Chapter 144 CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY FIVE

Chapter 144 CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND FORTY FIVE
EMILY’S POV

I felt a bit better when I woke up. For one, I wasn’t sure if I even did wake up. My body was heavy, and my eyes didn’t really want to open. But I didn’t mind because the pain was also much easier to bear. It was…. It was a very numb kind of pain. I was so fine with that, no complaints at all.

Compared to the horrible pain in my entire torso earlier, this was much fucking better.

I moved my head a little to take a look around, but my mind was just as dull as the pain, so it took me a while to understand the things I was seeing. For one, everything was brighter and someone was making some weird sounds somewhere close.

But even more, there was a rack above me, hanging from it was a clear bag of liquid.

Shit, another IV bag?

How much wolfsbane was that fucker intending to pump me with?

For a while, I just stared at the bag for no particular reason. My brain just paused, while I just stared at the bag, watching as it dripped slowly down the tube, straight to my hand.

I turned my head, blinking at the ball of dark hair bent over me, poking my stomach.

Shit… was I drugged, seeing things because I blinked again, and the figure was gone.

I turned to stare at the IV drip, wondering if it was even wolfsbane or something else.

I felt dull, really dull like my senses where being surpressed.

I turned again, frowning as the vision of Antonio became clearer.

“Good morning sunshine,” he greeted out cheerfully.

“Bloody fucker.” I mumble out, turning my head away from him.

“You are one lucky girl.” Antonio mumble, poking my stomach again.

I moaned out, shifting a bit from his hands poking at my stomach.

“It’s been five days and you are not dead yet. Pumped full with wolfsbane, and a silver bullet in your leg. Hmmm, I wonder if this is one of the perks of being a true Alpha.”

“I wonder how long you can hold out for.” he murmurs, staring at me with hateful eyes.

“Why?” I whispered out, licking my dry chapped lips.

“Because you are just a lowlife little girl, given something you can’t handle or make use of. I wonder what the moon goddess saw in you.” Antonio sneered out.

“What….?” I moaned out drowsily.

Antonio laughed hard, “can’t say anything huh, that’s because that bag over there is drugged, we don’t want you astral projecting to your friends now huh.”

I turned towards him, my eyelids heavy. He was staring at me, with cold hard eyes.

“You’ll be a nice beautiful gift for Zed.” Antonio snarled out, before walking out the door.

Unable to hold out anymore, my eyes close, the drugs dragging me forcefully to sleep.

The next time I woke up, my mind was a little bit more alert than before. I still felt tired, and my body movements was still slow, but at least I wasn’t feeling loopy anymore. And if I didn’t move my body too much, the pain was tolerable.

Was this how humans felt, to not be able to heal yourself, just lay there in pain while your body takes months to heal.

I was still at that basement, room, dungeon. Whatever you want to call this fucking place.

I was alone, Antonio not in sight. There was a small lamp at the far end, which I was thankful for. I mean he could have left me in the dark if he wanted.

Nothing much had changed, except the camera hanging from the wall, facing me.

What the fuck? Why would he put a camera here?

I felt uneasy at that, knowing that someone or even a group of persons were behind that camera, watching me.

“How was your sleep princess?” Antonio gravitating voice rang out.

Yeah, the camera was probably one that came with sound.

This meant I wasn’t leaving here anytime soon.

“Fine,” I growled out, “it was filled with different ways I tore your limbs apart.”

Antonio chuckles out loudly, the sound echoing out from the speaker.

“Yea, keep dreaming,” he drawled out. “Anyways, today we are going to play a game. You answer my question, and you get food. If I am maybe really pleased with your answer, I could add water.”

I locked my lips, my stomach growling at the mention of food.

Shit…, when last did I eat anything?

Fuck you and your questions i really wanted to say to him, instead I nodded my head, glancing away from the camera.

Survival means losing your pride. I needed food, not just for me, but for my baby, if it had even survived.

“Very well, smart choice. I see you finally understand your situation.” Antonio says.

“Now for our first question. No, I changed my mind.” Antonio say instead.

My heart dropped. I should have known it wasn’t going to be this easy.

“I want you to show me. I heard one of your attributes is changing any part of your body at will. So show me, change. Antonio says, laughing as if what he just asked of me was even remotely funny.

I couldn’t even heal myself properly with all the wolfsbane in my body. And now, he wanted me to change, despite my injuries and the pain running through my body.

“I can’t,” I mumble out.

I was fucking hungry, but I couldn’t imagine the pain of changing right now, in my condition.

“I am waiting,” Antonio growled out.

I stood up slowly, my body bending over from the pain stabbing my stomach. I glanced down at my stomach, sighing in relief. It wasn’t anywhere totally healing, but it wasn’t as bad as before. My my legs surprisingly was healing faster with the silver bullet still inside.

I cranked my neck slowly, breathing out.

I gritted my teeth, forcing my hands to change to long bony hairy hand with sharp claws.

I breathe out slowly, flexing my hands.

Funny, I had taught it would be hard, but it was easier than I thought.

Chaira I called out.

Hello Emily she whispered out weakly.

“Fuck…, I thought you were dead, the wolfsbane, I can’t imagine the damage it’s causing you.”

“Listen Emily. I need you to find a way to change, fully. I can heal better that way.”

“I will Chaira,” I promised.

“Wow….,” Antonio breathed out.

“Ok, that’s enough for today. You will get your food and water as promised.”

I changed my hands back, slumping down on the bed.

Not too long the door opened. Antonio now more cautious dropped the tray of food at the door, before leaving.

I dove at the food immediately, shame and pride gone as I shoved the food down my throat.

I was going to survive, no matter what.
