Why?

Sofia's P.O.V:

The day is going completely fine.

We talked with our friends in video calls. Thankfully no one talked about Jack. My mood was pretty good after talking with my friends.

Violet and James were at Violet's house as violet's parents were out of town for business.

Violet cursed James a lot as he gave her a big hickey which made me remember Jack.

But before tears could fill my eyes I shrugged that feeling off.

We were so perfect, but maybe it was only in my eyes. Jack's view is different as he loves Alice, not me.

We played the game where you need to act to explain a word. Drum charades. I laughed so hard that my stomach almost ached.

Peter was hilarious and Robbie uncle was more hilarious.

Peter literally acted like a Godzilla where his word was a monkey.

And where Jennie's word was a pig I guessed it Peter and when she revealed her word everyone burst out laughing looking at Peter.

Peter's reaction was something you can't forget in your whole life. It was absolutely hilarious.

It was afternoon and three of us were baking cookies.

Well, you can say only me.

I suggested it as it was great to keep myself busy.

Peter's lazy ass won't move from one place and Jennie who was trying to help me whole heartily was failing because of her beautiful cooking skill.

"Oh no." Jennie said and I looked at her.

I and Peter both burst out laughing. She had flour on her whole face and hair.

She was scrunching her nose.

"How did this happen?" I laughed and took a Napkin to dust off the flour from her face.

" I tried to open this packet and it was full so.." she said dusting off the flour from her dress.

" You're unbelievable." I laughed.

"Don't laugh. " Jennie pouted and making me laugh more.

"Go and take a shower. Just chose any cloth from my closet." I laughed and patted her back.

Jennie left the kitchen with a sigh.

"Now you get off from that stool and come here " I ordered Peter and he rolled his eyes.

"You'll do it or not?" I asked making myself sound serious.

"Fine." Peter came and stood by me with an annoyed expression.

"Remove that expression." I slapped his cheek lightly and he frowned.

"Stop frowning and help me." I chuckled.

I handed him the butter and powdered sugar and the hand blender.

"Mix it." I said and thankfully he listened to me.

I gathered the ingredients which are flour, choco chip, Coco powder, baking powder, baking soda and vanilla essence.

Then I brought the eggs.

"So you are gonna make our favorite cookies." Peter said as he looked at the ingredients.

" Yup." I smiled.

"Okay now give it to me." I took the bowl and started making the dough.

The dough was prepared in just 8 minutes.

"Now you'll shape them and add extra choco chips on them." I handed them to Peter and he listened to me.

I washed my hands and sat on the stool.

Peter was working with full concentration.

Jennie came in after showering and her mouth hung open.

"It's already finished?" She asked slightly disappointed.

"Yes." I giggled.

" I showered so quick so that I can help you." She said.

"We can cook something more if you want to." I suggested and she smiled.

"No, I'm not in. I'm done after I put these in the oven." Peter said.

"You will definitely join us." I said and Peter shook his head.

"No way." Peter put the pan in the oven.

"Peter." I said in a threatening tone.

"Sofia, I already did so much work." Peter protested.

"Shut up. You will help us and that's final." I said and Peter groaned in frustration making me and Jennie laugh.

We all made chocolate cupcakes and fruit custard as Jennie was insisting to make it.

Cooking was fun and a great way to keep you busy.

I put all of the foods in a tray and placed them on the table in the living room as Dad, Isabella aunty and Robbie uncle were there.

"Oh my god. These are looking so delicious." Isabella aunty said.

"The smell is amazing." Robbie quickly grabbed a cookie.

"You all cooked together?" Dad asked smiling.

"Yes.." I smiled.

"Actually no. We helped Sofia and basically, she cooked all these." Jennie said hugging me from the side.

"It's delicious." Robbie uncle said while eating the cookie.

"Thank you."I thanked him.

"I'll serve the custard." Jennie smiled and started serving.

Isabella aunty and Robbie uncle looked at each other in disbelieve.

" Well you don't even pick a glass in home and now you're ready to work. Wow." Isabella Aunty laughed.

"Mom. Stop it." Jennie rolled her eyes.

"I guess it's the effect of Sofia's company." Robbie uncle chuckled.

"You three can sit, we can take it by ourselves. Jennie go and sit." Dad said and Jennie nodded but she still finished serving the custard.

"Wow. You listened to me very well." Dad chuckled.

"Thank you." Jennie bowed and sat beside me giggling.

We talked for a few minutes, eat cookies and other things.

But after 10-15 minutes the doorbell rang.

"Who it can be at this time!" I thought.

"I'll get it." Dad said and got up from his seat.

Dad left the room to open the door and I saw Isabella aunty, Robbie uncle and Jennie and Peter all four of them exchanging glances.

I looked at Peter and he smiled breaking the communication he and Jennie were having with eyes.

What was in their mind!

I was confused.

"Can you two kindly tell me what you four are hiding." I asked and all four of them nervously shifted.

"Pe.." I couldn't finish my sentence as I heard footsteps.

I looked behind and saw Dad walking inside.

I smiled but it quickly vanished when I saw Him walking inside , behind dad.

All the previous memories attacking my mind from every side.

"What are you doing here?" I shouted and stood up.

Like why is he here! I don't understand.

He should be with Alice whom he loves.

Why isn't he leaving me alone.

Why?
