Drawn by the fair weather that day, Chu Jiao forced herself to get up because she wanted to go out and admire the view, just like Chu Qiao did.
But when Chu Jiao got outside, her jealousy was immediately provoked by the sight of Chu Qiao and Zhong Jinchun having a good time together.
She had been in the Palace for such a long time, yet she had no friends that she could confide in. But somehow, everyone seemed to like Chu Qiao very much.
Although she couldn't figure out why, the only thing in her mind now was that she must get rid of Chu Qiao. Only then could she become the center of everyone's attention again.
"It seems you and Zhong Jinchun are close, huh? Then I'll wipe your friends out one by one. By then, I don't think you can ever smile again since you have no one around you. I'll gradually drag you into the abyss, where you will be left beyond redemption!"
At the same moment, Chu Qiao noticed Chu Jiao as well. Chu Qiao was actually well aware that even though Chu Jiao was her biological sister, she was an insidious and vicious woman who wanted nothing but Chu Qiao's downfall.
Although Chu Qiao had no intention of dredging up the past, some of her misdeeds were just way out of line that she could no longer tolerate.
Chu Qiao's smile gradually faded, and Zhong Jinchun noticed it so she walked up to Chu Qiao.
She asked out of concern, "Sister, what's wrong? Why did you get so serious all of a sudden?"
Although Chu Qiao regarded Zhong Jinchun as a good friend, she did not want to share everything with her,
Because she hoped that Zhong Jinchun could live a carefree life and stay out of the power struggles inside the Prince Palace. Chu Qiao pondered about it for a while and decided to keep it all to herself.
Thus, Chu Qiao shook her head gently and said to Zhong Jinchun.
"Nothing. I just saw an acquaintance. Let's go back to enjoying the scenery!"
What Chu Qiao didn't know was that Zhong Jinchun had also spotted Chu Jiao. Although Zhong Jinchun didn't know Chu Jiao well, she could figure out that Chu Jiao was never a charitable person.
Perhaps this woman was behind everything that had happened to Chu Qiao before. The thought of it sent shivers down Zhong Jinchun's spine. It was unfortunate that Chu Qiao had to deal with such a woman!
She felt even more indignant. After all, a kind person like Chu Qiao didn’t deserve the way Chu Jiao treated her. But now that Chu Qiao lived in the Prince Palace, she could never be free from the entanglement.
"Sister, why didn’t you speak to Sister Chu Jiao?"
Chu Qiao didn't expect Zhong Jinchun would ask such a question. She didn't know what happened between Chu Jiao and her either. She just felt that Chu Jiao had been plotting against her all the time, so there was no need to be nice to her any longer.
"Nothing. Even biological sisters could drift apart and become strangers over time."
Zhong Jinchun was a smart woman, so based on Chu Qiao's words, she believed that her previous guess was probably right.
So, she gently pulled Chu Qiao's sleeve and said to her in a low voice, "Sister, I don't know how to put it. My intuition tells me that something wasn’t right. Those accidents... I can't help but think that someone was behind them, and this person seems to be inside this Prince Palace with us!"
Chu Qiao immediately interrupted Zhong Jinchun. She believed that knowing too much was no good for Zhong Jinchun, and in fact, it might bring about her own doom, so Chu Qiao immediately cut in.
"I know you are smart and considerate, but I still have to advise you that sometimes you don't have to be so smart, or you might fall victim to your own wits!"
Staring at Chu Qiao from a distance, Chu Jiao heard Chu Qiao's merry laughter which was driving her mad with the poison of jealousy.
Chu Qiao was like the spring sun, blazing and giving off light to the world. However, she could only stay in the shadow, envying her quietly.
"Chu Qiao, one day I will make you taste the bitterness of betrayal! Don't you ever smirk again! "
Hearing this the servant girls around her were frightened and started trembling, for their master was definitely not an easy game.
At night, a servant girl stealthily knocked on Zhong Jinchun's door. Zhong was startled, but she still opened her eyes and asked.
"Who is it?"
"Madam, it’s me!" Hearing this, Zhong Jinchun quickly opened the door and whispered to the servant girl.
"What's the matter that urges you to come to me late at night? Is there something going on with Chu Jiao? "
The servant girl signaled Zhong Jinchun to keep quiet and looked around before entering Zhong Jinchun's room. Then she closed the door behind her cautiously.
She said, "I don't even know where to begin. Chu Jiao is such a vicious woman. She saw you two hanging out in the garden the other day, and she murmured to herself that she would make Chu Qiao taste the bitterness of betrayal. I'm afraid you might be in danger, so I came here as soon as I could to inform you!"
Zhong Jinchun nodded. By now she had gained enough knowledge of Chu Jiao’s character: Chu Jiao was born envious. Therefore, she would make anyone who led a better life than hers suffer.
Zhong Jinchun knew that she was in the line of fire this time, so she nodded to the servant girl and said comfortingly,
"You just keep a low profile and stay safe. I will transfer you back once I had the chance. Thank you for coming here tonight to warn me!"
The servant girl shook her head and held Zhong Jinchun's hand, "Without you, I wouldn't even be standing here today. I'm just returning the favor!"
Having said that, the servant girl left and returned to Chu Jiao's place.
Zhong Jinchun couldn’t fall back to sleep afterwards. Instead she sat quietly in her room, wondering how she could avoid the hidden danger. She was at her wit's end when she heard a sudden knock on the door again. Zhong Jinchun was surprised at how busy she was tonight.
"Who is it?"
Chu Qiao answered loudly outside the door.
"It’s me!"
Zhong Jinchun breathed a sigh of relief. It's Chu Qiao! She came to open the door as she whispered.
"How come you came here this late at night?"
Chu Qiao sighed. She hugged Zhong Jinchun tightly and whispered,
"Somehow I just feel upset tonight, and you’re the one I feel like talking to. Is it a bad time?"
