Chapter 113
“Why are you kissing me?"
Pearly was hanging on his back. He was carrying her up to the floor where his unit was located.
"Why are you doing this?"
He didn't respond, even though she had been talking non-stop. She was drunk and saying all sorts of things. He was trying to restrain himself from reacting, from giving her a spanking for getting herself drunk.
Damn it. He almost killed that Judas at the club earlier.
She was hitting his back, but it lacked strength. "You're kissing me, but you don't love me!"
As soon as they got out of the elevator, he immediately brought her into his unit. It was the first time he had set foot in his condo in a while, because he didn't want to take the heavily intoxicated Pearly back to the mansion. He put her down on the bed.
"Hmm... soft..." The woman immediately rolled over. Her eyes were half-closed, and she was giggling. God, she was so pretty.
He opened the air conditioner because the room suddenly felt hot. He got a glass of water and a towel, then went back to her. He pulled her
into his arms.
Pearly's half-closed eyes opened. "Hey... Why are you kissing me there, huh..."
Her sultry look went straight into his heart. Oh, how he missed her. There were times when he wanted to kiss her, hold her in his arms, but he restrained himself. But now, being close to her and alone in a place was torture for him. He could smell her intoxicating sweetness, and it was making him ache for her.
He massaged his head and composed himself. He took a deep breath before wiping her forehead and neck.
She was surprised and weakly pushed him away.
He wiped her cheeks, neck, and arms. He laid her down and un
buttoned her blouse until her lacey bra was exposed. Jaden Gabe swallowed hard.
"What are you doing?"
He didn't pay attention to her. He continued unbuttoning her blouse. He could see half of Pearly's body. Her chest, flat stomach, and smooth skin. Goddamn it.
"Judas..." Pearly moaned.
He stopped wiping her. His senses suddenly pricked."
Judas..."
"He's not here," he hissed.
"Where's Judas?" She pushed his hand away, holding the towel. "Where is he? I'll go back to Judas!"
"Shut up."
She furrowed her brow and looked at him. "Give me back to him! Who are you?!"
He got annoyed. "Will you stop?"
"Judas..." she moaned and shook her head. "There's a man harassing me! Help me, Judas!"
"Stop it, Pearly." He frustratingly clenched his teeth. He was on the verge of baring his fangs.
"I love Judas! Whoo! I love Judashhh! I love—"
He stopped her by lifting her and taking her to the bathroom.
"What are you doing?! Put me down! I don't want to!" He put her down on the tiles but didn't release her from his waist.
He turned on the shower and directed it at her. She shivered from the cold water.
"Jaden Gabe!!!" Pearly screamed.
He turned the shower up, making it even colder.
Pearly scratched, kicked, and slapped him. She tried to escape, but he didn't let go.
The redness on her cheeks disappeared. She regained her senses and now looked at him sharply while struggling. "You're really mean!"
He hugged her tightly. Her sweet essence filled his nostrils, and Jaden Gabe moaned. "Don't move." He scolded her as she continued to struggle.
"Let me go!" The more Pearly moved, the more she pressed her soft body against him.
"I said stop moving. You're making me hard." He told her, making her stop moving. He gripped her ass and pressed his aching manhood into her belly.
When she looked at him, Pearly's eyes widened.
Then he let her go. She almost fell to the floor, but he caught her again by the waist. He grabbed a towel and wrapped it around her. He led her out of the bathroom.
"Where am I?" She blinked and looked around.
"My condo," he replied curtly.
Her eyes widened again, and she pulled away from him. He let her go. He left her clinging to the wall. It only took him two seconds to return from the kitchen with a tray containing a glass of water, aspirin, and a steaming cup of coffee.
He placed it on the center table in the room. "Drink that."
She narrowed her eyes at him.
"Don't provoke me."
"I'm not afraid of you!" She shouted, even though she was shivering.
Her lips were turning white from the cold, and the carpeted floor she was standing on was wet and cold from the air conditioner.
He sighed and faced her. "See how immature you are."
****
Really?!" Pearly's neck almost snapped in anger. She glared at Jaden Gabe, who was standing a few feet away from her.
She quickly buttoned up her blouse and raised her gaze to meet Jaden Gabe's, despite the weakening effect of his stare.
Jaden Gabe's eyes were blazing. The green color of his eyes was mixed with a fiery red. "You went to the club and got drunk with a guy you can't trust. If I hadn't shown up, where do you think you would have ended up?!"
"You don't even know Judas to think that way."
"Really?" He stepped closer to her.
