverick was definitely enraged by this and ran back at Master Henry, delivering a barrage of punches. The punches were quick, powerful, and devastating. If it had been a regular werewolf, they would probably have died under such an attack. But Master Henry caught them all as though he was sparring against a child.
Maverick was giving it his all, and realizing that it took only a little bit of strength on Master Henry's part to deflect his punches, he knew that Master Henry had not yet gotten serious with him.
Feeling enraged at having been tricked, Maverick released a desperate and frustrated punch that hit Master Henry directly in the face.
Master Henry wiped the blood from the corner of his lips and looked at Maverick dangerously. His aura was rising rapidly, and his clothes began to float in the air. His aura grew so strong that the upper part of his garments flew away from his body, and his hair began to float.
Staring at him now, Maverick felt as though he was watching an indomitable God of War.
