Chapter One Hundred and Ninety Eight.

Chapter One Hundred and Ninety Eight.
Ember's POV

Somehow, Charlie was able to drag me to the club with Gwen right on my shoulders. They were like weapons fashioned against me. This time around, I was not even allowed to show up in my own clothes.

I was a little bit bigger than Gwen so she got me a new dress by herself which was shocking to me. A black ridiculously short dress that showed my tanned legs off and was low cut on the cleavage area too. I didn't feel very comfortable wearing it and I told both of them, but they said I looked good.

Which I kind of agreed with them. This was a first for me. Charlie gave me a shot of whiskey which I don't even know how he got his hands on it in the first place since we have not gotten into the club yet.

Then we started out and by the time we entered the club, I was overwhelmed and a little high from the shots of whiskey that I took. But then, I was still aware of myself and the environment that I was in and I was not in denial of the attention that has been focused on us since we came in.

“Why are you not working today again?” I asked her as she was dancing beside me.

“I'm off today Chile. So, I'm taking my home girl for a spin.” She squealed happily and took hold of my hands and pulled me to the dance floor.

I don't know what to do, but I moved my body to the beat in a weird ass way. Charlie was hanging around us in a kind of protective way that was cute. He didn't allow anyone to step too close for comfort.

“Just move your body girl. You're sexy as fuck and the men here can't seem to get their eyes off of you.” She said in my ear when she came near me.

And that was what I did. For the next thirty minutes, I actually danced feeling free and all of that. This is the first time in my life that something like this has happened to me. I didn't expect it to be this mind blowing. So, I went with the flow instead.

“Don't look back.” She said suddenly. My body locked up. She had her eyes behind me and I was a little bit confused.

“What are you talking about?” I asked her, feeling suddenly scared.

“Ermm….” She was about to speak, when the words were taken away from her mouth. Alex slipped behind her from behind me. I know they have something going on, but the face that she freezes up when he's around is something I should ask her later.

“Are you okay?” I mouthed and she nodded. In the next few seconds, she was out of the place as he dragged her. He's so annoying, I huffed to myself and I was about to start dancing when I felt a strong set of arms wrap around my waist. I smelled him before I even saw his face.

Charlie walked away and I kind of hated how much I was alone right now.

“What the fuck do you think you're doing here, wearing this dress?” He growled in my ear and I could feel the hairs on my body start to stand.

“Wh…..”

He spun me to face him. His face dropped to mine and he said in my ear.

“You ghost me like I was not existing for a week and now you show up in my club wearing close to nothing and letting all these hungry bastards look at what is mine. Tell me what I should do to you.” He sounded so angry. But I was so turned on too. I wanted to kiss him and let him do whatever he wanted to do with me. Is that weird? The way his body was plastered to mine was not helping issues at all.

“Why are you so angry?” I whispered to him. I know he heard even in the whole chaos that was happening in the club right now. I was not paying a single attention to anything but to him.

“Are you asking me that? Red, you know what you do to me already.” As if he wanted to point it out, he pressed his arousal into my abdomen. I clenched my thighs together. He does not have any idea what he's doing to me too.

“You don't get to pull a stunt like this Red. If you are ready to face what is going on between us, come with me, but if you're not, you need to get the hell out of here before I do something that would actually make the police get me arrested.” He sounded so cold that I felt doused with cold water. It was as though an ice bucket was overturned on my head and I staggered away from him by two steps.

I was able to look at him well now. His eyes looked dangerous like he would do something bad as he had said.

“Fuck you.” I whispered, my lips shaking again and I felt like I would start to cry if I didn't get out of this place.

So, instead of waiting for that to happen, I wrenched my arms out of his grip and walked out of the club, feeling wobbly on the heels that Gwen made me wear. But somehow, I didn't fall off. So, that's cool.

When I stepped outside, it was raining. Just my luck. Instead of walking through the side walk that led to the garage, where I stayed, I walked outside into the rain.

I don't know why I did it. Maybe to feel refreshed or to wash my pain away right now. I just walked. I could feel tears roll down my cheeks but they were washed away by the rain. I don't know how long I did, but I continued to walk.
