Chapter 5
I copied the chat records between Jacob and my sister-in-law and registered a social media app using his phone account.
"You both want to be together, right? I'll help you make it happen."
I deliberately chose the username 'Aixi' and set our wedding photo as the profile background-it showed our silhouettes. Too obvious, and people might suspect something.
While he was asleep, I posted a message.
"Being in love with my dear sister, every day is blissful. I hope to be with her for a lifetime!"
The comments below read: "Is it what I think it is?"
"Your own sister? You're a beast!"
Though the comments and popularity weren't high, it didn't matter.
I tossed and turned all night, barely sleeping, and woke up with dark circles under my eyes.
At breakfast, my mother-in-law brought up the subject of Jacob and me having children again.
"You've been married almost a year now; when are you having kids? I'm not like other mothers-in-law, demanding a boy. I don't care about the gender; just have a baby soon."
She seemed understanding, even as my sister-in-law, nestled in Jacob's arms, chimed in.
"Yeah, sister-in-law, hurry up and have one! Just as cute as brother would be great!"
She pinched Jacob's cheek, and they started playfully fighting.
I felt nauseous but managed a weak smile.
"I, too, wish for a baby of our own soon!"
That seemed to reassure my mother-in-law.
In your dreams!
A family of disgusting creatures!
I would never have a child; a child whose values might end up twisted like yours.
My sister-in-law, scrolling through short videos, saw that a nearby amusement park had opened and clamored to go.
Jacob asked for my opinion, and of course, I agreed with a smile. I was eager for them to spend more time together.
My sister-in-law eagerly pulled Jacob to the Ferris wheel. "Brother! They say if two people ride the Ferris wheel together, they'll never part!"
"Amelia, come with us," Jacob said to me.
"I'll pass, I'm a bit afraid of heights. I'll take photos of you two from below," I declined. I had no intention of going; I needed to gather as much evidence as possible.
Initially, Jacob would glance at me to gauge my reaction, but seeing that I was not upset, he gradually stopped asking and showed their true, uninhibited behavior, feeding each other and wiping each other's mouths.
My sister-in-law even hugged Jacob and kissed him on the cheek.
Quite the spectacle.
I found a spot where I could see them, sat down, and checked the post from the previous day.
The post had gained some traction, with more responses than I expected. Some were just watching the drama unfold, others were cursing me.
"How disgusting, are you even human? To think of your sister in that way?"
"I see his background is a wedding photo; he surely couldn't marry his own sister. Could he have deceived a wife?"
"Damn, what a scumbag. Such a man is too horrifying."
I didn't reply. There were a few private messages telling me to go die-let them curse; they weren't cursing at me.
Still, some didn't believe it, thinking it was all staged for views.
"It's just acting, right? I don't believe it. Probably just for views, some people will do anything to become popular!"
I deliberately posted another new message.
