Chapter 1 Witnessing My Husband and Sister Having Sex
Nicole's POV
Wendy's lustful, sweet moans filtered through the crack in the door, followed by a heavy gasp from my husband, Shier.
"Fuck! Wendy, you're so great! I love you so much!"
"Shier, I love you too, um... faster, fuck me……"
My groom and my sister made love on our wedding bed, on my eighteenth birthday, on our wedding day.
My stomach churned, humiliation and nausea rising in my throat.
Three years ago, my biological parents brought me back to Astoria from Gardella.
They told me I was Nicole Gerald, the long-lost daughter of the Gerald family.
At that moment, I thought I had returned to my parents' arms.
But I was wrong.
When we got home, they pointed at the girl named Wendy and said, "This is your sister. We adopted her after you got lost. You have to get along well with her from now on."
Before I could say anything, Wendy's eyes welled up with tears.
"Dad, Mom, will you abandon me now that you have a sister?"
My parents hurried to comfort her, "How could that be? Sweetheart, you'll always be our most adorable daughter."
I stood by, watching the scene.
Gardella is a coastal city.
I grew up by the sea. My adoptive parents doted on me and never disciplined me harshly.
Therefore, I never learned the rules of the Gerald family, nor did I ever learn Wendy's art of flattery.
She was adept at using tears to earn her parents' affection and embrace.
And, of course, she seduced my fiancé.
In the Gerald family, I was the outsider.
The sounds of intense sex continued in the room. I frowned, wanting to leave immediately.
Suddenly, an unfamiliar heat rose from my lower abdomen, quickly spreading throughout my body.
My skin began to burn, my heartbeat inexplicably accelerated, and my breathing became rapid.
What was going on? Why was my body reacting so shamefully?
I gritted my teeth, trying to stay awake.
Suddenly, a scene flashed through my mind.
At the wedding, Wendy approached me, holding two glasses of champagne.
"Nicole, today is your wedding with Shier. I wish you happiness."
I'd never liked Wendy, but with so many guests present, I didn't refuse her.
I took the champagne she offered and took a sip.
After the toast, Wendy turned to leave, but suddenly collapsed in the middle of the hall, sending chaos into the air.
Shier roughly pushed me aside, rushed into the crowd, picked up the unconscious Wendy, and stormed out of the wedding.
I was left standing there in shock.
"What are you still standing there for? Go check on your sister!"
My mother, Doris, offered no comfort, only a harsh rebuke.
I, her biological daughter, was actually less important than an adopted daughter.
So, I chased after her, only to see this scene.
Wendy had slipped an aphrodisiac into that glass of champagne, and it was taking effect.
My nails dug into my palms, the pain bringing a slight lull to my groggy mind, but the desire within me only grew stronger, my legs weakening, barely able to stand.
"Hmm..." I moaned uncontrollably.
I could only lean against the cold wall, drawing in a bit of coolness to combat the surging heat within me that threatened to consume me.
At that moment, a deep, magnetic male voice echoed behind me.
"Nicole Gerald, you're eavesdropping on your husband having sex with another woman. Is this a hobby of yours?"
I froze, and turned sharply. A man stood not far away.
He was tall and straight, dressed in a well-tailored black suit, blending seamlessly into the dim hallway.
His face was strikingly handsome, with a high nose and lips slightly raised, hinting at a hint of mockery.
I eyed him warily, "Who are you?"
He raised an eyebrow and said casually, "You don't know me? That's even funnier."
I remembered: he was Hodgson Hall, Shier's uncle.
Just now at the wedding, he'd been the subject of countless compliments; even Shier had been respectful.
I hadn't imagined I'd encounter him again in such a dreadful situation.
I forced myself to stand upright and tried to move away from him.
Hodgson suddenly grabbed my wrist.
The contact of skin sent a shiver through me, and I couldn't help but moan.
"Nicole, you're so hot," he leaned over and whispered in my ear.
"Go away! It's none of your business!"
I uttered the words through gritted teeth, my voice unusually hoarse and melodious, like a slutty bitch.
I tried to shake his hand off, but I couldn't.
He chuckled softly, "Nicole, do you know how many men would want to fuck you if you went out like this? Everyone here would call you a bitch for taking aphrodisiacs at the wedding."
The humiliation instantly flushed my face.
I clenched my fists, my nails digging into my palms. The pain briefly sobered me up for a second.
But the next second, the desire within me surged, more intense than ever before.
My vision started to blur.
I could no longer hold on, my body limp, and I nearly fell to the ground.
Hodgson's right hand firmly grasped my arm, his left hand wrapped around my waist.
The touch against my waist intensified my desire.
"Hmm..." A suppressed moan escaped my lips.
Damn it! Nicole, this man is Shier's uncle. Wake up!
I bit my lower lip with all my might, the taste of blood and the pain awakening what little sanity remained.
We were so close, I could smell the faint, pleasant scent of tobacco on him, but it still didn't ease the heat raging inside me.
"Nicole, if you're really feeling down, maybe I can help you."
His voice was sensual and alluring.
What? My rationality wasn't enough to grasp the deeper meaning of his words.
I looked up at him gratefully, "Please, help me. I need an antidote. Maybe you could take me to the hospital? But don't let my parents know."
Hodgson suddenly laughed, as if my request for help was a complete joke.
"Go to the hospital?"
He raised an eyebrow.
"Oh no, naive little cat, I'm not as kind as you think, but I can make you feel better in another way."
A strong sense of danger enveloped me, nearly suffocating me.
But there was no way I could escape Hodgson's grip now.
He reached out, his fingers gently lifting my chin.
His fingertips, a touch of coolness, touched my heated skin.
Then, his warm lips brushed my earlobe.
"Like, fuck you."
