Chapter 327 Not sure...

Chapter 327 Not sure...
Lindaat stood in a room full of mist; she tried to see anything other than that. When she took a step, it was like she didn't move. She didn't understand what was happening. She knew that the magic had taken a price, and it had come from her. Also, knowing that her family was right with her, not letting her be alone. It all felt so off, like she was going further and further away from her family. Knowing that the goddess had a plan didn't change her fear that she would never see them again. That she might never know who they were when and if she woke.

"Lindaat you will know your family. No matter the changes that will happen. You, however, won't be on the same level as they are."

Lindaat gasped when she heard the voice, knowing in a moment that it was the goddess. What changes did she mean? Things hadn't changed for her at the moment. At least she didn't think it had. She really wished the mist would go away; she didn't like feeling trapped. With that thought, the mist vanished, and she was standing in a large field of wild flowers; a mountain in the distance drew her attention.

"Well, that is better, but how the hell did I do that?" Lindaat spoke out loud, but she wasn't sure why.

"Lindaat you are becoming something the world hasn't seen in eons. In so many ways, you would be considered a demigoddess. The thing is, you aren't the blood of a goddess or god. So you are something very old, but new to this generation. Your grandparents will know right away what you are. The others will take time to understand. You will have to train to deal with the new powers." The goddess stood in front of her with a slight frown on her face. "This isn't how your life was supposed to go."

"Wait, you're telling me that I am like you?" Lindaat didn't understand at all what she was saying. "I figured it wasn't the way I was supposed to go, but at least my sister is alive."

"In a way, yes, you won't have the same power I have. You see, you will be..Well, I can't really give it a name." The goddess explained with a sigh. "Your twin is alive, but something is missing. You will have to give that piece back to her when you wake."

"When will I wake?" Lindaat asked, worried she would miss out on time with her family.

"At the moment, I am not sure. You have to work through the power building in your body. It could take a few weeks, or much longer. So far, your family is handling it well. Nix, on the other hand, isn't doing well. She wants to be with you, but can't right now. She would know right away that you are going to be something new. Your twin knows but can't put it into words. I have kept the King away from your room. That is a difficult task, I must say. He has so much love for his grandchildren." The goddess smiled brightly at the thought. "I have worried he would wither away, which would have left the realm in turmoil."

"I don't want to be away for longer," Lindaat told her with anger building in her heart. "I want my family."

With that feeling, lightning struck right by the goddess, burning the ground in a harsh crack. Lindaat looked at the ground, then to the goddess. Had she done that? Oh goddess, she couldn't have feelings like that, or she would kill people. Fear grew so fast that she shivered from it.

"One thing you need to learn is to control your emotions. They will always lash out. It doesn't matter if you want them to or not." The goddess explained, moving her hand, making the black mark vanish. "You will need to train to control those emotions. I would also say that your aunt would be the best one to help you. Trouble is, she is in the living realm, and I can't take her away from it."

"Which aunt?" Lindaat asked, already knowing that she meant Brigid. "She can use the astral plane."

"That is true, but she is watching Mave at the moment." The goddess sighed because she wasn't sure how to help Lindaat at the moment. Her own emotions always got in her way, making her do stupid things.

"I really don't want to stay here," Lindaat told her with a sigh. "I do better with my family. Grandpa is great at working with me and helping me to train. I think he would be able to help me."

"You are right that he would be a great teacher, but he has trouble with his emotions as well. I can't allow you to leave until I know you can handle the power that is growing in your body. Your twin will be jealous of your power, so you have to be able to deal with that as well." The goddess explained and wished this had never happened.

Lindaat looked at her, then to the ground. Sitting down on the ground, she took a deep breath, trying to ground herself. Voices danced around her as she tried to center herself. Hearing her mother, father, and sister fighting over being with her as she lay on the bed. That wasn't what she wanted to hear; they needed to see that she was alive and would wake, just not yet. Ailive looked toward the bed with a half smile. When she walked over to the bed, taking her hand, she felt her twin shift into the realm.

"You two are really amazing. That power shouldn't be possible." The goddess told them, watching as Ailive hugged her sister.

"I have no idea how I got here. I just had a feeling that Lindaat was there, not happy either." Ailive didn't let go of her sister's hand. "So you have white hair like Dad now."

"What?" Lindaat put her hands into her hair, pulling it forward, seeing that her blonde hair was now white. "Well, that is new."

"Why isn't she waking up?" Ailive looked toward the goddess.

"When the crystal was put on you to save her life, it needed payment. That payment didn't come from you. It went after the strongest in the room. You would figure it would have gone away, your mother or father. Sadly, it saw Lindaat as the strongest because she stayed strong for the family when they thought you had passed." The goddess explained with a sigh. "I had plans for you two, and now they aren't going down the path I had for you."

"Then change it." Ailive glared at the goddess.

"That is something I can't do this time. I will, from time to time, change things, but this time it is out of my hands." The goddess felt tears on her face. "I wish I could go back and change the past."

"You love to play games with us," Ailive growled out.

"Ailive!" Lindaat looked at her twin like she was insane
