It took a couple of weeks to make sure that the whole preparation for the event went off without any issues.
And to make sure that everything was in the right place and that everyone had the invitations when they arrived.
Lot of things have changed during the time of peace when Ares came back from the war. His stress and his fatigue caught up to him including his wounds he sustained on the battlefield.
Everything caught up to him and he died because of it. And soon enough Thalia followed her mate.
She could not have continued on without her mate so the children from them had to go on.
Eros is the first born son of the family so he became the head of the family skipping his older sister because that's how the tradition has always been.
For him, trying to balance being blind and the head of the family was becoming very difficult for him and his siblings could see it.
His siblings and his cousins were hoping that during the event he could find his mate.
If he can find his mate then things will be easy for him. It will be easier for all of them when they find their mate.
But Eros was having difficulties about the blindness, he had everything changed so he could read the correct way, in Braille. Eros wanted nothing to the event but his brothers forced him to go.
His brother, Anthony helped him get ready for the ball. Anthony helped him get the medals on the fitted suit.
" why I have to wear these?" Eros said as he felt the cold medals.
" because it is required to, the king wants it. And besides, you should show off your medals. What you did in the war is extraordinary. And as your younger brother I am very proud of you." Anthony said
" Oh shut up" Eros said with a small smile coming on his face.
Both of the brothers left the room heading Outdoors getting into vehicles that will take them to the Royal House where the King is, their cousin for the ball.
Eros was not looking forward to this night but he has no choice because he is the head of the family.
He has to show maturity and leadership, everything is placed on his shoulders. And he is at the age to have a mate, so sooner the better.
The vehicles all moved along in a fine line, Eros and his brother Anthony got out of their car heading towards the front door. But Eros stopped walking because he smelled something that got his attention.
He was drawn to the smell, he became attractive to the smell and he wanted to know where it was coming from.
Eros -
I had to stop myself from walking because I smelled that wonderful smell, crushed lemons with vanilla had my mouth watering. And I knew right then what I was smelling was my mate.
I had this Primal urge to find her and to keep her by my side. And no one can see her. She is mine and only mine, I tried to point out where the smell is coming from.
" Are you okay? " Anthony said
" I smell her."
" Smell who?" Anthony asked confused
" My mate" Eros spoke
" For real?!" Now that is exciting!" Anthony shouted
" Help me find her." Eros spoke
" Hold on, if you can smell her then for sure she can smell you. Just give it a moment." Anthony said
Eros wanted to punch his brother but he knew that he was right. The moment got better when a stunning girl came out of the royal home because she smelled her mate was near.
