15. Idiot
Ada's POV
Feeling the time on my head, I must have fallen asleep. Looking over I saw myself in Gemma's bed... Alone. Trudging downstairs with tears still in my eyes I could see her asleep on the couch. Can't believe she wasn't even home for our anniversary. Looking around I couldn't even find my shoes or other sick for that matter. So I left.
One foot in front of the other, one pale pink sock and a bare foot with bright blue nail polish on. Bet I look like a beautiful sight on a morning. Hearing a door behind me I couldn't bare to turn around. Our anniversary! How the fuck could she forget something like that. It's as if I don't even matter, I mean for a start of I don't even know where she was or who she was with. "Ada come back please?" Her crackled tone let me know she wasn't alright. That her eyes we're probably streaming. Why the hell am I so weak to her!
"Baby you can't walk four miles in bare feet. Please can we talk about this?" I turned around to see her standing there like a backwards Bridget jones moment. Cute little knickers with a snoopy top and he cardigan. Only problem is that I don't feel like Mark Darcy right now, I feel like shit. "Leave me alone Gemma." I watched her try and run after me in her sore feet. "Fuck off Gemma!" Seemed to hit her heart strong enough. Walking away she seemed to stop in the middle of the street and cry.
Feeling the tears in my eyes I ran around the corner to see the end near. Opening the door to my front room I collapsed onto the couch. "It's okay mate, we're here." I felt Coops hand upon the top of my head as Daphne sat by my feet. Looking up I sat between them to see Rosie, Keenan. Lisa and Samantha stood there with their comforting smiles. Taking me in their arms I couldn't help but feel at home and cry some more.
Being handed a bottle of strongbow I couldn't help but feel slightly better. "The only thing I'm going to miss is the homework answers because that was the only perk of dating the teacher." Cooper laughed "that and she used to forge your work if you did too much wrong" I giggled as Bene raised a laughing hand "or she cover for you when you went out for a smoke." Samantha nodded "she'd pull you out of detention." Lisa added "or she'd get you out of trouble with other teachers" Keenan giggled "she'd always let you have the first pick out of the sweet box" before I knew it they we're all coming out. These perks. "She was constantly checking up on you in your other classes making sure your grades we're okay." "She constantly went online and changed your written reports for other teachers taking out the parts that your parents would have a go at your for."
Having enough I couldn't think "shut up! I know all the shit she did for me, why the hell was she even with me? I'm in love with her." The sudden realisation hit me as I sit slightly drunken in front of all the witnesses. "Don't you see you idiot..." Cooper slapped my arm as Bene finished her sentence "she's in love with you!" They all came out with their praises as I sit and think of how much of a fuck up I've been. Just leaving like that. We didn't even talk. Oh Gemma.
