“What's going to happen now?” Isabella muttered at nobody. She was barely thinking out loud.

“What do you want to happen?” Lucien asked her instead.

“I don't know.” She blinked the tears back, biting her lips. “It's one thing to know the truth, it's another thing to spread it.”

She leaned into him, breathing his cologne. “What would you do if you were me?”

Lucien opened his mouth, confused.

“Please don't lie to me. I'm not sure my heart can take any more distrust.” She interrupted. “I wanna hear your genuine plans.”

Lucien cleared his throat, tipping her jaw with his fingers so she would look into his eyes. “First things first, Isabella Thorne, I would never lie to you. Not now, not ever.”

Isabella looked down, shame clouding her eyes, but Lucien was far from over. His grip was firm on her face, forcing her to keep looking at him.

“Second is, what I say may not really be what you wanna hear. I'm pretty sure you have plans.” His grip softened, letting her pull away.

She looked away. “Yeah, you're right.” Realisation dawned on her. “We have different realities and would obviously have different approaches to it.”

Lucien curled his lips. “You've got something in mind. Let's hear it.” He prompted.

Isabella hesitated. “It's not aligned and scattered. My thoughts I mean.” She added, realising that Lucien was looking at her strangely.

He smiled, hearing her try to explain herself. “I've seen you in your worst states, Isabella Thorne.” His smile turned mischievous. “Seen you in your most vulnerable, begging and pleading…”

“Lucien.” Isabella cut in, her face flushed red.

“Fine,” Lucien acquiesced. “What I'm saying is, I'd give anything to hear your scattered thoughts. Talk to my ears, baby. Just as long as I hear you speak.” His voice turned flirty. “You've been awfully quiet.”

She managed a smile. “That's so sweet.” She muttered, holding her heart dramatically. “What do I want?” She wondered out loud.

“You know what's funny?” She turned abruptly to Lucien, making him groan inwardly. If there was one thing he was sure of, it was that she was going to be philosophical about her plans.

“Say a different scenario, involving battles and elders, I always know what to do.”

Lucien sighed in relief, his relief not escaping Isabella's eyes. “I saw that, Lucien Blackthorn,” Isabella said in mock horror. “You really think I'm that predictable, don't you?”

“Well,” Lucien drawled, cocking his head to the side dramatically. “When you put it that way, I've got no other choice than to agree.”

Isabella snickered, her gaze returning to the window, grateful for the slight distraction.

“Thank you,” she muttered, her expression back to being serious.

“For what?” Lucien frowned, rocking her slowly.

Isabella inhaled, already feeling the arousal. “I know I've been difficult. You've been quite patient.”

“Quite?” Lucien asked, feigning anger. “That's a specific choice of word, Ms Thorne.”

Isabelka shrugged. “I’m afraid it's no fault of mine that you see it that way, Mr Blackthorn. You're easy to figure out.” She played along, already feeling the worry lines in her forehead, starting to disappear.

Lucien chuckled, enjoying the role-play between them. “That's one way to put it, Ms Thorne. “What do you say about describing my next move?”

Isabella stepped away from him, shaking her head. “Elias is a few feet away from us, Lucien Blackthorn.” Her voice was stern, even though her eyes constantly moved to his crotch, showing her hunger.

Lucien shrugged. “That's easy. I could send him back to his room immediately.” His voice was stern, as he glanced at Elias, who was focused on the book he'd been reading.

“Oh my God, Lucien.” Isabella held his arm quickly. “You're not about to be a bully to our son, are you?” She shook her head, holding our laughter.

“A bully?” Lucien looked like he'd just been insulted. “He could simply give us the space we need.” He leaned into her, hot breath in her ears. “To explore. Pretty sure we've not done it in here before.”

Isabella’s eyes widened in horror as she looked in Elias's direction, a cunning smile forming on her face. “Tell you what?”

“What?” Lucien asked hurriedly, his voice impatient.

“Calm down, Mister,” she teased, enjoying the show between them. “How about we finish the business here and go back to having fun.” She glanced briefly at the archive on the table.

