Chapter 7

Gabriel stood up to greet Matthew."You are here too, Mr. Montefiore," he says.

"Yeah, someone invited me to have lunch here." "I can't say no to her." He looked at his cousin and He widened his eyes to convey that she agreed with him.

Amanda didn't get what her cousin meant, so she frowned. She didn't invite him; they just met at the door. Why was he lying? She knows him. Lying isn't in his vocabulary.

Gabriel looked at the woman Matthew was referring to. Amanda suddenly smiled and nodded at the man. Gabriel also nodded at the woman.

"Nice to meet you again, Mr. Montefiore."

"Same to you, Mr. Magno."

"Enjoy your lunch with her."

"Yes, I enjoy it too." Matthew responded to him.

Gabriel sat down.

Matthew doesn't seem to want to sit down; he seems to want to sit at Gabriel's table.

When Amanda saw her two friends were coming, she said, "Matthew, sit down now that they are coming."

Before Matthew sat next to his cousin, his eyes were on Rosy again.

Rosy looked right at Matthew. So Matthew gave her a seductive smile again.

Rosy immediately focused her eyes on her food. Why is he always looking at her? Well, she's the same; they're the same. But the truth is, the snobbish guy is really handsome, and his seductive smile will have you salivating. But she will swallow it first; she is still brokenhearted.

Gabriel put two slices of pizza and barbecue on a plate. "Rosy, eat a lot, okay. Try this too." He placed the plate in front of her.

Rosy wants to protest because she was already full of the pasta she ate. This restaurant is generous and gives you a lot. But she couldn't refuse it because it was already in front of her. "Thank you, sir," she just said. She ate quickly so they could finish.

At Matthew's table while they were eating, he didn't talk a lot. When the two women were going to ask him, he only answered yes or no. His attention was really on the woman at the other table. He kept glancing at her.

"Matthew, do you know that woman?" Amanda asked her cousin in a whisper; she had been noticing this for a while now—he was looking at her constantly.

Matthew looks at Amanda. He didn't answer her, but he shook his head.

"So, do you like her?" She whispered again.

Matthew nodded to her.

Amanda shook her head. Whoa, he's become mute now. Her grumpy cousin was in love; she can tell it by the way he looked at the woman at the other table. She glanced at the woman as well. Well, she was simply pretty cute. She nodded because that woman was definitely different from all the other women her cousin met.

When Gabriel saw that Rosy had run out of food on her plate, "You want some more?" he asked.

She shook her head; she was so full that she even felt like her denim skirt was a bit tight now.

"Are you sure?" Gabriel is still sure of her.

Rosy's response was gesturing because, really, she was so full she couldn't speak. And she just signaled to her stomach that it would explode if she ate more.

Gabriel suddenly laughed because she was so cute with the way her hands pointed at her stomach.

Rosy smiled because he was also cute to look at while laughing.

Matthew automatically looked at the other table. and suddenly he feels envious. He wants to laugh like that too. Especially if the woman you love makes you laugh. Because of how he feels, he suddenly lost his appetite. "I go to the restroom," he said.

The girls nodded to him, and he immediately left.

"If you are done, Rosy, let's go."

Rosy looked at the three pieces of pizza and barbecue that were left. She wants to take out, but she is shy about telling her boss.

Gabriel understands what rosy eyes mean. "Let's wrap it; you can eat when you get to your house."

Rosy's smile was wide. Of course, she will have a snack later.

When they got up, Gabriel looked at the other table to say goodbye to Matthew, but he wasn't there, so he just nodded at the women with him who were looking at him.

After paying and getting what they wrapped, Rosy and Gabriel immediately left.

While walking back to their table, Matthew saw that the adjacent table was empty."They're gone," he said suddenly, feeling sad, and his foot also agreed with him. He walks slowly as if he doesn't want to stay with his cousin anymore and just leaves. But he needs to say goodbye to his cousin. When he reached the table, "Amanda, I'll go first, okay?" he said.

"You didn't finish your food yet, Matthew?"

"I'm full. Bye!" He didn't even bother to look at his cousin's friends. He left.

"Amanda, why is your cousin so sad all of a sudden?"

"That's just the way he is; you don't understand his behavior. Sometimes he had a grumpy attitude, it's a good thing he's a handsome guy."

"You're right, Amanda. Well, I like him."

"Don't continue, Lou; you're not his type. I know him," Amanda snapped.

"Yeah, I feel it, Amanda." He didn't bother to look at me even once.

"He's like that. If he's not interested in something or someone, let's not talk about him; let's eat."

Both women nodded at Amanda.

when Rosy arrived at their house. As usual, he quickly got out of the boss's car. Gabriel smiled and shook his head.

Rosy quickly walked into the driver's seat in case he got off and then said, "Can I come inside your house?" not because she doesn't want to. Isn't she just not comfortable?

Gabriel was about to open his side door when Rosy knocked on the window. So he took it down.

"Sir, thank you for the delicious lunch!" Rosy said it immediately.

Gabriel smiled, as he really wanted to go down. "I should be the one to say thank you, Rosy. "Because you accompanied me."

"That's nothing, sir." There's an exchange of delicious food, and besides, it's my pleasure to be with you, sir; you know you're the boss. "Alright sir, just be careful on the road." She raised her hand and waved to him.

