23. Epilogue

Ada's POV- 4 years later

I tried to compose myself, my hands we're sweating and 20 swear words repeated on a loop in my head. Biting down on my lip so much it almost felt bruised. I looked towards Daphne and Rosie they me a beautiful big smiles that light up the room. Yet I couldn't smile back I was too nervous to do anything. The room was immaculate, littered with white fairy lights. Nothing seemed right anymore, like I shouldn't be there, not already.

Then she walked in. Her long white flowing dress bringing me weak to my knees and the smile came to my face. Everyone turned to face her but she, she wasn't looking at anyone else... The only person Gemma could see in the whole wide world was me. I could never look at anyone else, how could I? Her hair was pinned back and curled, life seemed so perfect compared to four years ago when I lost everything.

I looked to my best maids as Gemma handed her man of honour Jack her bouquet and she joined me at the front. Grabbing onto her soft hand I looked into those deep brown eyes and knew my life was more than I'd ever asked for. "You're gorgeous." I couldn't help but stand in marvel at her, obviously I wasn't allowed to see her dress, so I wouldn't let her see my suit, it was all worth the wait.

Looking over I giggled to see my mum in fits of hysterical tears, I couldn't help but be happy as I watched her clutch onto Gemma's mums arm in happiness. Having their blessings made everything all better, Dad was a little bit shocked when he realised Gemma was my teacher... But he just hi fived me offering me a pint and we clearly had to lie to my mum about how long me and gem have actually been together. Obviously she thought the wedding a bit rash after a year but we proved our love to her with time. And Daph was just happy to be in a princess dress for the day.

Before I knew it I was smiling, crying and still had the swear words looping in my head. "Can we have the rings please?" My mind flashed back.

"You're my ring bearer I need you to bear the rings bro." I joked around to see Gemma smile a little bit more as we both took Coop in closer. Looking into her eyes I noticed something strange, her eyes turning dark and cold as I squeezed tighter to her hand. Covered in blood, sweat and tears. "Ada can we be serious?" I looked into her questioning eyes and refused to believe everything, because it's all a dream. It's all a dream. It is all a dream. "No serious is for old people Coops we've still got so much more to do you and me. When I'm old and weeing on the floor you have to clean it up. Who else is going to look after Gem when I'm gone..." Her puppy dog eyes cut through my heart and tore it up into little pieces as I felt more tears dripping down my face. "I love you Ada."

I turned to look down the end of the isle.... There she was with her new high heels which made her all the more intimidating because I was in flats. Her beautiful light green dress, I looked to Jack and his face couldn't help but light up. Cooper, alive and well bearing my rings. "I told you You'd be here for this." I spoke as she passed the priest the rings "I never said I was leaving, just wanted to scare you." We smiled as she stood beside Jack.

"I do."
