Chapter 27
"Okay," he answered his friend on phone.
he who stood by his father asked if he could see his grandmother because he had heard when his mother and father were discussing his paternal grandmother so he said he wanted to see her and help her get better a nice gesture but Blaze was bothered if his mother would even as much as look at the little boy but his mother had taken a liking to the little boy so it was going to be a great gesture and also Ashlyn volunteered she was going to go with them too just for courtesy sake it was her baby's grandmother and he wanted to see her.
So they all agreed to go see her that afternoon after he had called he had been told she was in her bedroom asleep so all they needed to do was show up be nice and then leave when their visit was over.
She dressed him in jean trousers and a black tee with white tennis and paired it with a baseball cap to which he told his mother he looked superb and asked her to dress like him but she turned down the offer telling him she wanted to dress in her gown but she would pair with him in the nearest future but today she wanted to feel free he accepted and then she wore what she wanted and joint him in the sitting room after strapping him to his car seat she went to the front and they started the car she was nervous going to that mansion she dreaded seeing that woman even once.
So she kept cleaning the sweat off her forehead and noticing how tense she was he held her hand and assured her everything would be fine then they came to the open the area which was the entrance to the mansion the famous neon lights showed bright as always indicating who's mansion it was.
He went out of the car and he was unstrapped and he ran into the house even after his mother called after him but he didn't heed her calls and went straight into his grandmother's room she was asleep.
When she heard the abrupt door closing she got up thinking it was her maid and she was ready to lash out when she saw dewy eyes watching her from the couch in her bedroom at first she thought she was dreaming but when she saw her son enter after she smiled then, later on, she saw her follow behind.
"What is this woman doing here?" she asked looking quite irritated.
"She came to see you so you should be able to have the courtesy to be happy and know that some people care about you" he snapped and his mother had to curb her tongue because she knew how her son got when he was in such a situation.
She opened her hands to her grandson as she embraced him asking how he was fairing and how the school had been that week then she brought the basket of fruit they had bought on their way there she didn't know what the woman would like because she was a complicated woman who would like something now and the next minute.
They stayed around for a while with just he enjoying the company of his grandmother and he struggled to peel oranges for her while she lay down watching him do what he was doing but coaching him to be careful with the knife so he didn't have to cut himself in the process of doing that.
Then he gave her some to eat and she smiled at his gesture and took the oranges and that was how their day went on till he told her he wanted to go see his parents and also he wanted to go home he was tired.
Typical self he always doesn't want to stay in one area for an extremely long period so he told his mother he wanted to go home and so Blaze went upstairs to see his mother.
"He is a witty child and he is so caring guess he took that from his mother she is growing him well, but I still do not like her for you," she said to him, that alone was enough for him to know that his mother had begun taking a liking to her but was too proud to let her know.
Giving a kiss on his mother's forehead he left and he kissed her on her forehead and told her he loved her to which she responded and waved him goodbye. As they left to go she decided it was time to go upstairs too so she can tell her they were leaving and that was what she does although the woman didn't respond to her she knew she had tried and she left and went into the car after she had seen his mother when she came into the car he search her face to see if she had any emotion on it but she didn't show any hurt emotion or bothered emotion as she had when they had been coming to the house or when she had seen her his mother earlier with her remark as to why she had come.