Gabriel cannot do anything; he started the car. "Bye; see you in the office, Rosy," he said with a smile and left.

Rosy's brow furrowed. What did I hear about you at the office? Why? She worked in another department. Maybe he was just joking with her. She went inside.

Matthew didn't know where he was going; the sun was still bright. If he goes home to his parents, they won't be there because they went to New York. His mother will attend a fashion show by a world-famous designer. Well, his mother was a supermodel when she was young. He sighed and you could see on his face that he was annoyed or whatever he was feeling. He wants to get rid of feeling frustrated. Why did he feel this way? Because he was jealous of Gabriel Magno, because of the woman with him? "Ahhh" "Damnit!"nhe exclaimed, really he felt so annoyed. He decided to go home to his condo first. It was too early to go to the bar where he usually meets his friends.

When Rosy entered the house. "How is your date?" Lia immediately asked if she was sitting in the living room.

Rosy wondered why she didn't leave. Today is Saturday, and she is always outside. She sat down and put the leftovers they had wrapped on the center table.

Lia looked at it."What is that?" she asked, even though she knew it was food because the name of the restaurant was written on the plastic bag.

"Our leftovers."

"My gosh, Rosy. Did you manage to wrap it?" If she never does this, it's embarrassing, even more because she's with her boss. Of course, her attitude is that of a socialite.

"No, I didn't say. Sir, Gabriel is the one to say wrap up. It's so delicious and expensive, and maybe they'll just throw it away."

"It seems that you and sir are very close, Rosy." Envy was in Lia's voice. Who is not the big boss? Who was invited, Rosy?

"No, we just met in person; you know this, Lia. You must be close to him, because you work longer in the company."

"No, Rosy, he's like a vampire; he never shows up himself. You can count on your fingers and toes if it can be seen. His personal assistant always faces his people."

"The boss, it's like that. Their personal assistants are working hard for them."

"Yes, as we see in the dramas, it's true that Sir Gabriel is just an example. Ah, Rosy. "Do you want to come later?" She changed the subject.

"Where are you going, Lia?"

"Our coworkers invited us to go to a bar." You know Saturday night is time to relax for single ladies like me."

"Just you, don't our coworker already know that I have a boyfriend?"

"Oh, yes, they sometimes hear you talking to your ex." Don't pay attention to them; you're single now, Rosy. "Come with me; let's enjoy ourselves again like last night."

"Again, Lia?"

"It's only now, Rosy. Then you're still brokenhearted, right? Don't tell me you've moved on. It's only been a day, Rosy."

Rosy looked at Lia. As if she was right. because her cheating ex didn't even cross her mind. only now if Lia hadn't reminded him.

"Oh, why are you looking at me like that, Rosy? Don't tell me that what I said was true?

Rosy didn't answer right away. when she told her that her boyfriend was getting married. It's like she doesn't know what she's feeling. That's where she was angry; that's why she rushed to the church; that's not where he got married. She will object, of course, because she is the girlfriend. But the opportunity did not agree with her; if they meet or run into each other on the road, she'll really give him a 4 hard slap to his face, which means I hate you, bastard.

"Who doesn't forget right away?" Someone came suddenly, and he was overqualified, right, Rosy?"

Rosy shook her head; she knew who she was referring to—the boss? For her, it won't happen even if the boss says one day. Rosy, let's date for real. She will refuse because she really doesn't feel anything. Not like that man, the owner of the auto car they went in. She wanted to slap her face and make that man sink back into her mind. Why she keep thinking that man? They don't know each other.

"Rosy, are you okay?" Lia exclaimed at the silence of the person in front of her.

"Alright, I'll go with you," she agreed.

"Get some rest, Rosy. So that you have enough energy to drink tonight."

"Lia, I won't drink so much that it hurts my head a lot." She might kiss a man again if she gets drunk, she doesn't want that to be her habit. Fortunately, the face of the man she kissed last night was not clear to her.

Rosy wondered how it would be if the man's face was clear in her mind and then they met. Oh, she must have been bowed down when this happened. She also wished that the man was also drunk so that their faces would not be clear in their memories.

"Alright, take it easy; after all, your heart's mourning is over, Rosy."

Rosy shook her head because of what Lia said. He stood up."I'll leave you; I'll rest first. Aren't you going somewhere today?"

"No, just tonight, so I have a lot of energy."

"Alright, I'll sleep for a while, Lia," she headed to the room.

Lia followed Rosy's gaze. She can say she's lucky if the boss wants something from her, like love. She will become an instant Cinderella. They know how wealthy Gabriel Magno was.

By seven o'clock, Rosy and Lia were ready to go to the bar.

Lia looked at Rosy; she was so simple. She was wearing pants and puffy sleeves. While she is wearing a miniskirt and puff sleeves on a crop top with high heels, Rosy is just wearing flat sandals. They are really different when it comes to fashion.

Rosy noticed that Lia was looking at her."Oh, why do you look at me like that, huh?"

"Because you're beautiful," she simply replied.

Rosy smiled."You're still joking, Lia; let's go."

Lia nodded at Rosy with a smile. But for her, really, Rosy was beautiful.
