Chapter 61

As time passed, this renovation project became more than just a chore. It was a journey that brought them closer together, creating a stronger bond between them. Reyna knew, behind every paint applied and every piece of furniture chosen, there was love and care flowing between them.

“Thank you, Reyna, Aryan. You have helped me to renovate the house. Well, Reyna needs to rest at home. Are you guys ready for another pregnancy program?” Mr. Marcel said

“You’re welcome, Dad,” Reyna said with a smile.

Aryan then invited Reyna to go home to their house.

Reyna and Aryan stepped out of Mr. Marcel’s house with a sense of relief. The renovation of the house they had helped complete for the past few weeks had finally reached its end. The once dull walls now glistened with fresh paint, and the cramped living room now felt more spacious with better organization.

“I think Dad is very happy with the results,” Aryan said as he held Reyna’s hand.

“Yeah, I’m glad I could help too. But now I really need a break,” Reyna replied with a sigh.

The two of them walked to the car, and Reyna couldn’t help but smile as she watched Aryan open the door for her. “You always know how to make me feel special,” she said.

Aryan smiled, “It’s my job.”

Once they were seated in the car, Aryan started the engine and started driving. “So, about that pregnancy program…” Aryan began.

Reyna stared out the window, contemplating Aryan’s words. They had talked about having children before, but after several tries and failures, Reyna felt a little hesitant. “I want to, Aryan. But… I’m scared too,” she said slowly.

“Scared of what?” Aryan asked, looking at Reyna intently.

“Afraid that we’ll have to go through it all again. The pain, the disappointment…” Reyna answered, her voice shaking.

Aryan reached for Reyna’s hand and held it tightly. “We’re not alone. We have each other. And we have our families to support us. If we decide to try again, we’ll do it together,” he said firmly.

Reyna nodded, though doubts still lingered in her mind. “I know, but… I want to make sure we’re emotionally and physically ready. I want to give our child the best,” she said.

Aryan smiled softly. “We can start by preparing ourselves. Maybe we can consult a doctor and find out what’s best for us,” he suggested.

Reyna felt a little more at ease with the idea. “That might be a good idea. I’ll feel better if we have a plan,” she said.

After a few minutes of driving, they arrived at their house. Aryan parked the car and they both got out. Reyna felt the warmth of the afternoon sun on her skin, and the scent of flowers from the small garden in front of their house made her feel better.

“How about we make some tea and sit on the terrace? We can discuss this further,” Aryan suggested.

“Okay, that sounds great,” Reyna replied, pleased with the simple idea.

They entered the house and Aryan immediately headed to the kitchen to prepare some tea. Reyna took a seat on the porch, enjoying the serene atmosphere around them.

A moment later, Aryan came in with two cups of warm tea. “Here you go,” he said, handing one cup to Reyna.

“Thank you, honey,” Reyna said as she took the cup.

They sat side by side, enjoying their tea and talking about various things. Reyna felt comfortable being next to Aryan, and all the doubts that had been plaguing her mind began to ease.

“Reyna, I want you to know that no matter what happens, I will always be here for you. We will get through this together,” Aryan said sincerely.

Reyna looked at Aryan, feeling the genuine love and support from her husband. “I know, and that makes me feel stronger. Thank you for always supporting me,” she said.

They continued their conversation, discussing their dreams and hopes for the future. Reyna felt more optimistic about the possibility of having a child, and with Aryan's support, she felt ready to face the challenges that might come.

As the sun began to set, Reyna and Aryan sat close together, sharing laughter and stories. They knew that their journey would not be easy, but with love and commitment to each other, they believed that they could overcome any obstacles.

The day ended with feelings of hope and happiness, and Reyna felt ready for the next step in their lives.

A few days later Reyna came to her best friend Lyra's wedding. Well, the event was held out of town so she also needed more time. Aryan as her husband also came with them.

Reyna hugged Lyra as they were on the wedding stage, releasing their longing and feeling touched too. They had been friends for a long time

Reyna stood on the side of the road, staring at the beautiful scenery that stretched out before her eyes. The wedding of Lyra, her best friend since childhood, was about to begin. Although the trip out of town took more than two hours, it all felt worth it when she thought about the happy moment that was about to happen. Beside her, Aryan, her husband, smiled and held her hand tightly.

"Ready to see Lyra at the altar?" Aryan asked, breaking the comfortable silence between them.

Reyna nodded, her smile never fading. "I can't wait! She's going to be so beautiful today."

After a while, they arrived at the wedding venue. A cheerful and colorful atmosphere greeted them. Beautiful flower decorations and a magnificent white tent created a romantic atmosphere. Reyna felt a happy vibe in the air, and it made her even more excited.

When Reyna stepped into the reception area, her eyes immediately fell on Lyra standing at the altar. Her white wedding dress glistened in the sunlight, and her wide smile made Reyna feel touched. They had been through so much together, and now Lyra was standing on her happiest day.

Reyna immediately made her way to the altar, eager to hug her best friend. As she approached, Lyra saw her and her face lit up with happiness. They hugged each other tightly, as if wanting to erase all the distance that had ever existed between them.

"Reyna! I'm so glad you came!" Lyra exclaimed, her voice full of emotion.

"I wouldn't miss your special day, Lyra. You look amazing!" Reyna replied, tears of joy welling in her eyes.

They both broke the hug and stared at each other, feeling the warmth of a friendship that had been built over the years. They had shared laughter, tears, and unforgettable life experiences. Now, seeing Lyra on her wedding day made Reyna feel like all those memories were coming back to life.

Aryan, who was standing next to Reyna, smiled at his wife's happiness. He knew how important this moment was to her. "I'm going to take some pictures," he said, then began to pull out his camera from his bag.