Lucien groaned, rolling his eyes. How could he not have seen the trap incoming? Isabella could be trickish when she wanted.

He closed his eyes. “That's gonna be impossible.” He said, opening them to meet her smile. “This little man here,” he pointed at his crotch is not allowing me to think clearly.”

Isabella giggled at the frustration on his face, relieved at the distractions. She could already feel a headache coming.

“That's a shame, really.” She murmured into his ear. “Here I was, already fantasising about the strokes and a new position I read about in the library some days ago.”

Lucien frowned. “Tell me about the position,” his lids curled beautifully. “Ot may just be the one thing that has the power to make me think clearly.”

Isabella’s laugh filled the room, her chest heaving with genuine laughter. This was funny in every sense of the word. “Yeah, sure.” She teased.

Lucien pursed his lips. “I'm serious.” He reached for her hand, leading it covertly to his balls, both of them aware of the little man behind them.

“Starve me further and I'm only going to have blue balls.”

Isabella froze, her hands still on his crotch. “Is that a thing? You're not gonna have blue balls, are you?” She asked, looking into his eyes.

Lucien held his laughter, keeping a straight face. “Can't believe you don't know blue balls are actually a thing.” His voice was accusatory.

Isabella blinked guiltily, not taking her gaze away from the bulge in his trousers. “What do we do?”

“I can't believe you fell for it.” Lucien couldn't keep his laughter within himself as he burst out. “This was so fun to do.”

Isabella frowned. “There's nothing like blue balls?” She couldn't believe her ears. “You had me worried all for nothing?” She looked like she was genuinely pissed.

Lucien chuckled, his laugh subsiding. “That was so fun.” He stroked her hair. “Can't believe how innocent you are.” He continued.

Isabella backed away from him. “Nice try.” She paused, hesitating slightly. “Was that also a prank?” Her gaze moved to the bulge.

“Did it look like one?” Lucien asked genuinely. He guided her hand to it. “Feel it?”

Isabella looked like she had just been electrocuted. “I don't know what to believe anymore.” This time around, she kept a straight face as she looked at Lucien who had widened his eyes in horror.

“Stop staring at me that way.” She kept the act, stepping away from him and returning to her position by the window. “We don't know what to believe anymore. For all I know, you could just be faking it.”

“Careful, Isabella Thorne.” Lucien's voice was raspy. He knew she was playing the same game he had been playing earlier.

“Hey Honey,” Isabella called Elias, ignoring Lucien. “Do you mind having to call Hampton for me?”

“What game are you playing, Isabella Thorne?” The words came out through his teeth. He was barely holding himself together.

“Now?” Elias frowned. “I'm really enjoying this scene, Mom.”

“It's really important, honey.” Isabella pressed, not backing down. From her six o'clock, she could see Lucien watching their interactions through gritted teeth.

“Okay.” Elias gave in, standing up as he picked up the book along with him.

“Thank you honey,” Isabella cooed as she watched him leave the room, turning to Lucien the moment the doors closed behind him.

“Blue balls, isn't it?” She walked seductively to him, flicking his belt. “Never heard that in my life.” She squeezed the balls tightly, from Lucien's brief, making him hiss loudly.

“Isabella Thorne.” Lucien hissed. “You're playing a dangerous game.”

“Am I?” She raised her brows innocently. “I was only trying to see if that was real.” She pointed at Lucien's long cock.

“Really?” Lucien mocked. “And now that it's real, what are you going to do about it?”

“Do about it?” She asked innocently, drawing closer to him. “Is it like this?” Her hands curved his edge perfectly, squeezing it momentarily.

“Or this?” She bent briefly as her tongue took a swipe at his cap.

“Which of them?” She was back up in an instant, looking at him with innocent eyes.

“You really wanna play this game?” Lucien groaned as he reached for her, turning her over in an instant.

It was Isabella’s turn to be taken by surprise at being over the table. “Elias.” She gasped, the words hanging in her throat as Lucien’s fingers found her clit, digging into her hole.

“He knows not to come back.” He growled, tearing her dress as he filled her up in one thrust, the archive forgotten.
