Chapter 99 back to school back to home
Soraya

I stood outside the car, waiting for Evander, my blazer in hand.

“Do we really have to go back?” I asked when he came out of the house and was standing close enough.

He laughed. “Your parents sent you to school. You do realize that, right?”

“I do not fucking care,” I replied. “I hate school, and I just want to spend more time with you. If that’s too much to ask.”

He shook his head. “But think of it like this. In a month, the school will be going on vacation, and you’ll spend all the holidays with me. Who wouldn’t want that?”

I smiled so hard my cheeks began tingling.

We had been in school for months now, and I hadn’t really thought about going home for the holidays because I knew Bianca would be there. Also my parents. I couldn’t stand any of them.

And spending time with Evander—just living together—it sounded amazing.

“I would love living with you.”

“Oh really?” he smiled.

“Of course.”

He leaned down and gave me a quick kiss before we both got into the car.

We drove in silence for a couple of minutes before I asked, “Would you be resuming your position as head of school?”

“I haven’t really thought about it,” he said, his concentration on the road as one of his hands found mine, intertwining our fingers. I lifted our hands to my lips and placed a kiss on them, and he did the same almost immediately.

“You have lipstick on your lips,” I said to him, and he turned to me and smiled.

“Do I look pretty with it?”

I couldn’t help but laugh. It still felt unreal that he was here.

“You know you look amazing with long hair, right?”

“Oh?” he said, giving me a little twirl.

I burst out laughing.

That was when I noticed the weird-looking tattoo on his hand, under his palm.

“What’s this?” I asked.

He pulled his hand away from mine quickly.

“Oh, nothing.”

I saw how tense his body became immediately, and I knew. He was lying. It was more than obvious.

“Are you lying to me?”

“Of course not. It’s nothing, just a scar.”

“Okay,” I replied, but I frowned again.

The drive to school was quiet, and the air felt tense, and I regretted bringing it up. I should have just let it go, but instead, I spoke.

“I’m sorry,” I said softly.

He looked at me from the corner of his eyes.

“What?”

“I never should have accused you of lying. And now everything is all weird, and I’m really sorry.”

“Baby,” he said, lifting our hands together and kissing them again, “you have nothing to worry about. This doesn’t mean anything, and it shouldn’t make you worry.”

“Okay,” I said with a smile, “but you know that the school dance is coming up, right?” I couldn’t stop my cheeks from turning red.

He turned to look at me quickly before his eyes went back to the road. “Oh, you never told me you liked dances.”

I shook my head. “Oh, hell no. Never liked dances. Never gone to any. But going with you doesn’t seem like such a bad idea.”

He smiled. This time I could see all his teeth. “Are you sure that’s what you really want?”

I nodded like a child who just got offered candy. “More than anything in this world, that is what I want.”

“Okay then, we are going to the dance together.”

“Really?”

“Really.”

When we got to school, he held my hand and walked me into the school building. Everybody’s eyes were on me and him. Whispers came from everywhere, and this time I welcomed it. I was the only one who hadn’t seen Evander for months. The entire school missed him, and he had just left without any explanation.

“I have combat training today for first period,”I said.

“Oh,” He said, “maybe after class you could come see me by the office.”

I nodded, and a small part of me loved that.

“Or,” I said, excitement all over my face, “what if I ditch class and come hang out with you? How does that sound?”

He laughed. “No.”

“You know you’re no fun, right?”

“I know.”

“But wait, did you miss me coming to your office?” I smiled, gazing down at my lips.

“Soraya,” he whispered, “we’re in public. Don’t tempt me.”

“Oh, I will.” I licked my bottom lip.

And he moved back slightly.

“Baby, we are in public, in school. Do you want me to devour you here in front of everybody?”

I leaned closer to him.

“I would love that.”

And I wasn’t just saying it to tease him. I would actually love it.

“Go to class,” he said with a laugh before he started walking away.

“You didn’t kiss me.”

As those words left my mouth, he stopped in his tracks, turned around, and walked to where I stood. He pulled me closer to him in front of everybody, pressing his lips on mine in a passionate kiss that made my knees feel weak and almost give out. But his hand went to my waist, steadying me from falling. His tongue explored my mouth.

I felt a tingle between my legs, and I quickly pressed them together. I was soaked, and more than anything I wanted him to take off my clothes and fuck me till I forgot how to speak.

When he pulled back, my arms were still around his neck, and everyone stopped and stared at us. But right now, I really didn’t care.

He leaned in and whispered in my ear, “Everyone is staring at us, baby.”

“Let them,” I replied.

When he was gone, I knew how almost everybody made fun of me. I would be laughed at, insulted, but right now I was the one laughing.

I pulled him in again and kissed him breathless. “You need to get back to class,” he said in between kisses.

“Okay, daddy,” I whispered, and his eyes widened, and I could feel his excitement in his pants.

“Everyone get to class!” he yelled as he walked into his office, and I just stood there smiling.
