Chapter 64 Stay Away from Natasha
"I didn't!"
Natasha froze for a moment, then immediately shouted loudly, "I just wanted you to pull me up, stop accusing me!"
As she spoke, she looked at Knox and said, "Knox, don't listen to her. I didn't do anything, but you saw Helena push me down."
Knox stood there frozen, not knowing who to believe for a moment.
"What's wrong with Mr. Pemberton? Doesn't he care about his fiancée?"
"Right? Have you all forgotten what happened at the auction last time? Mr. Pemberton gave Natasha an extremely expensive necklace."
"I heard about that, but I heard Helena was the one who bid on that necklace, and it was returned later. Natasha's behavior is really shameless."
A wave of discussion came from beyond the door. Hearing the voices, Knox finally snapped back to reality. He quickly walked to my side and said, "Helena, are you okay? I just thought Natasha wasn't that kind of person, so I was a bit slow to react."
"I don't blame you."
I covered my arm, gasping in pain. When I looked up at Natasha again, my eyes were full of grievance and confusion.
"Natasha, why did you pinch me? I came here with good intentions to help you."
"Helena, what's going on?"
Maria rushed into the room after hearing the commotion. When she saw the injury on my arm, she immediately became furious. "What happened? Who did this!"
"It was Natasha."
I said with some difficulty.
"Natasha, why did you hurt Helena? Haven't your family received enough benefits from our family over the years? Why would you treat my daughter like this!"
In her anger, Maria's voice grew much louder.
In my memory, Maria had always been gentle and soft-spoken. For Natasha to assault me really touched Maria's nerves.
Natasha looked around and saw quite a few people watching the drama unfold. She could only swallow her anger and say, "Aunt Maria, I really didn't mean to. Please don't be angry with me, you, and Helena."
"If this is what you do when you don't mean to, what would you do if you meant to?"
Maria said coldly, "I never knew you had such a vicious side!"
After speaking, Maria grabbed my arm and said, "I'm taking you to the hospital right now."
She finished with a heavy snort, "From now on, our family doesn't welcome women with such vicious hearts!"
I glanced over and saw Natasha's face had turned pale.
"Knox." I heard Natasha softly call Knox's name.
When I turned to look, Knox had already turned and walked toward me.
"Helena, I'll go to the hospital with you."
I nodded, "Let's go."
Behind us, Natasha stood there with a pale face.
As we went downstairs, we could still hear plenty of discussion.
"How can the Lockwood family have such a vicious woman?"
"Exactly. She's so cruel. If you married her, you'd have to sleep with your eyes open to prevent her from killing you."
"You're so right."
As the discussions rang in my ears, I saw Knox's face beside me become extremely unpleasant, his clenched fists revealing his current mood.
Seeing him like this made me feel much better.
What I wanted was for Knox to feel disgusted, as if he'd eaten something dirty, even if he married Natasha in the future.
After today's scene, Natasha's reputation in high society was ruined. Only this way, when the video from my wedding banquet appears, will she desperately want to marry Knox.
But Knox is ambitious. For him, marrying a woman who offers him no advantage would be more painful than killing him.
I want to bind Knox and Natasha tightly together, to watch them become a couple who hate each other. It wouldn't be in vain for me to be so harsh on myself.
That's right, the injury on my arm wasn't intentionally caused by Natasha's pinching. I just added some pressure to the area she had reddened, but I didn't expect the effect to be this good.
"Helena, does it hurt badly? Don't worry, we'll be at the hospital soon."
As Maria finished speaking, Arabella came running out from inside.
"Maria, I heard Helena was injured. What happened?"
As she spoke, her eyes fell on my arm, and she immediately gasped, shouting loudly, "Who did this? Who could be so cruel?"
Whether Arabella was being sincere or putting on an act right now, at least she was showing concern for me.
I said softly, "It was Natasha, but it's okay. It doesn't hurt. I don't blame her. She must have been upset just now."
Hearing this, Arabella immediately exclaimed, "This bruise looks really scary. What's wrong with Natasha? How could she hurt you like this? That's so unreasonable!"
"Helena, you're too kind. How can you still speak up for her?"
After Arabella spoke, Maria frowned and said, "Arabella is right. I think Natasha has gone crazy and won't spare anyone. You should stay away from her from now on."
I glanced at Knox driving in the front seat and said, "I was able to get together with Knox thanks to Natasha, so I've always been grateful to her."
"Gratitude is one thing, but you can't let yourself get hurt."
Maria said disapprovingly, "Besides, hasn't she taken enough from you? It must be over a hundred million dollars by now, and we've never asked her for a penny back. Just for that, this debt of gratitude has long been repaid."
"Mom, stop talking."
I deliberately acted embarrassed and shook my head at Maria, but her words still caught Arabella's attention.
She frowned and said, "Natasha also takes things from you! If you ask me, you should get those things back. Natasha is too vicious!"
I nodded, "I will. I've worried Mrs. Pemberton, too."
"From now on, protect yourself and don't make me worry again."
Seeing Arabella say this, I nodded obediently, "Okay."
"As long as you're well, I'll do anything!"
After Maria spoke, the car soon arrived at the hospital. Opening the car door, Knox took my hand and carefully walked toward the hospital.
"It's fine. Just use this medicine three times a day when you get back, and the bruise will fade quickly."
After hearing the doctor's words, Maria asked worriedly, "Will it leave a scar?"
The doctor shook his head, "No, Mrs. Lockwood. This medicine is very effective for dissolving bruises. Ms. Lockwood doesn't have any wounds, so it won't leave scars."
Hearing the doctor's words, Maria finally felt relieved.
"Then let's go back."
Knox nodded and carefully supported my arm, saying, "Helena, be careful."
