Chapter 333 Not right!!
Chapter 333 Not right!!
Almost an hour later, a knock sounded on her door. Lindaat sighed as she looked from the door to the window.
"Come in, Brigid." Landaat sat on the bed trying to rest, but she was restless.
"It would seem you are truly the goddess adjacent." Brigid smiled brightly at her, but stopped when she saw Lindaat. "I also see you aren't happy with it."
"It isn't really that I'm not happy about it. More than everyone is looking at me like I am going to kill them all. That I will know all their secrets." With a sigh, she sat up on the bed and looked at her aunt.
"I get that all the time. It is just part of life. Most people look at me like I am insane. The thing is, they will come to me when things are a mess." Brigid created a chair to sit on by the bed.
"Well, I am going to tell you something that you won't like too much." Lindaat sighed, the goddess had so much that she needed to tell people.
"Oh, she is going to do something stupid, I see." Brigid shrugged, waving a hand toward her. "Go ahead, nothing you say can shock me."
"This one will." Lindaat took a deep breath before she turned toward Brigid. "She wants you to have triple girls to be with the triplets that Nix is going to have. The Lunda goddess decided that, since she was asked for a favor, she would have fun with it."
"What?" Brigid yelled, feeling her whole body go rigid.
"There is the look." Lindaat felt tears building in her eyes. "I told her that you wouldn't do it."
"It isn't that I won't do it. More than I have ever been with a man. How could I have children?" Birgid saw the look on her face and hated that she had lost it.
"That is something she didn't say, but I am guessing that she would find a shifter or werewolf to bed you." Lindaat looked away from her. "I told her again that this wasn't something that she could force. Also, that you are family by blood."
"That is not technically true. I don't share blood with Rayne, so that it wouldn't be an issue. The issue would be that I don't leave the realm to meet this so-called man. Over the years, I have dreamed of having children, hoping for years. Then I figured out that wasn't my calling." Brigid explained with a frown.
"Can I show you something?" Lindaat turned back toward her.
"What is it?" Brigid asked worriedly.
Lindaat held out her hand to Brigid, letting the other woman take it. When she did, the image of the triplets flashed into her mind, showing her the red head, black and white hair, and silver hair children. They all were shifters of a new kind. The moment Lindaat took her hand back, she saw Brigid crying.
"They would be mind?" Brigid asked, wiping her tears away.
"In a way, yes. They wouldn't have fae blood. That is what she has told me. It is horrible to do things like this to people. In a way, I feel like her Jiminy Cricket." Lindaat explained to her. "Wait, you have no idea what I am talking about. I am like her conscience here on earth."
"I could be a mom?" Brigid was so lost in the images that she didn't think about what Lindaat was saying. "Does Nix know?"
"Yes, and no, she doesn't yet. I have to make sure you are okay with this." Lindaat could see that Brigid was fine with being the pawn in this game. "You do understand that they would for a fox, a panda, and a polar bear."
"Yes, yes, I got that." Brigid waved a hand toward her, then felt bad to treat her like that. "I am so sorry Lindaat. I know that this is hard for you. I am just so over the moon about this. Why would she want to make a panda and a polar bear? Figured she would go with smaller animals. Such as the fox, I mean the black and white could be a lemur or zebra. The white could be almost any animal. I think a tiger would be amazing."
"Agreed, she said that it would be a fox, lemur, and tiger." Lindaat sagged on the bed. "Mom is going to lose her shit."
"That is very possible, you might want to tell her. Also, who is the man?" Brigid saw Lindaat sage on the bed. "Sweetheart, I am so sorry. You need to rest. I will leave this with you. Rest."
"Brigid, you can't tell Mom," Lindaat say down, closing her eyes.
She felt Brigid put the blanket over her as she fell into a deep sleep. When she opened her eyes, she was with the goddess again.
"Why?" Lindaat said feeling sluggish. "Why do I feel like this?"
"Because the kids are special," the goddess told her with a sigh. "Because your body hasn't adapted to the power yet. I also knew that Brigid would jump at the chance to have children."
"I still think you should have spoken to my mother about all this." Lindaat swayed then fell onto a plush chair.
"Sadly, I couldn't. The luna goddess told me it was part of the deal. I can only let you do that part. I don't know who the man is either. I fear that he won't have any power over what is happening." The goddess explained to her with a sigh.
"Then this won't happen. I won't let Brigid be with someone who isn't doing it on their own. I know how mates work, and if that is what she is to him, then I am alright with it, but he would have to leave his pack to stay with her. Brigid doesn't go to the human world." Lindaat almost screamed at the goddess power building in her. "Fix it!"
"Lindaat you love them greatly, and you want them happy. Trouble is, nothing will truly make them all happy." The goddess spoke to her in a soft tone.
"You are wrong about them. They are happy most of the time. Things like a child being taken and kept for two years will upset everyone. You just let it happen. Then all this crap with my twin and me. You did nothing to step in until it was already too late. Did you plan it that way? So you would have a better connection to the human world?" Lindaat glared at her.
"No, child, I didn't." The goddess glared at her. "You need to learn respect. Don't talk to me like that."
"Or what? Are you going to kill me?" Lindaat screamed at her, lighting stricking the ground.
"I wouldn't kill you, but I can keep you here for a while." The goddess told her with a glare. "Respect is what you need to learn. The fact that your family is broken isn't my fault."
"YES, it is!!" Lindaat screamed, throwing a ball of lightning at her."You could have stopped it!"
