Wen Baobao was initially immersed in the joy of his parents' company, but as soon as he heard that He Siming was going back to work, his angelic face clouded.
He sniffled, then suddenly stared at He Siming with his hands on his hips.
"My mommy told me that while you and I are ninety-nine percent related, there is still one percent that we are not. Mommy and I are on our own, and you can go wherever you want."
Goodness…
"When did I ever tell him that?" Wen Shuyue had no idea what the little thing was up to. "Wasn't he delighted when I told him He Siming was his father? Why has he suddenly changed his mind?"
“Mommy, I am just trying to goad him to stay. He may not go to work." Wen Baobao reached for Wen Shuyue and whispered to her.
Wen Shuyue was speechless.
“Like father, like son.” Wen Shuyue finally understood why this little thing had such a high IQ. Sometimes she thought it was good for him to be smart, but sometimes she wished he were a little stupid.
That her kid was a know-it-all sometimes made her seem like an idiot.
He Siming certainly did not hear the whispers between the two of them. After hearing Wen Baobao's words, his face became straight.
"Are you sure you want to have nothing to do with me?" He reached out and raised Wen Baobao's chin and asked.
"Yes, of course. I just need mommy alone. I don't need you." Wen Baobao said firmly and kept nodding his head.
The father and son were neck and neck in imperiousness. They gazed at each other, and Wen Shuyue seemed invisible to them.
Geez!
Wen Shuyue stroked her forehead helplessly. God knew how many times she sighed silently in her heart.
After tempering her mood, Wen Shuyue took Wen Baobao in her arms and then looked at He Siming with some embarrassment.
“Don't take what he said seriously. If you are busy at work, you can leave first. Drop us off at the amusement park. We are sorry to trouble you today. Thanks, anyway. "
"You're welcome." He Siming said in a flat tone.
He Siming’s eyes were still fixed on Wen Baobao. The little guy looked much like him when he was a child. Whenever he saw Wen Baobao, the chill in He Siming's eyes was unconsciously replaced by tenderness.
Even though Wen Baobao was smart enough to make He Siming feel guilty about going back to work, He Siming left them at the door of the amusement park.
"Hum! Such a workaholic.” Watching the galloping Rolls-Royce luxury car, Wen Baobao, with his hands on his hips, could not help but grumble in a low voice.
Wen Shuyue knew that her son was upset and knew that Wen Baobao had always longed for fatherly love. Now that he finally knew who his father was, he certainly wanted to get in more touch with his father.
"Am I really going to promise He Siming that I will marry him for a year and live in his house?" Wen Shuyue's eyes drooped slightly, and a bitter smile appeared on her face.
"Mommy, I want to go on a roller coaster, so why don't you come with me?"
Wen Baobao shouted excitedly, pulling Wen Shuyue's hand. Before Wen Shuyue knew it, she was taken away.
The two spent a long time at the amusement park. Wen Baobao, after all, was a child, and soon became so excited about his adventure that he completely forgot He Siming’s absence.
Wen Baobao was having a good time when the staff suddenly came to them.
"I'm sorry, because there will be heavy snow tonight, so the amusement park will have to close early." Said the staff.
"It's all right. Safety comes first. I understand. We’ll leave now." Wen Shuyue was so agreeable that after talking to the staff, she left with Wen Baobao.
Wen Baobao was very upset and complained about it all the way. Wen Shuyue knew he hadn’t had enough fun in the park.
"Hey, mommy, is that Mr. He's car?" Wen Baobao said in a surprise, pointing to the car.
Wen Shuyuet looked in the direction Baobao pointed and cracked a sweet smile.
Baobao was right. That was indeed He Siming's car.
The next second, the door of the fancy Rolls-Royce was opened, and a tall, handsome man stepped out.
He Siming raised his lip slightly with an arc of charm, and his eyes were fixed on Wen Baobao. He quickly walked up to the two, then reached out and raised Wen Baobao's little chin.
"Sorry, I can't play with you. But I'll take you home. What do you think? "
“Whoopee! But I want to play.” Wen Baobao was happy at first, but thinking that the amusement park was closed, he pulled a long childish face.
It was getting colder, and He Siming knew the amusement park would close.
His cold eyes glanced at Wen Shuyue and whispered, "do you have any plans for tonight?"
Plans?
Wen Shuyue raised her eyebrows. What did he mean by asking her if she had any plans? Did he want to take her and Baobao out? But the weather was so bad.
"No, no, mommy has nothing planned for tonight. Are you going to have a date with mommy?" Before Wen Shuyue could open her mouth, Wen Baobao answered in her stead.
“Son, stop embarrassing me, for God's sake!” Wen Shuyue thought, rolled her eyes, and twitched her lips.
He Siming glanced at Wen Shuyue unconsciously and was suddenly in a good mood.
"Since you have no plans, I'll take you out." He said gently.
"Great! I haven't had enough fun today. I like going out with mommy and Mr. He!” Wen Baobao was thrilled.
It seemed that Wen Baobao would act like a real child only when he was with He Siming. Wen Shuyue thought Baobao was so sensible and smart that he had even made her forget that he was just a child.
An inexplicable sense of guilt instantly struck her mind, Wen Shuyue felt her nose sore and eyes watered.
She owed so much to her son that he didn't have his father for so many years. If she hadn't been so stupid and fooled, maybe everything would be different now.
He Siming took the two of them to the underground playground, an indoor playground where they could watch the rain and snow while playing inside.
"Wow! I've heard from my classmates that there is such a place, but I've never been here before. Mr. He is so nice. I like you a little bit now. "
Wen Baobao flushed with excitement and kept bouncing around while grabbing He Siming's hand.
