It was the following day after Mara called Amelia to threaten to do to her the same thing Adrian did to Dave.

After checking up on one of her patients, Amelia was just coming out of the ward when her phone suddenly started ringing. Without hesitating, she inserted her hand into the pocket of the white coat she was putting on and brought out her phone to check the caller ID, which was Erica. Without hesitating, she quickly picked up the call and placed the phone on her ear.

"Hello Erica, "How are you doing?" Amelia asked her while making her way to her office.

"I'm doing good. What about you?" Erica asked Amelia.

"I'm doing good too. So have you gotten to the address I sent you?" Amelia asked Erica.

"Yes, I have. I'm waiting for you, or are you busy?" Erica asked Amelia.

"Well, I was busy, but now I'm a little bit free, so give me some minutes; I will come and pick you up," Amelia said to Erica through the phone.

"Okay then, just give me a call once you arrive," Erica said to Amelia before hanging up the call.

Getting into her office, Amelia immediately removed the stethoscope that was hanging around her neck and dropped it on her desk; afterwards, she also removed the white coat she was putting on and hung it in a corner in her office before taking her car keys and handbag and walking out of her office.

Getting to the reception area, Amelia walked towards the two receptionists who were busy discussing among themselves.

"Good afternoon, Daria and Becky. How are both of you doing?" Amelia asked them.

"We are doing fine, ma'am. Are you already leaving?" Daria asked Amelia.

"No, I'm not yet leaving; I want to go and take care of something urgently. I will be back in less than thirty minutes," Amelia said to her.

"Okay, ma'am," Daria said to Amelia, who turned and walked out of the hospital.

Getting outside, she went to the parking lot and took her car and zoomed off.

Meanwhile, Adrian was in his office manipulating his phone when he heard a knock on his door.

"Come in," he said while raising his voice a little bit so that the person that was knocking could hear him, and with that the door burst open, revealing a man who looked a little bit older than Adrian.

"Good afternoon, sir," the man greeted Adrian, who had already dropped his phone and sat up on the chair as the man walked inside.

"Yes, good afternoon. Is it out already?" Adrian asked the man.

"Yes sir, all the video footage plus voice recording that you requested for are out already," the man said to Adrian before handing him a USB drive.

"Did you go through it?" Adrian asked the man after collecting the USB drive from him.

"No sir, I only went through the first one to confirm that the voice recording is included," the man said to Adrian.

"Okay then, thank you so much," Adrian said to him.

"No problem, sir, I will be taking my leave now," the man said to Adrian before walking out of the office.

Actually the previous day, after learning through Erica that Mara called Amelia and threatened to do to her the same thing he did to Dave, Adrian's thoughts were immediately confirmed, but what he still couldn't figure out was how Mara managed to get Amelia's phone number.

Given that Amelia changed her phone number after leaving the previous city in which she was, Adrian was sure of one thing, which was that someone close to Amelia gave her phone number to Mara, and whoever that person is works in the hospital because that's where all those who are close to her are.

In order to know who it was that gave Amelia's phone number to Mara, Adrian went to the security department of the hospital and requested the video footage of the hospital for the past week.

Since what Adrian was asking for wasn't that of a day or two but for a whole week, including the audio recording, he was asked to wait till the following day to get it.

After the departure of the member of the security department who got him the video footages, Adrian immediately plugged the USB drive into his computer and began going through the videos one after the other.

After going through the video footage for almost thirty minutes, Adrian finally fell on the video that interested him the most, which was that of Tony. While listening to most of the things he was saying through some of his phone calls Adrian could already tell that something was off about him, but since he couldn't hear what the person on the other end was saying, Adrian couldn't clearly grasp what most of his discussions were about, but after listening for some minutes, Adrian started hearing him mentioning Amelia's name in some of his phone calls, at some point, most of his discussions began centering solely on Amelia and that was when Adrian became convinced that Tony was the one who gave Amelia's phone number to Mara, and from the way most of their conversations went, Adrian could already tell that Tony didn't just started working with Mara recently, but he has been working with her for a very long time.

Learning all this, Adrian was about to go and take care of Tony in his own way, but then he remembered that he wasn't in his pack but in the human world, and if he wasn't careful, things could easily escalate and end up in the way he didn't want.

Taking his phone that was on his desk, he placed a call to someone who picked up after some minutes of ringing.

"Hello, Alpha Adrian, I thought you wouldn't call me back even after taking my phone number," the voice of the person Adrian called sounded through the phone after he picked up the call.

"Well, I wasn't going to, but then a situation which I will be needing your help to resolve showed up," Adrian said to him.

"So if I understand well, you called just because you needed my help," said the person Adrian through the phone.

"Exactly, Angelo, I called you because I needed your help," Adrian said to him.

"Well, I will pretend as if I didn't hear that, so what is it exactly you want me to help you with?" The person whose name is Angelo asked Adrian.

"I want you to help me and abduct someone. I will send you the address of where the person is; you go there and abduct him and take him to the address I will give you," Adrian said to him.

"What, Alpha Adrian? How can you ask me to do such a thing? I'm a police officer, for crying out loud, and police officers don't abduct people; they arrest people who abduct people," Angelo said to Adrian through the phone.

"I will pay you any amount that you want," Adrian said to him.

"What?" Angelo asked Adrian.

"You heard me right, Angelo. The fact that you were once among the soldiers of my pack doesn't mean that I'm going to ask you to do such a thing for free, so I will pay you any amount you want for it. Do we have a deal or not?" Adrian asked him.

"Alpha Adrian, it's not as if I use...

"Do we have a deal or not?" Adrian asked him once again, not giving him the chance to finish whatever he wanted to say.

"Yes, we have a deal," Angelo said to Adrian through the phone.

"Perfect, I will send you the information about the person right now and also where I want you to take him," Adrian said to him.

"Okay, your highness," Angelo said to Adrian before hanging up the call.
