Chapter 132 Distributing the archive
CHAPTER 132: DISTRIBUTING THE ARCHIVE

“You?”

Elias pointed suspiciously at Lyor. “I think I know you.” The little boy narrowed his eyes as he walked to the older man. “Your voice sounds so familiar.”

Isabella recovered, using the distraction to dry her tears and faking a smile. “How do you know him, baby?” Her voice was back to normal.

Elias shook his head, confusion setting on his face. “I don't really know.” He glanced at his parents, beckre glancing at the stranger who was seated with them, a smirk plastered on his face.

Isabella frowned at Lyor. “You're obviously enjoying your little game.”

The man shrugged, stroking his beard. “Won't be bad to catch some fun once in a while, would it?”

Elias’s face lit up in excitement. “Knew it. You're the voice.”

It was Lucien's turn to frown. “What voice, little man?”

Elias scratched his head, looking from one parent to another. “Er…” he stammered. “The same voice that made me go into the library.” He pointed in the other direction.

Lucien's frown creased. “You got into his head.” He stood, ready to attack, only remembering at the last moment that Elias was present in the room.

Lyor raised his hands in defence. “I had to. They had plans to attack the library and destroy the archives.”

“When you mean ‘they,’ you're not talking about the leaders of the ancient faction, are you?” Isabella frowned, anger rising in her chest. “They signed an agreement!”

“Calm down fiery princess.” Lyor joked. “You forced the man into signing an agreement, not his people. They do not want him to lead.”

Isabella looked away. “That's fine by me. There's always a way to demand obedience. A way that has proven effective over time.”

She turned to Lyor. “Doesn't make it any better that you had to get into his head.”

Lyor nodded solemnly. “I agree. I'm sorry.”

Isabella waved off his apology. The deed had already been done. She turned to Elias and realised he was watching them in amazement. Scratch that, he was watching Lyor in amazement, respect filling his eyes. They were only just a part of his bigger lens.

“You said you would teach me some tricks when you come.” Elias moved closer to the older man, reaching out to touch his palms.

“Elias!” Isabella called firmly. She could see that her son was clearly smitten by a relative he'd come to know before her.

“Sorry, Mommy.” Elias recoiled, but didn't move an inch. He turned back to Lyor. “That was rude of me. Can I touch you?”

Lyor was impressed with the little boy's manners, looking briefly at Isabella for permission. He was the boy's granduncle, but Isabella was his mother.

Isabella blinked, giving her slight approval. She'd shouted unconsciously at Elias, fearing for his safety, but her boy had taken it absolutely well.

“The tricks?” Elias’s little voice filled the room again, drawing the adults out of their thoughts.

“What do you want to know?” Lyor asked, taking a sip of the water that had been served to him. He seemed to be smitten by the little boy so much that he couldn't ignore him, even if he wanted to.

Elias cocked his head as if he'd just been told to make a wish by a genie. “How do you get into people's heads? It sounds so cool.”

Lyor spluttered, coughing. He'd never heard of such a request. “You really think that's the best request to make, young lad?” He peered into the little boy's eyes.

Elias nodded, his resolve firm. “I know it sounds crazy, but there's no need to fight them when I can get them to do all I want, wherever I am.”

Isabella rolled her eyes. Elias was exactly like Lucien, in more ways than she could count.

She looked at Lucueny, who was smiling proudly for help, but changed her mind. She could see it in his eyes. He was absolutely proud of the boy.

Lyor groaned behind them. “That's not possible, little man. It comes with the age.”

Elias recoiled. “Oh,” he muttered, picking up his book. “It's a shame then. I also would have loved to show you a trick of mine.”

Isabella raised a brow. Her little boy was about to play an ancient elder and he had not clocked him. She tapped Lucien. “Are you seriously going to watch this happen?”

Lucien chuckled then shrugged. “Have no choice of my own really.”

Isabella opened her mouth and closed it, shaking her head. She was outnumbered and there was absolutely no way to stop what was about to happen.

