Chapter 60 Chapter 61

Chapter 60 Chapter 61
Flashback in College

Marlie hurriedly made her way to her sister's lecture hall in search of her, but to her dismay, Charlie was nowhere to be found. All Marlie wanted was to enjoy a quiet moment with her sister over the coffee she had brought.

As she scanned the area, Marlie noticed Chad, Spark, and Gideon sitting in the back row but decided to move on. However, her path was blocked by Ken, much to her frustration.

"What the fuck...!" she yelled.

"Well, well, well, look who we have here!" Ken remarked, catching the attention of his friends.

Marlie still held the two coffee cups tightly in her hands, glaring at Ken for blocking her way. She could sense Chad and the others observing the situation. But she wanted to vanish from their sight because their first encounter was not favorable for her.

"Excuse me, let me through," she responded, asserting that she wasn't there for them and needed to continue on her way.

How she wished to throw the coffee at Ken, but she refrained. Besides, some senior students were nearby, and the tutor stood by Chad, Gideon, and Spark.

When Ken stubbornly refused to step aside, Marlie couldn't help but cuss at him, "Damn it, get out of my way Dummy!!"

Gideon and Spark were taken aback by her outburst. Even the tutor, along with the others, couldn't hide their astonishment at Marlie's behavior, while Chad smirked in response."This girl doesn't know when to cause trouble!"

"Who is that?"

The tutor questioned the trio, but Chad intervened, telling the tutor... She's my niece!"

Spark looked like he wanted to throw up. "That fat stray cat is his niece? Shadow, can you come up with something better next time?!" Spark questioned inwardly.

"Did your devil friend send you?" Marlie questioned Ken.

All eyes widen in shock as they hear these words from Marlie. Chad couldn't believe what Marlie had just called him.

He pointed at himself, scanning the faces of his friends in disbelief, seeking confirmation that Marlie was indeed referring to him.

"You...!" Ken trailed off, choked by the words he wished not to utter to avoid tarnishing his image. He scoffed, looking at Marlie with frustration.

"You are so toxic!" Ken whispered, but his voice carried a hint of rage.

Marlie stood there, glaring at Ken. He annoyed her, just as Chad's presence did.

"And you are so evil!" she retaliated.

As Marlie attempted to leave, Chad halted her progress. "Hey, little pumpkin, how about buying us some coffee?" Chad's voice took her by surprise, causing her to turn and face them.

However, she refrained from glaring due to the tutor standing before them.

"We need four cups of coffee here, junior," Chad sarcastically ordered, intentionally trying to provoke Marlie.

Deep down, frustration welled up within her. How she wished she could pour the coffee in her hand on Chad. But, with the tutor still present, she swallowed her anger and begrudgingly replied, "Yes, Senior Chad."

Her words dripped with sarcasm. She placed her coffee cups down on an unoccupied seat and went to buy them the requested coffee.

Ken took excitement in Chad's actions, while Spark and Gideon exchanged shocked glances.
How is Chad giving this girl the chance to fool again? Chad was pleased to see Marlie's helplessness, and Marlie was clearly angered; she couldn't act out due to the watchful eyes of their tutor.

Upon returning to the coffee shop, Marlie opted for five cups of coffee instead of four, raising suspicions about her intentions.

The tutor was done already and had left when Marlie got back and started distributing the coffee happily. Chad observed her method of selection, doubting whether she had intended to spike someone's drink.

To Chad's relief, Ken expressed his approval of the coffee after taking a sip, confirming that it was not spiked. The smug look on Ken's face irritated Marlie, yet she had no power. Or maybe that was not the case?

This reassured Chad, and Gideon and Spark also noted that there was nothing unusual about their drinks.

But when it got to Chad's turn, Marlie handed Chad his coffee, smirking wickedly at his face, making sure he noticed, causing him to suspect that his own cup might indeed be spiked.

With an evil smirk, Marlie announced that they should enjoy themselves, all the while keeping her gaze fixed on Chad.

Chad was uncertain about whether to drink the coffee while Marlie took the last cup for herself.

"Wait! I want your cup of coffee!" Chad demanded.

When Chad requested to switch cups, Marlie vehemently refused, insisting that the drink was hers.

"No way! This is mine!" she shouted, pulling her hand aside to prevent Chad from taking her coffee.

Confused by Marlie's refusal to take back the coffee she had given him, Ken, Gideon, and Spark exchanged puzzled glances. "Did she spike your coffee?" Spark asked and tried taking the drink from Chad's hands but he refused.

Their suspicion grew, especially when Marlie stared back at them in fear. Chad decided to take matters into his own hands, taunting Marlie and demanding that she hand over her coffee.

"Give me what you have and drink this, little pumpkin!"

When Marlie resisted, Chad seized Marlie, by pulling her closer to him and forcing the exchange. His friends were left shocked and bewildered by his actions.

"Drink it!" Chad firmly instructed Marlie to drink the coffee he had given her, smirking at her happily, displaying his triumph. However, Marlie pleaded with him not to go through with the switch.

Feeling victorious, Chad comfortably settled in his seat, relishing in the fear on Marlie's face. With a smirk, Chad urged Marlie to drink her new coffee, almost taunting her.

Chad took the coffee to his mouth and took a sip.
But it turned out that particular coffee was the one she spiked. Unfortunately for Chad, he realized too late that something was wrong with the drink he had just consumed.

"Double Fuck!"
Exclaimed Chad as he spat out his coffee, unintentionally staining his shirt. The bitterness of the beverage lingered in his mouth, causing him to cover it. He couldn't keep himself from glaring at Marlie.

Marlie settled into a seat, pleasantly sipping her own cup of coffee.

"What's the matter, Chad?"
Ken inquired, visibly surprised by Chad's reaction.

Spark shifted his gaze between Chad and Marlie, silently questioning why Chad had expelled the coffee.

Chad remained tight-lipped, trying his best to control the rage seething within him, as Spark decided to taste the coffee himself, only to join Chad in spitting it out.

Ken glared at Marlie, who sat contentedly enjoying her coffee.

"What did you put in his coffee?" Ken interrogated Marlie, but before she could respond, Spark beat her to it.

"Vinegar," Spark replied.

Gideon's eyes widened in disbelief. Marlie had added vinegar to Chad's coffee. How? Wasn't that coffee originally Marlie's? Was the coffee intentionally meant for Chad? Had Marlie deceived him into consuming that brew?

Growing increasingly annoyed with Marlie's trickery and the resulting coffee stain on his shirt, Chad stared at her coldly. His icy gaze sent shivers down her spine, and she realized it was time to depart.

Standing up, she attempted to maintain her composure as she stared back at Chad.

"Now you know what it's like to deal with Magdalene Anderson," she declared.

"I'm bitter!", Marlie concluded, leaving them stunned.

However, before she could leave, Chat didn't want her to have the last say so he shouted... "Fat Stray Cat!" He cussed at Marlie while attempting to wipe the spilled coffee off his shirt.

Marlie heard him and paused her track for a moment in anger, yet, she decided to ignore him. It wasn't something new that she was fat. But a stray cat? Asshole!

Chad was so pissed off. It was the first time someone had stood up against him and it irked him.

He threw the handkerchief angrily on the floor and his face turned emotionless.

"You just wait, little pumpkin!" He swore to himself angrily.

Back to the present,

"I still feel the bitterness in my mouth." Chad declared.

"And now she is going to pull your hair"
Spark giggled at this.

"I can imagine myself being bald"
Chad joked and the two of them couldn't help themselves from laughing.
