Chapter 41 CHAPTER FORTY TWO
ROMAN’S POV
When Roman came back the next morning, he sat with his parents. He had thought about it, and staying at the pack with Emily and Stefan was something his young heart couldn’t take.
His father had smiled widely when Roman had suggested he went to the training boarding school for Betas and Alphas.
The training school was one of the toughest, with different Alphas and Beta from all over the world. His father had always wanted to send him there, but Roman had threatened to run away if he did, now Roman saw every reason why he belonged there.
In three days time, Roman was standing in front of his house, his parents and Bella beside him. His small suitcase was on the floor, as they waited for the car that would come pick him up.
Roman glanced around, he had begged his parents to make it private, yet a part of him wanted to see Emily one last time. He glanced up at the approaching car, tapping his legs nervously as he thought about his decision once more.
He didn’t want to leave Emily, he had promised Chiara to help her. But right now, the pain was so much that the only solution was to go away. He wasn’t giving up, he just needed to train himself better.
He exchanged goodbyes with his family, before leaving. Roman glanced from the mirror as they drove out of the pack, already missing everything and everyone. He sighed, blinking back the tears in his eyes, before resting his back against the car seat.
Roman can’t tell how long they drove, but eventually they reached a large gate. He glanced in amazement at the large buildings, different students engaging in different sports, It was like a whole other word.
Roman came down from the car, before grabbing his suitcase. He was ushered into the principal office, Roman glanced around taking in the principal. The man was tall, dark, and towering over Roman. They spoke for a while, Roman going through their rules and regulations.
He was given his schedule and in no time was already settled into his room. He appreciated the fact that each of them had their own room, with an en suite bathroom.
Roman sighed, unpacking all his stuff before arranging them where he wanted, he skimmed through his schedule, cramming everything, before heading toward the shower.
According to his schedule, he had to be in the mess hall in about 30 minutes. He quickly did his business, before putting on something simple. Roman didn’t want to arrive late, this was his first day and he needed to be early so he could figure out how the system works.
He looked at his schedule again, reading the directions once more, before leaving his room.
Roman walked down the long hallway, boys running around. He admired the structure of the building, nodding his head at a few boys in greeting. Luckily for him, everything was properly labeled, making it easier to locate everywhere.
He arrived at the mess hall, nervous, before breathing in. He had to walk in with his head high, if not he would be chewed out. Before he could open the door, someone else did. He looked at the boy by his side, a tall fair blonde haired tall guy. They greeted themselves, before walking into the hall.
The hall was halfway crowded, boys and girls everywhere. Roman knew the school was mixed, but he thought the girls had their own hall.
Roman took his position on the already long line, he selected the food he wanted when he got to his turn, before finding a quiet seat. He ate his food quickly, observing the way each student had formed their own cliche. Typical he thought, shaking his head. It was just like his old school, the only difference was the Mancho ego flying around.
After eating, they all assembled at the orientation hall, waiting for the head of the school to welcome the newcomers.
Roman sat close to the blonde boy he had met earlier, exchanging pleasantries, before discussing about random stuff.
The boy who introduced himself as Richie told him about the rules of the school, before telling him about stuff that was done codely. Roman just simply smiled, nodding his head with disinterest.
He wasn’t really interested in whatever Richie rambled about, but he welcomed the distraction. The hall became quiet as a short man, with black hair and tailored suits entered into the hall. Roman didn’t need to be told, from the man commanding presence, Roman could tell he was who the school had been waiting for.
The man introduced himself as flinch Black, his sharp eyes roaming around the hall. He gave his speech, welcoming them into the school, before stating the rules again.
He ended his speech, calling on different teachers to introduce themselves, and what they would be teaching.
Roman didn’t blame most of the teachers who spoke like they were forced. As much as they were the teachers, they still served most of the prestigious heirs to many packs.
He had hollers from horny boys as a slender beauty with dark red hair and angelic face introduced herself. She blushed furiously at some of the words hollered at her, before Mr Flinch took the stage, quieting the crowd.
Roman sighed, folding his hands over his chest. The lady reminded him so much of Emily, his thoughts wandered, going towards that day, the day that had brought him here.
His chest hurt from just the thought of her alone. He wondered if she had learned of his travel. Briefly, he consoled himself by imagining how heartbroken she would feel.
As much as she was mated to Stefan, Roman knew she was still his mate. One of the reasons he had come here was not just to strengthen himself, but to learn about Emily’s wolf.
He didn’t know how possible it was for a wolf to have two mates. He needed to branch out, find answers he could not get from remaining in his pack.
He sighed, looking up as a new teacher introduced himself.
Roman paused, shock on his face.
This man, Roman thought, that gory night flashing before his eyes. He stared at the man who introduced himself as Castor Kinsley, he would never forget his face, his blank face, as he stabbed Miss Falcon to death.
