“Bhai is not in this room.” That’s what Khushi said when I walked inside her room.
“So? I came here to meet you.” I said shrugging and sat beside her.
“Tell your stories to someone else.” She said rolling her eyes.
“Why do you think that I am telling a story?” I asked her frowning.
“Well tomorrow is Bhai’s birthday and I am sure you are here to surprise him.” She replied smirking.
“In the first year I wished him normally and second year I kissed him as a gift. And now…” I trailed off smirking.
“Eww.. eww.. don’t say anything. Get out of my room.” She said getting up.
“But I came here to stay for the night.” I said looking at her frowning.
“You just gave me a stupid picture in my head so get out.” She said shaking her head.
I laughed and walked outside her room then walked towards Kalyan’s room. I flopped myself on his bed and he looked up from his books.
“I told you to stay in Khushi’s room right?” He asked frowning.
“She threw me out.” I replied innocently.
He looked at me with narrowing eyes and I just sigh taking out my phone saying “If you want, you can ask her.”
“Ok, ok! But don’t disturb me.” He said and continued to study.
“Why are you studying so hard?” I asked him frowning.
“Well we have final exams in few weeks. I need to score good in this year and also in next year to get selected in the basket ball team from Delhi.” He replied.
“What I don’t understand is if we have to select in some game then they should see whether we play good or not right. Why do they even look at our grades?” I asked shaking my head.
“You become either education minister or sports minister and change the system.” He replied rolling his eyes.
“I may!” I whispered walking towards him and sat beside him leaning on his shoulder by my back.
“I don’t doubt it.” He whispered back.
“I love you.” I suddenly said shocking myself.
He immediately coughed and asked “What?”
“Nothing!” I replied shaking my head.
He leaned back making my head fall on his lap and stared at me. He suddenly grinned and said “I love you too.”
“Thank god!” I mumbled closing my eyes.
“Why?” he asked and I can hear his confusion.
“I wanted you to say it first but I kind of just blurted it out. If you hadn’t confessed too then it would have been awkward.” I replied yawning.
He pulled my head up with his hands and pressed a kiss making me smile. I kissed him back and he again gently laid my head on his lap.
“You study and I will sleep.” I mumbled yawning more.
“Ok! But if I also get sleepy then I will wake you up.” He threatened.
“Try your luck.” I said shrugging and drifted off into sleep.
My phone alarm rang and I woke up to see that it is five minutes to 12. I looked to see that he is sleeping leaning on the headboard.
I grinned and got up walking towards my bag. I opened it and took out the box and the plate I brought.
I slowly tilted the box on the plate removing the lid and walked towards him. When it is correctly 12’o clock I sat beside him and placed the plate behind me.
I pecked his lips making him open his eyes and said “Happy birthday boyfriend.”
He pulled me to him and said “Thank you girlfriend.”
“Now cake time.” I said taking the plate from behind me.
“Halwa cake?” he asked looking at it excitingly.
“Yes! I begged Di to make it even though she was busy with UK. I definitely can’t understand your obsession.” I replied and he grinned.
He immediately took a piece with his finger and put it in his mouth while I sat there in shock.
“It is completely yours but atleast give me a piece.” I said glaring at him.
“Here!” He said placing a piece near my mouth.
I was about to eat it but he kissed me. I hit his shoulder and had the piece.
“So what gift do you want?” I asked him placing my head on his shoulder.
“I love you.” He replied and I smiled.
We both drifted off into sleep holding each other…

“No!” I said again.
“Please Kritika! This is great chance and it will be amazing.” Sanjay pleaded.
“No!” I said whining.
“Please! I will do anything for you but just accept.” He pleaded kneeling before me as I sat on his bed.
“I get scared when I look at them.” I said shaking my head.
“I will be there with you right? You can look only at me.” He said.
“We have exams and I need to study. You don’t have any problem as you are very good but I am not.” I said finding another problem hoping he will back away from this idea.
“I will study with you and help you but please accept this. Our careers will get set.” He said sitting beside me.
“There is still one year of college to think about our career.” I pointed out.
“Please!” He pleaded.
“I hate you!” I said placing my head on his shoulder.
“You don’t!” He said hugging me to him.
“You are right! Because I love you.” I whispered and immediately got up realizing what had I said.
“I will go!” I said in a rushed voice and immediately walked towards the door.
Before I could open the door, he closed it from behind and I pressed my forehead on it.
I calmly turned around and said “I know I shouldn’t have said that but it just came out. I really can understand if you don’t love me I mean we are just dating from past two years. That is not such a long time. Actually that is such a long time but I still can understand………”
My rambling was cut off with his lips stopping me. I smiled into his kiss and kissed him back.
It was not just normal kiss like everyday we do. It was more passionate and he is not releasing me at all.
I pushed him a little when I was out of breath and he pressed his forehead to mine whispering “I love you too.”
“You do?” I asked him shocked.
“Yes! And I will love you more if you accept my request.” He replied.
“Ok! I will sing with your band this week.” I said groaning.
“That’s like my girlfriend. I love you so much.” He said kissing me again and I just smiled.
“I will go!” I said after some time as it is getting late.
“Stay here.” He said holding my hand.
“Why?” I asked him frowning.
“You never stayed.” He replied.
“That’s because we can see each other 24/7.” I said smiling.
“Just for today stay with me.” He pleaded.
“What is with you and this pleading?” I asked him frowning.
“Learned from the best.” He replied.
“Ok! I will just call Priya Di and inform her.” I said and called her but she didn’t lift her phone maybe she is already sleeping.
Then I called Akhila Di and she lifted it after few minutes and said “You are going to stay in his room?”
“How do you know that?” I asked her frowning.
“Sanjay already messaged me asking for permission half n hour back.” She replied.
I looked at Sanjay and he is just grinning at me. I hanged up my phone wishing her good night and walked towards his bed.
“You sleep on the floor and I am fine here.” I said covering myself in the blanket.
“No way!” He said pushing me a little and settled himself.
“What will your Mom and Dad say?” I asked him.
“I asked them before you even came here.” He replied.
“How do you know that I will accept?” I asked looking at him.
“Well no one can say ‘No’ to me.” He replied shrugging.
“I am not getting sleep here. I think I should go to my room.” I immediately said getting up.
“Stop, stop! I thought I will beg you until you accept so I asked everyone.” He said holding me.
“See that wasn’t so bad to be honest right.” I said snuggling into his arms.
“You are crazy.” He said mumbling and we both drifted off into sleep.