She recoiled. Her back hit the wall. What was his problem? Why was he interfering? She was already trying to distance herself, but now he was encroaching on her life?!
"Why are you doing this? Okay, let's say you're concerned that Judas might just be leading me on, then leave me without a proper explanation after getting what he wants. I'm telling
you, Jaden Gabe, he's not like that. He's not like you."
The corner of his mouth lifted. "How can you be certain about that, huh?"
"He asked me to marry him." She lied.
But maybe Judas did ask her? She couldn't remember. It seemed like he did. But Judas was also drunk, so she wasn't really sure. But whatever.
"Are you deaf? We're getting married." She mocked. "He asked me."
"And you agreed?" His teeth clenched.
"That's why we're getting married because I agreed. Don't you understand? I thought you were smart? Where's your brain? Did it go to your butt?" His butt was big, that's why.
The man was unfazed by her words. He still looked angry. Was he really the one who had the right to be angry?
She sighed. "You know what? I shouldn't even be here. First of all, you're my ex. So it's not good for me to be with you, especially since I'm getting married." She grabbed her bag from the floor and headed towards the door.
"Where do you think you're going?"
"You have no say in this."
"Pearly!"
She turned to him in annoyance. "Why are you interfering? What are you to me? Just an ex!" She grabbed the doorknob. "Ex. It means you have no say in my life."
Her phone rang. She leaned against the door because she felt dizzy and cold. She answered the phone. "Hello? Judas?" She looked at the screen and then at Jaden Gabe. He was looking at her seriously.
"Hello, Judas?" Her childhood friend's voice was slurred. He said he was home and had just thrown up a bucket of vomit. He was looking for her because she suddenly disappeared. It seemed that in his drunkenness, Judas had forgotten that Jaden Gabe had arrived and taken her away. "Huh? Don't leave! Stay there. I'm okay. I'll come to you. Okay. Bye!" She put the phone back in her bag and faced the door again.
"You're not going to him."
"I don't care," she whispered.
"I'm warning you."
"I'm leaving and you can't do anything about it." She opened the door.
"Don't push me, Pearly. You wouldn't like what I'm gonna do."
She ignored him. She smiled at the air as she walked out. But on her second step, her breathing suddenly became constricted.
"Ah!" she held her chest and knelt on the carpeted floor of the condo. She couldn't breathe!
When she looked up, Jaden Gabe was already in front of her. He knelt down to be at eye level with her.
"I warned you, and you didn't listen."
Tears welled up in her eyes as her breathing slowly eased.
"Hah!" she coughed as she tried to catch her breath. Tears streamed down her face as she looked at Jaden Gabe. She couldn't believe it. "I hate... you..."
His expression softened. The redness in his eyes disappeared, and he stared at her in shock.
"You're... so mean..." she sobbed. "I wish you had just killed me. I wish you had finished me off!"
Jaden Gabe stopped her from breathing! He used his power on her! How did he do that? How did he manage to hurt her?!
"You should have just killed me!" She screamed and pushed his hand away. "Or do you not want me to die because you'd rather see me suffer! You'd rather see me suffer!"
"I'm sorry!" he hugged her.
"You don't want to finish me off because you'd rather see me suffer!" She struggled to break free from his strong arms. "Well, if you killed me now, everything would be easier for me! If I died now, I'd be free from the pain you caused! You're so cruel!"
Jaden Gabe's shirt was now wet from the water and her tears. He held her tightly even as she struggled. When the heat in her chest subsided, he finally loosened his grip on her, but he still didn't let go.
She looked up at Jaden Gabe, crying. "Are you angry with me? Are you angry with me, Jaden Gabe?" she cried. "Are you doing all this because you're angry with me? Why? Did I do something to deserve this punishment?"
He shook his head and caressed her cheek. She cried even more at the sadness she saw in his green eyes.
"If I did something you didn't like, please forgive me. I didn't mean to... please forgive me. Please don't punish me anymore. It's enough, you've already gotten your revenge. It really hurts... it hurts so much."
"Zara..."
"Please, enough..."
"Shh..." He gently kissed her tear-stained eyes.
"Jaden Gabe..." she moaned and pulled him closer.
"I'm sorry..." Jaden Gabe held her chin and she closed her eyes.
She was just too foolish to hope.
But not a minute passed before she felt the warmth of his lips on hers. She clung to Jaden Gabe's strong arms as he lifted her back to the room.
When he laid her on the bed, his body joined hers. Until they removed their wet clothes and heated up the cold room.
