Chapter 346 You Are Actually So Stingy
Brad's face changed dramatically when he didn't expect Saskia to grab the phone and confront Isabella directly.
He quickly snatched the phone back from Saskia's hand.
"Saskia, what are you doing? Why are you saying these things to Isabella?"
Isolde and Delmar also looked at Saskia with somewhat complicated expressions.
They also felt that what Saskia said was inappropriate.
"Sorry, Isabella, don't take what Saskia just said to heart."
Brad said apologetically to the person on the other end of the phone.
Isabella held her phone, raising her eyebrows slightly.
The air fell into silence.
Brad broke the silence first, "Isabella, didn't you just say you know the correct steps? Can you tell us the right way to do it?"
Immediately, Isolde and Delmar focused their attention on the phone.
Only Saskia pressed her lips together, her face flushed red.
Isabella didn't say anything. She picked up the manuscript paper she had written, studied it for a moment, and then hung up directly.
Hearing the dial tone indicating the call had been disconnected, everyone looked at each other.
"Isabella hung up?" Isolde was somewhat incredulous.
"Yes." Brad nodded, putting down the phone somewhat helplessly.
Isolde frowned slightly, "It seems Isabella is angry because of what Saskia said just now."
Their eyes fell on Saskia in unison.
Saskia pressed her lips together and lowered her head.
After calming down, Saskia also realized that her behavior had been too extreme. Would Delmar notice her jealousy toward Isabella? Would he dislike her because of this? Would he think she was petty?
Saskia immediately became nervous.
She pinched her palm and looked at Delmar carefully, speaking somewhat aggrieved: "I... I didn't mean to. I saw everyone thinking all afternoon without figuring it out, but Isabella clearly knew the correct method yet didn't tell us proactively. I felt she didn't consider us. We're a group, she should have told us right away."
"Do you think Isabella deliberately didn't tell us?" With things getting to this point, Brad was inevitably a bit anxious. He spoke with a tone of reproach, "Saskia, Isabella wanted to tell us from the beginning! But you insisted that your steps were fine, which is what stopped Isabella from speaking."
Being told off like this by Brad, Saskia felt even more wronged, tears almost falling.
Now even Brad was blaming her.
It was all Isabella's fault.
Not only did she make her lose control and damage her image, but she also made the guys have opinions about her.
She really hated Isabella.
"Alright, Brad, stop talking." Seeing the atmosphere wasn't good, Isolde pulled Brad back, "Saskia didn't know she was wrong at the time."
"Now Isabella has been offended by Saskia's words and won't even talk to us anymore. What should we do?" Brad asked with a frown.
Isolde's brows also tightened, "What Saskia said just now was indeed hurtful."
Brad looked at Saskia, "Saskia, let's go find Isabella together. When we get there, you apologize to her in person to clear up the misunderstanding."
Hearing this, Saskia was naturally unwilling.
But if she didn't apologize, everyone would probably be dissatisfied with her.
Saskia bit her lip and had to agree.
"Then let's go find Isabella now." Brad said.
"Which villa dorm does Isabella live in again?"
"I think it's number 112."
They left the lab and walked together toward villa dorm number 112.
——
At nine o'clock in the evening, the door of villa dorm 112 was knocked.
Kennedy looked through the display screen connected to the outdoor camera and saw clearly that it was Isabella's group members.
She glanced at Isabella on the sofa, "Isabella, they're here for you."
Isabella narrowed her eyes, already guessing who was outside.
She walked over and opened the door, raising her eyebrows slightly, looking at the four people at the door somewhat lazily:
"It's so late, what do you need from me?"
Isolde immediately put on a smile, "Isabella, don't take what Saskia said on the phone to heart. Saskia knows she was wrong, she came to apologize to you in person."
Isabella thought it was something else. Hearing this, her eyes narrowed slightly.
"Saskia, hurry up and apologize to Isabella." Isolde pushed Saskia in front of Isabella.
Saskia looked up at Isabella's exquisitely beautiful face. It would be a lie to say she wasn't jealous.
"Sorry, Isabella, I spoke too impulsively. You don't need to take it seriously."
Saskia's tone was flat, and the look in her eyes toward Isabella carried some disdain. It didn't sound like an apology at all, but rather like she was saying Isabella was making a big deal out of nothing.
Isabella looked at her without saying anything.
Brad looked at Isabella awkwardly, "Saskia was too confident before, and we were all misled by the wrong steps. Isabella, didn't you say you know the correct experimental steps? Why don't you write down the correct steps for us, and we'll follow your steps tomorrow. This time we'll definitely believe you."
Hearing this, Isabella raised her eyebrows, "Isn't this experimental step the part Saskia is responsible for? If I do what she's supposed to do, then what does she do?"
Saskia looked at Isabella somewhat embarrassed, "Isabella, so you mean you don't want to do this, right?"
Isabella stared at her, the corners of her mouth lifting in a slight smile, asking back: "What do you think?"
Saskia met Isabella's eyes. She felt like she saw mockery in Isabella's gaze.
Saskia's tone immediately became intense, "Isabella, I really didn't expect you to be so petty. If you weren't the only one who knows the correct experimental steps, we wouldn't have come to you. Do you need to be so calculating?"
Isolde quickly pulled Saskia back, "Saskia, shut up."
Saskia said dissatisfied: "I already apologized to her just now, what more does she want? Doesn't she just mean she doesn't want to help? This part is my responsibility, that's right, but does that mean she can just stand by and do nothing? This isn't just my experiment. Besides, she clearly knows what to do but is deliberately making things difficult for me! What does she mean? Does she dislike me..."
Isolde knew that Saskia had been quite upset by Delmar confessing to Isabella, which is why she lost her composure like this every time in front of Isabella. She pulled Saskia, "Saskia, don't be impulsive."
"Saskia, you came to apologize to Isabella, not to argue with her." Brad reminded with a slightly stern face.
Delmar also frowned, "Saskia, can you please stop making a scene? Isabella didn't say she's unwilling to help."
Saskia always cared about what Delmar thought of her. Seeing Delmar's somewhat dissatisfied look, Saskia felt even more wronged.
She really hated Isabella. If it weren't for Isabella, she wouldn't have damaged her image in front of Delmar again and again.
