Chapter 61 CHAPTER 61
Chapter 61 CHAPTER 61
CELIA'S POV
I watched Krystal’s fake smile and felt that familiar twist in my gut. Stupid? No way. This was straight out of every bad movie I’d ever seen — the enemy offers a drink at the big party, smiles all sweet, and boom, the girl ends up drugged and ruined. I wasn’t falling for that shit. Not after everything they’d already tried.
“You really think I’m that dumb?” I muttered under my breath, heart pounding hard. My pendant felt warm against my chest, like it was warning me too. Krystal wanted me out of the picture. And the brothers? They probably helped plan this. A perfect chance to get rid of the omega stepsister who kept embarrassing them.
But I could turn it around. Make it right on my own terms.
I lifted the glass to my lips, letting the bubbles touch them like I was really drinking. The cold fizz tickled, but I didn’t swallow a drop. Instead I tilted my head back just enough for her to see, then lowered it fast.
“Mm, that’s good,” I said, voice light. “Thanks, Krystal. You’re right, we should celebrate.”
She watched me close, eyes sharp. “See? Nice and relaxing. Drink up, Celia. You deserve it after all the stress.”
I gave her a small smile, then pretended to take another sip. Inside, anger and excitement mixed together, hot and messy. Part of me wanted to slap the glass out of her hand. Another part — the twisted one that got wet when the brothers stared at me — liked this game. The danger. The way my skin tingled knowing they were watching from across the garden.
A few seconds later I let my knees buckle a little. “Whoa… head feels funny,” I mumbled, pressing a hand to my forehead. I swayed on purpose, letting my eyes go blurry. “Krystal… everything’s spinning.”
She stepped closer fast, grabbing my arm. “Oh no, are you okay? Come on, let’s get you somewhere quiet. Too much champagne, huh?”
Her voice sounded so caring, but I could hear the satisfaction underneath. Bitch. I leaned on her like I was weak, letting her guide me through the crowd. My dress brushed against my thighs with every step, and I felt eyes on us — the brothers, no doubt. Xavier’s intense stare, Jasper’s worried one, all of them burning into my back. Heat crawled up my neck. Even now, knowing they might be in on it, their attention made my nipples tighten under the thin fabric.
“Yeah… just need to sit down,” I slurred, faking it good. My heart raced so fast I thought it might give me away. Inside I was screaming. You think you can drug me? Use me? I’ll make you regret every second.
Krystal kept her arm tight around me, leading me toward the side of the mansion where the lights got dimmer. “Don’t worry, I’ve got you. We’ll find a nice quiet spot. Maybe some fresh air will help.”
I stumbled against her on purpose, letting my body press close. “You’re… being so nice tonight,” I whispered, voice shaky like I was scared. “After everything… thank you.”
She laughed softly, but it sounded sharp. “Of course. What are friends for? Just relax, Celia. Let it all go.”
My mind spun with thoughts. The brothers probably wanted this — me weak, easy to control or throw away. The mate bond pulled at me even now, making me imagine Jasper’s hands steadying me instead, his rough voice in my ear telling me to behave. Xavier pinning me down. Fuck. Why did hate feel this hot? My thighs clenched as Krystal pulled me into a darker hallway. I hated them. I wanted them. I wanted to destroy them.
We turned a corner, away from the music and lights. My fake dizziness got stronger. I let my head drop to her shoulder. “Krystal… I don’t feel good…”
“Shh, almost there,” she said, voice low and excited now. “Just a little further. You’ll be fine soon.”
I kept my eyes half-closed, breathing fast. Every step took us deeper into the quiet part of the mansion. My skin prickled with awareness. This was it. She was taking me exactly where she wanted. And the brothers? They’d probably show up any second, acting all innocent while they finished whatever plan they had.
Anger burned in my chest, but so did something else — that dark thrill. The chase. The fight. Even drugged and weak in their eyes, I was still one step ahead. My body felt alive, sensitive, nipples hard against my dress, core warm and aching from the tension.
Krystal pushed open a side door to a small lounge room. Soft lights, big couch. She eased me toward it. “Here. Sit down. I’ll take care of you.”
I sank onto the cushions, letting my head fall back. “Thank you…” I mumbled, watching her through my lashes.
She smiled down at me, real satisfaction in her eyes now. “You’re welcome, Celia. Just close your eyes and rest.”
kept my eyes half-closed, listening. Footsteps came closer. The guard. That same rough-looking guy she’d been fucking.
“You got her?” he asked low.
“Yeah,” Krystal said, voice excited now. “She drank the whole thing. Stupid omega thought we were friends. Go get the others. Three or four guys should do it. Make sure they fuck her hard, different men so when everyone finds her, she’s ruined. Naked, covered in cum, looking like the biggest slut at the wedding. The brothers will drop her after that. No one wants a used-up mate.”
My blood boiled. They wanted to gang-rape me and leave me broken. The rage hit hard, but underneath it, this twisted heat flared up too. Thinking about the brothers finding me like that made my thighs squeeze together. Not because I wanted it — fuck no — but because I knew they’d lose their shit. Possessive alphas. Their dirty stares, their threats… it all mixed up in my head and made me wet despite everything.
The guard laughed. “She’s hot when she’s out. Bet she’s tight.”
“Just do it fast and leave her spread open,” Krystal snapped. “I want pictures. Then I’ll scream for help. Perfect timing after the party.”
“On it,” he said, and his footsteps faded down the hall.
The second the door clicked shut, I opened my eyes fully. Krystal had her back to me, fixing her hair in the mirror, smiling like she’d already won.
I stood up slow, silent. My dress felt tight against my skin, nipples hard from the adrenaline and that stupid mate pull. God, I was pissed. But I also felt powerful. Alive.
Krystal turned, eyes wide when she saw me standing there, steady and smirking. “What the— You? How?”
“Surprise, bitch,” I said softly, stepping closer. My voice came out low and teasing, the same way the brothers talked to me. “You really thought that weak shit would knock me out? I’ve had worse from your boyfriends.”
Her face twisted in shock and anger. “You fucking tricked me? After everything, you—”
“Yeah, after everything,” I cut in, voice sharp. “You tried to drown me, set me up, drug me, now this? Planning to have random guys fuck me while I’m passed out? You’re disgusting.”
She backed up, but I was faster. I grabbed her by the hair and slammed my fist into her jaw hard. She dropped like a sack, unconscious before she hit the floor. My knuckles stung, but it felt good. Really good.
I dragged her to the bed, breathing fast. My hands shook a little from the rush. I stripped her dress off quick, yanking it down her body until she was completely naked. Her tits spilled out, hickeys still fresh on her neck and thighs from that guard. I arranged her legs spread open, one arm above her head, just like she wanted them to find me. Payback’s a bitch.
“Sleep tight,” I whispered, brushing her hair back almost gently. “When they find you like this, everyone will know what kind of slut you really are.”
Footsteps. Heavy ones coming down the hall. My heart jumped. I looked around fast, spotted a big wardrobe in the corner, and slipped inside, pulling the door almost closed. I left a tiny crack to watch. My chest rose and fell quick, skin hot, core still throbbing from all the tension. Hate, revenge, and that weird pull toward the brothers — it all tangled up and made me feel wild.
