Chapter 90 Second date

Chapter 90 Second date
THE CLASSROOM

Twila crumpled the note and shoved it into her uniform pocket, hoping nobody would see it. She realized she had exactly twenty-eight days left of this terrifying situation before the vampire would either leave her alone or do something worse.

"Professor Clarke is putting me into a deep coma right now," Island complained in a loud whisper, resting her head on Cassian's shoulder, ignoring the teacher who was writing basic shield spells on the chalkboard.

"Just go to sleep, Princess," Cassian said softly, wrapping his arm around her chair. "I’ll wake you when the bell rings."

Twila didn’t feel sleepy at all. Her body was tense, and she could feel a burning stare drilling into the back of her neck.

She didn’t need to turn around to know it was Raiden, his eyes were tracking every tiny movement she made, watching how she breathed and how her fingers tapped against her desk.

The school bell rang loudly.

Twila grabbed her bag and stood up quickly. But before she could take a single step towards the door, a hand wrapped around her wrist.

"You aren’t going anywhere yet," Raiden growled softly, his voice deep enough to send a shiver down her spine.

He didn’t wait for her to argue. He pulled her out of the busy classroom and dragged her down the crowded hallway, ignoring Levi calling his name.

"Raiden, slow down, where are we going?" Twila gasped, practically jogging to keep up with his strides.

He didn’t answer, pulling her into a dark, empty supply closet near the stairs. He slammed the door shut behind them and locked it with a sharp click that echoed in the space.

The closet was pitch black, smelling of soap and dust. All Twila could sense was Raiden’s intoxicating scent.

He pushed her backward until her shoulders hit the wall, trapping her perfectly between the shelves and his hard body, pressing his chest against her soft breasts so she could feel his fast heartbeat.

"You’re going out with him again tonight," Raiden stated, his voice rough and tight as he gently but firmly gripped her jaw.

"It’s date number two, Raiden. I have to go," Twila whispered, her hands gripping his shirt and feeling the muscles of his stomach.

"I don’t sleep anymore, Twila," Raiden breathed heavily, leaning his face down until his lips were almost touching hers, his breath warm against her mouth. "I just lay in the dark, listening to you breathe from down the hall. I track your footsteps when you walk to class. I know what your skin tastes like, and I’m going crazy knowing he’ll be across from you."

Twila let out a soft, helpless whimper, her knees going weak as his desperate hunger overwhelmed her.

"He isn’t going to touch me, Raiden," she cried softly, looking up into his burning eyes.

"I know he isn’t," Raiden hissed, his hands sliding down her neck. "Because I’m going to make sure he knows exactly whose girl he is taking out."

Raiden crashed his mouth onto hers, kissing her with passion that knocked the air out of her lungs.

Twila kissed him back, opening her mouth and letting his hot tongue slide in. She tangled her fingers in his hair and pulled him as close as possible, she needed his touch like she needed air.

Raiden groaned into her mouth, his hands sliding down her waist. He grabbed the back of her thighs and lifted her off the ground.

Twila wrapped her legs around his waist, pinning him against her center, grinding her hips against his hard bulge through his jeans, making them both gasp in the closet.

"You feel so good," he muttered, burying his face in her neck, his mouth opening over her collarbone.

He didn’t just kiss her, he sucked hard on her sensitive skin, biting gently, pulling her skin into his mouth until a dark bruise formed on her collarbone.

"Raiden, please," Twila moaned loudly, her nails digging into his shoulders, lost in the heat and friction of their bodies rubbing together.

He moved his mouth higher, sucking another mark under her jawline, covering the vampire bite with his heat, marking her so nobody else could claim her.

His hand slid up her thigh, pushing her skirt aside. His fingers dipped under the lace of her panties, finding her completely wet for him.

"You’re going to sit across from him tonight," Raiden growled in her ear, sliding two fingers deep inside her, making her scream his name quietly into his shirt. "And you’re going to feel my hands on your skin the whole time, Twila."

He pumped his fingers quickly, rubbing his thumb over her clit, pushing her to the edge of an orgasm.

"Please, Raiden," Twila begged, her hips bucking against his hand, desperate for release.

But just as she was about to shatter, Raiden pulled his fingers out, letting her legs fall back to the floor.

Twila gasped, her chest rising and falling as she looked up at him with wide, frustrated eyes. Her body was aching for him to finish what he started.

"Have a good time on your date, Psycho," Raiden smirked, his dark, sexy smile showing confidence. He kissed her swollen lips one last time before stepping back and unlocking the door.

He walked out into the hallway, leaving her standing in the dark, her whole body aching for him.

THE GIRLS DORMITORY

"You look like you just got run over by a train," Island commented dryly, sitting on Twila's bed and pointing at Twila's neck. "You can’t wear a normal shirt tonight, Twila. Your neck looks like a crime scene."

Twila stared at herself in the bathroom mirror, her face turning red. Raiden had left dark purple hickeys on her collarbone and jawline, bold marks that screamed who she belonged to. She tried to cover them with foundation, but it was too dark.

"Just put this on and be quiet," Island said, tossing a long-sleeved black turtleneck sweater onto the bed, along with tight black jeans and boots. "It hides the bruises and makes you look like a badass."

Twila dressed quickly, pulling the turtleneck up to hide Raiden's marks.

She grabbed her bag, took a deep breath to calm her racing heart, and walked to the front gates of the Academy to meet Niles.

THE CITY

Niles leaned against his car, wearing a dark grey coat, his hands shoved into his pockets. He looked handsome under the streetlights, but his eyes seemed tired.

"You look beautiful," Niles said softly, opening the passenger door for her.

"Where are we going tonight, Niles?" Twila asked, sliding into the seat.

"Somewhere quiet," Niles replied with a small, genuine smile, closing the door and walking around to the driver's side.

He drove them deep into the city, stopping in front of an ancient library that was closed to the public.

Niles didn’t knock, he easily picked the lock on the doors and pulled her inside.

"We are breaking into a library?" Twila asked, looking around the massive rows of books, actually feeling a little bit excited.

"I rented the whole place out for the night, I just like breaking the locks for fun," Niles laughed, leading her up a huge staircase.

They reached the very top floor, walking out onto a beautiful glass balcony that overlooked the entire sparkling city skyline. A small table was set up with warm coffee, sandwiches, and a pile of old, fascinating human history books.

"I know you love to read, Twila," Niles said quietly, pulling her chair out for her. "I figured this was way better than sitting in a crowded, noisy restaurant pretending to be normal."

Twila sat down, looking at the books, feeling an unexpected wave of appreciation. He had actually paid attention to her hobbies, he didn't just throw money at her, he planned something she genuinely liked.

"This is really amazing, Niles," Twila admitted, picking up her coffee cup and smiling.

Niles sat across from her, hiseyes softening completely as he watched her relax, happy just to be in her presence.

But as Twila reached across the table to grab a book, the collar of her sweater slipped down just a tiny inch.

Niles's sharp eyes instantly caught the hickeys sitting right on her collarbone.

His smile completely vanished, his jaw clenching so tight a muscle popped in his cheek, his eyes turning dark.

Niles stared at the nasty mark Raiden left on her skin, realizing that Raiden had marked his mate right before the date just to rub it in his face.
