Chapter 137 UNEARTHED REVELATION

In that moment, everything became clear. The moon had revealed these hidden secrets, uncovering the authentic stories of everyone involved. It was as if the moon’s light had exposed all the concealed truths, guiding me toward understanding.
This revelation was a gift from the moon itself. Her goal was to ensure fairness for all, and she was using me as a means to bring these truths to light. I had a clear objective now—to embrace this newfound clarity and face what lay ahead with an open heart.
Mom looked at me with a wistful expression. "Can you find it in your heart to forgive me?"
I chuckled softly, shaking my head in amusement. “There is no need for forgiveness, Mom. I understand now. Thank you for sharing all of this with me.” I clasped her hands in mine, a genuine smile spreading across my face.
Her smile widened, tears of happiness streaming down her cheeks. She gently touched my forehead, her affection evident. “I really hope Nixx and your father will feel the same way when I tell them…”
Before I could respond, the front door swung open with a loud creak, revealing Dad, his face etched with a scowl. Instinctively, we pulled apart, hastily wiping away our tears. Dad entered the room, his tired eyes shifting between us.
As he glanced at us, a slight, weary smile tugged at his lips. “We should head out. The meeting is starting earlier than expected. The kits just arrived a few minutes ago, so let’s get going, ladies. We need to get this over with,” he said, running a hand over his face with a tired sigh.
Mom’s face fell as she rose from her chair. “Hey Jack, can we talk for a moment?” Her voice was tinged with nervousness. I could feel the weight of her anxiety, dreading how Dad would react when he learned the truth.
The details would be revealed at the meeting, but if she didn’t tell him beforehand and he discovered the truth on his own, he might react poorly.
Dad, seemingly preoccupied, quickly dismissed her request. “We’ll talk later,” he said, walking over to us and giving her a gentle kiss on the temple. “Everyone’s already here, waiting for us. We better get going.”
Mom’s face turned pale with fear. Panic set in as she anxiously began to fidget. “But Jack, we can’t wait!” Her voice was urgent, her small frame trembling with unease.
Dad’s heavy boots thudded on the floor as he made his way toward the door. He paused, turning to look at us with his tired, forest-green eyes. “We have to go, honey. We’ll meet you both there,” he said with a strained smile before stepping out.
Mom was left in shock, her lip trembling and her cheeks damp with fresh tears. I took her hand in mine, feeling a surge of protectiveness.
“Mom, don’t worry. We can handle this. I’ll support you, and we’ll explain everything to him. He’ll understand if you tell him what you told me.”
Dad’s worried green eyes locked onto mine for a brief moment before he left, leaving us to face the upcoming confrontation together.
“No! You do not understand, Edeline! That test is going to reveal Nixx as an Alpha. Nixx—your dad! Do you realize how devastated your dad will be? William and Percival are completely clueless. Our secret is about to be exposed, and I am terrified about whose wolf will come out. It could turn into a violent mess,” she exclaimed, her eyes widening in alarm. Her bottom lip was trembling, a small drop of blood glistening as if she had bitten down too hard in her distress.
The thought of it made me feel uneasy. The possibility of a violent conflict loomed large, with Dad feeling betrayed by both William and Mom, and discovering that Luna had known about this all along.
But there was also another test looming. I was fairly certain it would turn out negative. If only we could save our family dramas for later, away from prying eyes and curious onlookers.
“Mom, it is crucial that we focus on Tatiana’s test and give it our full attention,” I said firmly, locking eyes with her.
She looked uncertain. “But… Tatiana doesn’t have anything to worry about…”
A small smile touched the corners of my mouth. “Mom, I am confident that Tatiana’s test will be negative. Let’s handle that first and then deal with Nixx’s situation once Alpha Conor is preoccupied. We need to stay focused.”
I instinctively took a step back as she looked at me with curiosity.
“What do you mean?” she asked, her voice cracking with apprehension.
“Come on, Mom! We need to move!” I urged, quickly donning my clear poncho and rushing outside into the pouring rain. She followed suit, grabbing her raincoat and slipping it on as we made our way to our destination.
Oh no!
I had completely forgotten about visiting Darius. I hoped he could endure until the secrets were revealed. I had no idea what would happen, but I could sense that something significant was about to unfold.
I patted my back pockets, feeling the tea bags I had collected from Darius’s room pressing against the fabric.
If Anita confesses… I’ll be sure to mention Darius to them.
With a firm grip on my mom’s hand, we hurriedly navigated the waterlogged dirt road, each step sending splashes of water in all directions. The heavy rain obscured our vision, but I made sure to give her a reassuring squeeze.
I would make sure nothing happened to her. I was determined to ensure her safety, even though I had no doubt she could handle herself.
A wave of anxiety began to wash over me as we approached the pack house. The familiar feeling of unease tightened in my chest. There was no turning back now.

The atmosphere in Alpha William’s office could be described in one word.
What a mess.
The air was heavy, almost suffocating. It seemed to cling to everything, making it hard to breathe. I walked into the room with my mom close behind me, her hand gripping mine tightly. It was clear she was nervous. I gave her hand a gentle squeeze, hoping to comfort her. Her fear was almost tangible, mingling with the thick sense of dread that hung in the air.
