Chapter 151 Chapter 152
Chapter 151 Chapter 152
Mara could be seen sitting alone in the garden in Leroy's mansion while drinking some alcohol as she waited for Leroy to come back with Amelia.
With everything Leroy said before leaving with his men, she was very sure that he was going to come back with Amelia, and she, on the other hand, couldn't wait for Leroy to finally come back so that she could finally avenge Dave's death.
As she was still busy sipping the alcohol from the bottle, she started hearing some footsteps getting closer, and with that, she quickly turned around only to see Leroy walking towards her, but from his facial expression, she could already tell that something was wrong.
"Hey, welcome back. So how was it?" Mara asked Leroy, who sat down on the chair opposite her before taking one of the bottles of alcohol, which he opened and began drinking.
"Mission not accomplished; things didn't go as planned," Leroy said to Mara as he dropped the bottle of alcohol he was holding on the table.
"What? "That's a joke, right?" Mara asked Leroy with a displeased tone.
"No Mara, it's not a joke; we almost caught her, but her saviour showed up and ruined everything," Leroy said to Mara, who groaned in frustration.
"And who the hell was that saviour of hers?" Mara asked Leroy.
"Adrian, of course, or who were you expecting it to be?" Leroy asked Mara before taking a sip of his drink.
"So if I understand well, you saw him and just backed away?" Mara asked Leroy.
"Yes, of course, or what were you expecting me to do, to go after him?" Leroy asked Mara.
"Well, I don't know, but with the way you fear Adrian, it's just as if he's a god. I mean, there were four of you against him alone, so you could have at least given it a try instead of backing away like a coward," Mara said to Leroy, who was staring at her with furrowed brows.
"Are you even listening to yourself right now? You say that I see Adrian like a god; well, that's true. He's a god, a god of war. Do you know how many wars he's been in since when he became an Alpha? Do you know how many soldiers he has singlehandedly struck down on the battlefield? And you want me to go against him with only three men? Well, I'm not doing that, and do you know why?" Leroy asked Mara, who was silently staring at him.
"Because I'm not stupid, I'm not making the same mistake Dave did. You want Amelia; I will get her for you, but give me some time, and also know this: I'm not risking my precious life for it. I will get you Amelia, but without endangering my life," Leroy said to Mara before standing up.
"Now if you don't mind, I have things to take care of. If you need anything, you already know where to find me," Leroy said to Mara before walking away with the bottle of alcohol he was holding.
Once Leroy left, Amelia growled angrily before pushing down all the bottles on the table, sending them crashing on the ground. Leroy, despite hearing the sound of the breaking bottles, didn't even bother to stop or to go and check what had happened; instead, he muttered "crazy woman" under his breath while walking away.
Seeing one of his men, he called him over.
"When Mara leaves the garden, please go and clean it up; she has caused some mess over there," Leroy said to him.
"Okay boss," the person said to Leroy, who was already walking away.
Getting to the sitting room, Leroy sat down on one of the sofas before bringing out his phone and placing a call to Tony, and while the phone was ringing, he brought out a cigarette from his pocket and lit it up and began smoking it.
"Hello boss," Tony's voice sounded through the phone after the call was picked up.
"Hi Tony, how are you doing?" Leroy asked Tony through the phone while still smoking his cigarette.
"I'm doing good, boss, so how was it?" Tony asked Leroy'
"Things didn't go as planned; Adrian showed up," Leroy said to Tony through the phone.
"Ooh, I'm sorry to hear that, boss. If not, I saw when he arrived at the hospital this morning, but I didn't know that he left afterwards," Tony said to Leroy.
"It's okay, Tony; there's no need to apologise. After all, you did nothing wrong; you played your own role, but things didn't go as planned," Leroy said to Tony.
"Okay boss, I will keep on keeping an eye on her as usual, and if any other opportunity presents, I will let you know," Tony said to Leroy.
"Okay, aside from that, there's something else I want you to do," Leroy said to Tony.
"Okay boss, what is it?" Tony asked Leroy, "
"I will be sending some of my men over there; since you can only keep an eye on her at the hospital, the men I will be sending over will keep an eye on her outside the hospital. So you will provide them with all the information they need over there till everything is taken care of," Leroy said to Tony.
"Okay, no problem, boss, I will take care of it," Tony said to Leroy.
"Okay, and please no mistakes; you know very well how much I hate mistakes," Leroy said to Tony.
"You have nothing to worry about, boss; there would be no mistakes," Tony said to Leroy.
"Well, I hope so, and one last thing, you guys should make sure to keep your distance from Adrian. Things are going smoothly right now because he's not yet suspecting anything, and any single mistake is already enough to blow up everything, and he will start having suspicions, and the only way to avoid that is by keeping your distance," Leroy said to Tony.
"We will try our best, boss," Tony said to Leroy in reply.
"Okay then, I will let you know when the men arrive," Leroy said to Tony.
"Okay, boss," Tony said to Leroy before the call was hung up.
