Chapter 195

Chapter 195
[Amelia's POV]

My hands trembled against the soft leather of Alex's passenger seat. The city lights blurred past the windows as his black luxury car sped along the elevated highway, but I couldn't focus on anything except the thundering of my own heartbeat.

He actually said it. In front of everyone.

The words kept echoing in my mind: destined soul mate, future Luna of Silver Moon Pack. Alex had declared it so casually, so confidently, like he was announcing the weather. But for me? It felt like my entire world had shifted on its axis.

I stole a glance at him. His strong hands gripped the steering wheel with easy confidence, amber eyes focused on the road ahead. That familiar pine and leather scent filled the car, mixed with something purely him that made my chest tight with emotion.

"Where are we going?" I finally managed to ask, my voice barely above a whisper.

Alex's lips curved into that small smile that made my stomach flutter. "Somewhere special." His voice was warm, that Alpha authority softened into something tender. "Trust me?"

I nodded without hesitation. Because despite everything – the shock, the embarrassment, the way my entire life had just been turned upside down – I did trust him. Completely.

But I already knew the answer. I was falling. Hard. For this powerful, complicated Alpha who'd just claimed me in front of his entire Pack like I was the most precious thing in the world.

The highway curved upward, leaving the dense city behind. Trees began to line the road, and I realized we were heading toward the mountains that bordered Silver Moon Pack's private territory. The further we drove from civilization, the more my wolf stirred restlessly beneath my skin.

The moon, Ashley whispered. It's almost full.

She was right. Through the windshield, I could see the silver orb hanging heavy and bright in the darkening sky. It pulled at something deep in my chest, making my skin feel tight and electric.

Alex's scent grew stronger, more potent. I caught him glancing at me, those amber eyes flashing gold for just a moment.

"Almost there," he murmured.

The road wound higher into the mountains until Alex turned onto a private drive marked with discrete Silver Moon Pack symbols. We climbed through dense forest for another few minutes before emerging onto a circular platform carved into the mountainside.

My breath caught.

The viewing area was beautifully constructed – natural stone barriers blended seamlessly with the landscape, while elegant lighting cast everything in a warm, golden glow. But it was the view that stole my breath completely.

The entire city spread out below us like a glittering carpet. Thousands of lights twinkled in the darkness, creating rivers of illumination that stretched to the horizon. And there, rising proudly in the distance, the Silver Moon Pack headquarters building stood like a beacon, its windows reflecting the moonlight.

"Oh my God," I whispered, stepping out of the car on unsteady legs. "Alex, this is... it's beautiful."

The mountain air was crisp and clean, carrying the scent of pine and earth. I walked to the stone railing, my silver-gray eyes reflecting the city lights below.

"I can see why you love this place," I said softly. "It's like being on top of the world."

Warm arms slipped around my waist from behind, and Alex's solid chest pressed against my back. His familiar warmth enveloped me, that Alpha energy wrapping around me like a security blanket.

"Millie," he murmured against my ear, his voice low and intimate. "I brought you here because I have a surprise for you."

My heart skipped. "A surprise?"

His arms tightened around me, and I melted back against him. Up here, away from everyone else, he felt even more solid, more mine. The stress and confusion from his public declaration began to ease, replaced by something warmer and more certain.

This. This feels right.

"Keep watching the city," Alex whispered, his breath warm against my neck.

I settled deeper into his embrace, letting my eyes drift across the sparkling landscape below. The moon hung full and silver above us, casting everything in ethereal light. For a moment, everything was perfect and still.

Then the first burst of light exploded across the sky.

"Oh!" I gasped, my hands flying to cover my mouth.

Fireworks. But not just any fireworks – these were absolutely stunning. Silver and gold cascades of light painted the darkness, each burst more elaborate than the last. They erupted from multiple points across the city, creating a symphony of color and brilliance that took my breath away.

"Alex," I breathed, turning in his arms to look up at him. "Did you... how did you...?"

His amber eyes were soft, filled with an emotion that made my chest tight. "Do you like it?"

Instead of answering, I threw my arms around his neck and hugged him tightly. He was warm and solid and perfect, and the gesture was so incredibly romantic that I could barely process it.

"I can't believe you did this," I whispered against his collar.

His hands smoothed down my silver-gray hair, the touch gentle and possessive at the same time. "It's not over yet, my Omega."

I turned back to watch the display, still nestled in his arms. The fireworks continued their elaborate dance across the sky, each burst more beautiful than the last. But then something changed. The explosions began to take shape, forming letters that sparkled and lingered in the darkness.

My heart stopped.

There, written in brilliant silver and gold fire against the night sky, were two names: Alex and Amelia. They blazed side by side under the full moon, as if the universe itself was announcing our connection.

Tears spilled down my cheeks before I could stop them. My hands shook as I watched our names burn bright above the city, visible to anyone who looked up. It was bold and public and absolutely breathtaking.

"Alex," I whispered, my voice thick with emotion.

But he wasn't finished.

The fireworks shifted again, the letters dissolving into new words that made my breath catch in my throat: I Love You, My Soul Mate.

The message hung there in silver and gold light, each letter perfectly formed, blazing against the darkness like a declaration written by the stars themselves.

Alex's hands were gentle as he turned me to face him. His amber eyes were intense, filled with golden flecks that seemed to glow in the moonlight. When he spoke, his voice was rough with emotion and that unmistakable Alpha possession that made my knees weak.

"I love you, Amelia," he said, his words echoing the message still sparkling above us. "My soul mate."