“Tricks?” Lyor glanced at Elias like he was some spluttering fool. “What tricks can a boy your age, possibly know?”

Elias’s expression was smug. “That's a shame, cause if you look down at your feet, you'll realise I just untied your lace and have tied your feet.”

The three grown-ups looked down almost immediately, their eyes rounding in amazement. Lucien was filled with pride.

“How?” Lyor was the first to break the silence. “You're little.” He tried to move, but realised his feet were stuck on the ground.

“You can't move even if you wanted to,” Elias said, sticking out his tongue. “It's such a shame, really.” He shook his head sorrowfully, picking up his book.

Isabella held her laughter as she watched the interaction between the two men. This was better than hilarious. It was taking a whole lot of control not to burst out in laughter.

“Wait!” Lyor called out in horror. “You can't go.” He pointed at his feet. “What's going to happen to my legs?”

Elias shrugged. “Can't undo it actually. It comes with the age.”

Isabella spluttered. Now, this was the real deal.

“Okay, fine,” Lyor admitted, stopping the seven-year-old before he stepped out. “I'll teach you. Just get me out of these things.” He pleaded.

Elias paused, turning back to study the older man. “Promise?”

Lyor rolled his eyes, hesitating for a little bit. “It's not a promise, but…”

Elias already turned. “Okay, okay,” Lyor said hurriedly. “I promise.” He muttered some words under his breath.

Elias moved slowly toward him. “Going back on your word has its disadvantages. For one, I could tie you up when we're standing in the middle of the garden.”

Lyor’s eyes widened with horror as Elias explained in much graphic detail, the things he could do if he was double-crossed.

“That's not gonna happen.” He promised, stepping out of the ropes that had kept him captive for the last ten minutes.

“I know it won't,” Elias said with so much certainty that it made Isabella shake her head in amusement.

She watched as they walked to the door, ready to try out the tricks in the garden.

Lyor stopped, turning back. “You raised a fine young man, Isabella Thorne.” He nodded respectfully, looking at the archive on the table.

“And if I heard correctly from earlier, I'd suggest you distribute the archives. Page by page, letter by letter till every clan has gotten a print.”

His words took Isabella by surprise as she studied him. “You really think that's a good idea?”

Lyor shrugged. “Sameen would have loved that.” He turned, grabbing Elias's hands as they exited the room.

“Well, well well,” Lucien whistled as he wrapped his arms around her. “So much for not knowing what to do.”

Isabella snuggled into his embrace, allowing herself to sniff every aspect of his cologne. “What the hell happened here?”

Lucien smirked. “You really want to relive your experience or you would love to do some fun things?”

Isabella could feel her insides jumping. “What fun thing would that be, Mr Blackthorn?” She murmured seductively in his ears.

Lucien's smile was mischievous. “As much as I want what you're offering, the fun thing I was talking about would be to dispatch the letters.”

“Oh,” the words were cold out of her mouth as she stared at Lucien who had just played her. “Didn't know you…”

“Lucien Blackthorn!” Isabella was on the verge of screaming as she realised Lucien was teasing her. “Nice of you to play with my emotions.”

Lucien chuckled, putting some space between them. “Didn't realise your admission to wanting me to fuck you hard and crazy is playing with your emotions.”

Isabella swallowed. She loved it whenever Lucien spoke raw.

“But,” Lucien continued, his voice low as he walked to her, whispering in her ears. “Definitely won't be bad to hit some strokes and have you scream my name.”

Isabella could feel her insides soaking. She peered into his eyes to be sure it was not another one of his pranks. “You sure about this?” As she spoke, her hands were wrapped around his waist, unbuckling his belt.

Lucien's hands stopped her, mischief clearly in his eyes. “Wanna know what I'm sure about?”

“What?” His voice was alluring to Isabella and she couldn't help but lean in.

“The archives baby. We have to dig in now.” His hands tapped her nose playfully as he jogged away from her.

“Get ready to be killed, Lucien Blackthorn,” Isabella muttered. She couldn't believe she'd been fooled twice.
