She tried not to cry, but it was useless. Images of the blood, Paul being stabbed multiple times replayed in her head. Oh, God, Sha was confused. She suddenly wished she didn't know any of this, because now she did, she didn't know what to think anymore. She asked Evelyn to stop her at a bar, claiming she wanted to drink alone. But when she sat at the counter, staring at the beer, she forced herself not to. The babies... she'd promised to stop drinking already
She stood up after sometime, leaving the beer untouched.
She drove to a nearby park, finding solace in athe garden, a well as the children playing around. She took in as much fresh air as abs could.

She hated her life. Kage was right, she was truly unlucky when it came to
She remembered how she met Westley, and how their grown into friends. He'd been so sweet. How could he become this kind of a monster?
Paul was supposed to tell you what the exact plan was, Evelyn's words replayed in her mind. 'He didn't tell me, so I have no idea. And since we don't know, that's a big loss on our side. So, we need to act wisely. You can't just go to the police with this information yet. Westley can simply deny everything and we wouldn't have proof. We need to gather the evidence ourselves. Sylvie. You need to stick around, and find something that can implicate him. You must also keep a close eye on him to ensure he isn't carrying out his plans yet
Sylvie shook the thought off, exhaling deeply. Oh, God, the thought of being close to Westley filled her with nothing but dread.
I'd everything Evelyn said was true, she didn't want to be anywhere near him. She didn't even know what to do anymore.

Westley sat at the restaurant, staring at the lady sitting across from him. Their drinks had been served, and while she was drinking from hers already, he was yet to touch his. "Why did you call me here?" He asked, his gaze not leaving hers.
Lana sighed, picking up her glass and sipping from it again.
"I've always wanted to meet you, Westley - the man who agreed to be with Sylvie."

His eyes glinted. "If you're here to say trash about my woman, trust me, that'd be a terrible thing to do. Sylvie and I are happy together. Now, I ask again, what do you want?" 15:03 Wed, Oct 9 R Chapter 59

She drew a deep breath; reclined in her seat and crossed her arms.
"I've just been curious. Does it ever bother you? That she's living with Kage right now?. I keep wondering," her eyes flickered to the window just beside them. "What kind of man would be cool with his woman living with her ex-husband? Do you even love And I trust her" her like like you claim?" Yes.
Lana laughed. "Woah
"Woah! So, you trust your pregnant girlfriend not to get romantically involved with her ex-husband, the same man she's pregnant for?" Westley hated what she meant. "Well, there wasn't much option when he gave her a good offer."
"And you failed at keeping her, Westley. No matter what, you shouldn't give a woman that level of trust" She reached for her glass again. "Because of your mistake, I also have to worry about keeping my man. For that, we'll need to work together, to make sure they don't ever get bad
t back."
Westley's brows arched. "What're you talking about?"
"I'm talking team work, Westley. We must join hands and make sure they see every reason to get separated."
Getting home, Sylvie found Kage in the living room, descending the staircase. He was still dressed in suit, indicating it couldn't have been long since he got home. "You left early, his voice was cold, as usual. "You didn't tell me about it. You think it's cool to just walk out of the office at head I was aching. The last thing she wanted was getting into an argument.

She walked towards him, heading to the staircase, but when she reached where he was, he held her hand.
She shivered, not realizing how much she needed someone's touch until that moment.
"What's wrong?" His voice was softer now, his eyes searching her face.

But before she turned from him, the tear dropped. Kage held her hand again, turning her around to face him.
"Hey, say something!" He was worried now. "What is going on?"
She couldn't hold it in anymore. She threw her hands around him, breaking into tears.
Kage was surprised his heart tearing at how much she cried. He felt angry. But he restrained his emotions, putting his hand around her, offering her some comfort. Few minutes later, Sylvie was seated in the living room, Kage handing a glass of wine to her. "Thank you," she muttered, drinking from it.

"So, what happened?" He sat close to her. "Is this about Westley?"
She didn't look at him. She feared he'd see how terrible she was at lying if she looked him in the eye as she answered

what is it, then? You couldn't have been crying for nothing"
Her chest was heavier now. "It's nothing," she sniffed. I just remembered certain things and couldn't stop crying about them. I heard it's common with people with my condition."
Kage could confirm that. After learning that Sylvie was pregnant, he'd done some research on it, wanting to know what to expect and how he could help her. Being emotional for no reason was one of them. "Are you sure you're fine? Is there anything you need?" He still asked, "Trust me, I'm good."
He picked up his phone, operated it for sometime before setting it down.
"I sent you some money. You should go shopping with friends, maybe. Or go to a park, anywhere fun. Just do something that can make you happy."
Sylvie's phone beeped beside her, a notification coming in. She glanced at it and gasped upon seeing the digits. It was thirty freaking thousand dollars!
